Gandhi Park

One of the attractions of Port Blair is Gandhi Park. Near administrative buildings of the city, this park was great admired by the viewers. But today there is a shabby look everywhere in the park. The water activities have been stopped, although it may be considered as good picnic spot. The flora and fauna of the park is still attractive. The statue of Gandhiji is really a good piece of work. The other works of art are also good.

Very good. Well maintained Garden and Pond. We can get Free Fish Pedicure if we put our legs in pond at Gandhi Park. I enjoyed

You get the old vibe still revolving around the park.
Missed the Joker who keeps laughing when you put a coin.

Administration can take an initiative and develop the toy train and add few new attractions for the kids.

Gandhi Park
This beautiful park at Port Blair has facilities like amusement rides, safe water sports and nature trail around the lake, garden, restaurant and historic remains like Japanese temple as well as a bunker. The erstwhile Dilthaman tank, which was the only source of drinking water for Port Blair and the area around, has been developed as Gandhi Park in an unbelievably short time of 13 days. It is open all days.

The Veer Savarkar Airport, an International Airport is located in the capital town of Port Blair, the gateway to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Port Blair, is connected with Chennai, Kolkata and New Delhi by air. Air India, Jet Airways, Jet lite, Go Air & Spice Jet Airlines operate regular flights.

Public transportation is available to reach the location. Also Vehicles/Cab may be hired to reach the Destination from portblair.

Best place to explore happiness 😊

It is near anthropological museum and has big pond. It is good for evening walk. I didn't see many tourists compared to localites. Maintained cleanly.

Nice place to hangout with family and specially kids... Back part of the could be more beautiful if authority takes good care as in case of front park...But overall nice experience .. Japanese Bunker built during world war a must see

This park is located within the port blair city. We spent lots of time in this park and its really very beautiful park to hang around. There is a big statue of Mahatma Gandhi within the park which you can see from the main gate.

Beautiful place for all. Enjoy paddle boating( starts after 4:00pm), different rides for child as well as for elders.

Fun place for kids ... Fun rides heli, train, boating for kids available... Nature trees ,pond and for a gud walking path is available

Beautiful park placed in portblair. Best peaceful times for evening times. Best place to walk and sit in a green environment. There have a no.of things to play for children like swing chair etc.. there is pond in that park and have a number of chairs to sit. Nice park

The park is very good and well maintained in terms of plants and trees. It has got a long path for walking and jogging purposes..it's a nice place if you wanna hangout for a while or want to come on a regular basis.
There were only rides for kids which were operational. Other rides are listed but not maintained and non-operational. Overall a good place for nature lovers.

The greenish playing area is a good natural place Many of the people come for evening walking The best place especially for children they can have more fun . There we can see the statue of Mahatma Gandhi this one is big and we can sit around it and take photos if you wish there is a lake.
