Lagoon Gokarna

I went Dashehra time with four families and it was very nice and calm place. Beach was just 200 meters walkable distance. Lagoon cafe food was awesome, we enjoyed the food as well as the stay. Mr Anand was a nice person, anything you want ask him and he can help. Specially our kids enjoyed the food and beach stay, they don't want to comeback. I will recommend this place ,if you are planning to visit Gokarna. If you will go by car, you can get enough space for parking.

We visited this place for lunch and really enjoyed food here we ordered
fish thali and prawn fry which was fresh, tasty also the rates were reasonable. One can definitely visit this place for good seafood if you are nearby.

Clean, family friendly, very friendly staff, quiet, close to beach, nice simple rooms, good food.....what else one can ask for??

It's was great experience with lagoon cafe gokarna, room is good, staf is good, best part is food was so delicious , they also served North india food. I love this place

So I went with 15 friends of mine, and the whole group had a great time staying at Nityanand's stay and good food at The Lagoon Cafe, (both located at the same location). As much as we enjoyed Nityanand's welcome at the stay, we loved Yuvraj's company, who happens to be the caretaker of the cafe and the stay. I'd surely recommend it to anyone who asks me. They could work with some extra pedestal fans in the summer days though. No other complaints as such. We had a great time!

When you talk to the owner and she is no nice to bring all fishes and let you choose one to be cooked that too in just 400 Rs, whole fish! She is so nice, very patient and prepares homely cooked food and also high on taste. When you visit their kitchen, it resembles to your own home kitchen. The quantity of the dishes so good, to give you an idea, One fish sufficed for 8 people. Their Fried chicken, Prawns and even Veg Manchuria was so good. Please at least give a visit when you are in Gokarna.

it was really great staying here. Anand Shetty and his family are so hospitable. Food was the highlight. Rooms are very cozy. Ideal for a young family of 4. Very close to the beach, we spent as much time as possible at the beach lazing around and having good food at Anand's cafe.

Awesome place. So calm and peaceful. Cafe and beach is few minutes walk. Beach cafe is beautiful.

The owner uncle is truly helping and kind. If you want anything, he will buy and bring it for you. Good place for family. Wifi available in the tower houses and view upto is really good.

Car parking available. The only problem i saw while entering to the hotel is, the road is bit narrow but i was able to bring my car and reach the hotel. I really love the uncle's helping nature and guiding us to the right direction.

Decent place, very quiet, I wish they start the restaurant in the cottage itself.the beach is really close and there you can also find a restaurant. If u keep going left by walk on the beach shore u can reach Mahabaleshwar temple too. It's about 3 kms walk from the cottage. Hot water they'll provide for bath. Rooms are clean and tidy.

Very happy to be staying in this peaceful and green part of Gokarna.

Beach is clean and is just 50 meters away from the place.

Awesome place. Go there for delicious sea food & Anand uncle . He will go to extra mile to make sure you enjoy fully. His family is very welcoming. Gokarna is all about peace & hospitality. We got a cottage for a week at lagoon gokarna. Cottage has all the basic things like cot, table, 2 chairs , attached washroom , wifi connection and ceiling fan . Rooms are non AC as oct-march, weather is good. The place has good parking place. very close to beach,5 mins walk.

This is an amazing place run by a very friendly and helpful family of Anand Uncle. The rooms are clean and well kept. The food is delicious. The hospitality is good as it gets. The beach is a short walk from the property. And you can always have a good chat with Anand Uncle or his family about the local history.

We visited this place for workcation. wifi enabled place and Very peaceful to stay. Nice clean and spacious room. Has a swing in front of every room😍
Food cannot be commented very delicious and nominal price. Not many options in breakfast but whatever served is very tasty.
Friendly owner and family makes you feel this place no less than home😇

Awesome experience..
1. Hospitality was great. Anand ji, his family & staff were really helpful for our requests.
We reached there at 4 in the morning due to poor bus coordination and yet he quickly managed a room for us.
2. Food was tasty. Though the menu card is influenced by European dishes/items, as considering they have lots of foreigners around, but you can just ask Anand ji to suggest something local; he's the chef-of-the-kitchen!
I'd like to mention few must-try items:
- Green Thai Curry
- Red Curry (both are mixed vegetables with typical sauce)
- Eggplant/Baingan Masala (Bravo 👌🏼)
- Cream of Baingan
- Ghee roasted Prawns (it is a locally influenced dish, don't miss!)
- Gadbad Icecream
3. WiFi was available.
Though, you won't get it inside the rooms most probably, but you can go and sit around the cafe and use it.
Request him to keep it on, if you want to use post 10PM.
4. Middle beach is like hardly at 5 mins-walkable distance from the cafe backyard; a very peaceful beach.
5. Rooms were stick-to-the-basics type.
Mosquito net was really helpful. Hammock swing was cool.
The attached bathroom-plus-toilet (commode) was good with hygiene and full-time water supply. Request them for the hot water, no geyser.
No issues with the room.
6. There were some dead-weights, carrom for exercise/fun.
7. Anand ji can also help you with rented bikes/bicycles.
8. We were using Jio, VI-Vodafone, Airtel sim cards and the network was decent outside the rooms.

Summary:
A very nice and affordable place to stay, to eat and to enjoy.
You can easily explore Gokarna and places around by staying here, as it is well connected to the mainland.
The beach accessibility makes it even better.
Make sure you don't plan during monsoon.
I would love to visit again.

The host Anand is super friendly and very accomodating. We had a peaceful stay at the guesthouse. It is just 3 mins away from the beach with excellent food being cooked by Anand and family. If you wish to unwind at someplace quite and peaceful, this is the place.

One of the best places to get healthy and homely cooked food at a very reasonable rate.
The prawns curry and prawns rava fry are the must have dishes here. Everything is cooked in less oil and is cooked fresh at the time itself. This takes around 15mins for the service but that's surely worth the wait.

We loved the peace and serenity of the place. The food was exceptional! Best North Indian food we had in gokarna. We would come again!!

Visited on 19th April, during the onset of 2nd wave of corona. Was searching for a nice place to have lunch (as the options were limited), got to know about this place from my cousins. Contacted Anand sir and he was kind enough to accommodate us. Amazing place, great great food without doubt, especially prawns was fresh and juicy. Must try !. Other seafood items and main course were mind blowing as well. Nominal pricing, good hospitality, kindness unlimited. Must visit place in Gokarna. Will definitely return in future , maybe will book a cottage there itself to get the complete overall experience.

Had memorable stay of 3 days at Lagoon.

Shetty Family: Very loving, helping and hard working family of Nityanand uncle, aunty, Nikita and Bhagya. Special thanks to Bhagya, sweet girl, ready to help at a call.

Food: We tried Rava fried snapper, prawns, crab curry, prawns ghee roast in Non veg,
And paneer chilli, kaju chana masala, baigan masala, paneer kofta in kaju sauce. All items were delicious. Deserves 5 stars for food.

Rooms: decent non ac rooms at affordable price with basic amenities, optimum space, clean bathroom, mosquito net. Provided hot water twice in a day. Ample parking space. Dinner at roof top of restaurant was pleasant experience.

Timepass: They have carrom, playing cards. More over they have cat, dogs, chicken to play around for your child.

Beach: at hardly 300mtrs. Clean and less crowded but not very safe to go deep inside.

In all worth visiting this place to get relaxed in daily hustle of life. Would like to visit again in future.
