Assam Medical College one of the best and popular as well as oldest Medical College Hospital of Assam along with Guwahati Medical College. Most of the medical departments with modern facilities are available in this premier medical institution. Recently, I have visited this Institution to meet one patient. I have found this institution nice and clean as well as well maintained.

Assam Medical College and Hospital located in Dibrugarh is the first Medical College in Assam and whole northeast India. It was formerly known as Berry White Medical School founded in the year 1900. It was renamed as Assam Medical College and Hospital on 3rd November, 1947, the day which is celebrated as foundation day every year by students, staffs and alumnus of the college.
Its emergency services run in casualty, paediatric medicine, obstetrics and psychiatry.

Assam Medical College, formerly Berry White Medical School, is an educational institution in Dibrugarh, Assam, India. It was the first medical college in Northeastern India. It is the tertiary medical referral centre for upper Assam and areas in neighboring states, It is one of the premier and oldest medical institutes in the northeaast region of India. The college dates to 1900, when British philanthropist Sir John Berry White, a retired brigadier of the British army and later the civil surgeon of the Lakhimpur District  in 1870, contributed his lifetime earning of 50,000 rupees (present day valuation more than 50 million rupees) to establish Berry White Medical School.

The new look of Assam Medical College and Hospital is very beautiful, so clean as far as possible. There are so many new construction done here last few years which makes it a new look. All services are much better than other hospital and nursing home at dibrugarh. The new cancer hospital in AMC by government of assam and Tata is a very necessary service for north east India

Dr. Manoj, Dr. Shubhom, Dr. Gargi (Orthopedic) is incredible. Not only they taken great care of patient's health, but also they are lovely to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh is one of the well known medical institutes of the North East Region of India. Established as Berry White Medical School in 1900 by British Philanthropist Sir John Berry White, the institute became a full-fledged government-approved Assam Medical College in 1947. The college is affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) Dibrugarh University. The institute has been ranked 62 in the list of government institutes.it has been rated AAA+ by the Medical Council of India with a score of 273.5.

One of the key features of AMC is that it is a very easily accessible college from the airports, railway stations and bus terminus. It is on its way to becoming a super-specialty medical institution and is going under massive graduation of its infrastructure with financial assistance from different Government and Non-Government organizations. Some of the notable alumni of AMC include Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bora, a renowned Assamese writer and novelist.

Madical is very good and it has so many departments under it. one of the biggest hospital in Assam.
Even though it is govt hospital, treatment and facilities are quite good, and doctors are very professional.

The 450-acre college offers numerous facilities including indoor and outdoor sports canteens, ATMs, etc. The academic facilities include laboratories, libraries, wifi across the campus providing access to the internet facilities through PCs and laptops.

These is hotel where you can get very good food, it's near main gate.

Best place for me of course as it is my Alma mater. No matter how overloaded with patients may be, but the only place in Upper Assam where people can expect to receive the best treatment possible. Thanks to the wonderful and highly experienced doctors, my seniors, my teachers

It's a good experience

The hospital is overcrowded usually as it offers all consultations. Both Indoor and outdoor facilities are available . The imaging department offers a varied range of imaging . Staff is quite supportive. A boon to the Medicare in Assam . Good connectivity is a bonus . ATM is located inside the hospital. Washrooms although bit unhygienic .

One of the best government medical college and hospital in Assam and the best in upper Assam. Surrounded by lush great tea gardens, AMC is a dream for many of the medical aspirants. Courses offered are MBBS, MD, BDS, Bpharm, nursing. Newly super speciality block is also laid and is about to start soon. OPD is usually busy in the rush hours. Even being a govt. hospital, hygiene is decent. A great hospital to refer to when in urgent need.

Great campus with excellent health care professionals. The campus is always crowded with patients from all over the state. State of the art health care facilities are available at a very low price.

One of the oldest, yet Mordernized technologically advanced Medical College and hospital for the best of the best treatments for patients suffering from any diseases. diagonisis are all available in the medical college campus itself and the best part is: recently my mother aged about 60years has been admitted to the AMCH after an brain stroke. But, today it is exactly after 1year and 2days when my mother is cooking for all of us. That's just because of the Digonasis,Doctors and not the least the nurses,attending patients around the clock . Just excellent in every aspects. Even, charges are the cheapest in the Country (as I believe it to be). I am proud of Assam Medical College and Hospital to be in Dibrugarh, the town where I belong to from Assam.

I went to the AMC Dibrugarh with my sisters for taking the vaccine of c 19.If any person want to go for vaccination to amc dibrugarh you please find out the medicine department there is a parking place in front of this deptt.you go there and you will find a house where vaccination is given.actually in front of this house there is open place for parking.I m mentioning the medicine deptt to find out the place easily.
Pl.take your age prooff.pan card will do. The place is very clean.doctor n nurses are very cooperative and attentive.I reqest all to cooperate to wipe out c.19 and take vaccine .Thanks to all specially the doctors and nurses.
