I had an extended stay here, a couple of years ago, and as a solo traveller my experience was wonderful. Rooms are neat and clean. Views are excellent. Food is homemade, and the tea is lovely. Arpit Agarwal is a dedicated host. He always ensured that I was comfortable and even guided me walks to some of the most beautiful spots around Chitkul. He was knowledgeable about the place, as well as on trekking and acclimatising to the high altitude environment. Would definitely recommend to everyone, especially solo women travellers.

The place is nestled in the quaint village of Chitkul and is just a 7-8 minute walk away from the bus stop. The view from each and every balcony, window, door is breathtaking in every season. The bunk beds were cozy, comfortable. The food they served was great!! The highlight would be their super-friendly dogs - Pepper, her son Grumpy, his 5 little brothers and sisters, and Laila.
What's more is that the Baspa river bank, the sunset view point are all nearby. The hosts Poorva and Arpit were warm, welcoming and guided us really well about where and when to go.
Overall, created unforgettable memories there.

LAP stays stands out being one of the most friendly, scenic and enjoyable home stays in the lap of the Chitkul Valley. Our first visit was welcomed by a starry night sky,a fluffy dog and the host who cared enough to guide us through the dark stoney path with a torch light.

The next morning , we were searching for some local sights and the host listed them one by one, after serving hot coffee on the centre table in the front courtyard. We enjoyed a heart warming conversation with her ; got to know how this small venture started and some new trekking paths were also revealed to us, which were exclusively discovered and even named by the owners.

To be honest, Chitkul remained embedded in our heart for this homestay. Definitely a visit , if someone wants to find an 'abode', rather than the usual crashing places in the trips.

It's a wonderful place to stay. Spl mention to the food that they have served. Their ginger lemon tea is a must have. We were 5 people who stayed here for a night. And it's all worth it. If you are planning to stay here, plan for atleast 2 nights. The village is beautiful and the stay enhances the experience. Definitely recommended.

When we talk about Rooms they are very clean and arranged, decorated allover well maintaine , and food service is outstanding at that place because here at this altitude they provide lots of dishes and owner is available for you 24*7 Hr.
And the behaviour of owner is outstanding ""TRUST ME YOU NEVER DISAPPOINT FROM THIS HOME STAY"" stays and I have a good bond with owner they treat me as a brother...
.

In short you got a lots of dishes at that altitude give thanks to owner how they manage all things. My expectations is just i eat a boil vegetables and fruit salad etc. Because i spend more time at that altitude but never i got more dishes like here....

If you choose to stay in Chitkul, then this is one of the best places. Our initial impression was not that great, but, attended to all our requests and and ensured our comfort. It's right in the midst of nature with amazing 360 degree view, good food and adequate facilities. Overall cleanliness could have better better, and it's not in luxury segment so you need to keep your expectations in check!

One of the best stays I have had in my life! The location and the hosts of this place, are everything. One could sit and gaze for hours.

The hosts Arpit and Poorva are amazing people - warm, welcoming, attentive, helpful, friendly but generally quiet people, which is just my type. Service is very good. The boys on the premises are lovely and efficient. The dogs are very clearly the highlight. The views are unparalleled and it literally is as "in the lap of nature" as it can get.
The entire team goes out of its way to make you feel at home.

Thankfully for me, the time I was visiting was a quiet week, with other like-minded guests, so it was a happy, peaceful, comfortable stay. The rooms do tend to get very cold in the lack of any sunlight reaching them, or sufficient voltage to run a heater. But the mountains make you find hacks around most inconveniences. And the hosts here have some tips handy as well, if they like you enough!😆

The glass room upstairs is all kinds of cool and quirky, not only because it's a warm spot, but also because it's naturally conducive to some music and reading and great conversation. The food is average, but it's hot and fresh and that's pretty much sustenancr at that altitude and generally difficult conditions. I took a private room, so the bathroom was clean and I know this is a make-or-break factor for some of us. Overall, just a perfect little stay that I hold close and miss dearly.

It's been a month since I've returned and I really really long to be back in the Wanderer's Nest, every other hour in a day!

If you're traveling in a group or solo, you should stay only here. Why? Firstly the views, secondly the warmth of Arpit and Poorva who are just best hosts you would need. The property is well maintained, neat and clean. The food served is hot and tasty served fresh from their kitchen. You would get to cuddle Grumpy too. Chitkul is not only about the akhri dhaba, it's so much more than that. To properly explore Chitkul, you should contact Arpit and stay here only.

It's easily one of the best that can be found in Chitkul. A warm, cozy property with comfortable rooms having mind-blowing views of the mountains. The hosts were very welcoming and polite, and gave us great suggestions about the things to do in and around. Would highly recommend this place to anyone planning to stay in Chitkul.

I'd breakfast in this very warm and friendly guesthouse, sitting in the sunny courtyard. The poha I ordered was the best I've ever had, rich in vegetables and nuts. Run by Purva from Mumbai and Arpit from Jaipur, this place begins to feel like home after a while. A friendly dog, though chained up, enlivens the scene. It's a place you may want to stay in for a long time or visit with a book and read over a leisurely meal. Awesome near 360° views of snow-covered mountains come free. The property's location, on a quiet hillside above the village proper, means you're spared the worst of the peak tourist season when loud vehicles clog the tiny tourist area and the dhabas there are filled with equally loud tourists and day-trippers.

The owners behaviour was very good , he himself give us a tour to all the beautiful scenery located nearby to that place. The food facility was also pretty good at an affordable price. The intersting thing is that the snacks item was at the same price. The scenery was outstanding, I had never seen such view from naked eye . So overall it was a very good experience for me. I highly recommend to everyone to please visit this place atleast once if you love to travel.

Purva and Arpit are super hosts! They made sure all our requirements were taken care of and were very welcoming. The place is brilliant… they have got almost everything practically possible to keep the guests entertained…
The rooms were nice and cozy the bathroom was nice but the highlight was the balcony which overlooked the majestic mountains…
To reach the property you have to walk for 4-5 minutes and sadly not accessible by car (it’s on the mountains so it’s justified)… but the hosts helped with our luggage and it wasn’t a problem

This is a beautiful property in the lap of himalayas. Rooms have a balcony which gives access to breathtaking view of Rangrik Rang ranges.
This property is pet friendly and the host also have a photo genic Pet Grumpy .
There is a common area Sheesh Mahal, equipped with various indoor games, Guitar and books, where you can have quality time.
When visiting Chitkul, you can stay here and i must say you won't regret.

Absolutely loved my stay at Wanderer's Nest.

Great hospitality. Neat property, with good hygiene. Stationed right in the middle of the village, above the bus stand. Great base to explore Chitkul end to end. Homely food, don't expect non veg.

The vibe of the place is so good that I'm planning another visit already, probably in the winter this time.
