Went there in good place and smiled and saw all the pictures, everything is correct, there was also a Gurudwara there. There was a fair in front of us. We bought a lot of goods in the fair.

A nice place in Kathua for shopping. Moderate rates are there ,.lots of shops of clothes , groceries , pharmacy , cosmetics etc etc. Branded as well as local shops are there . the street wood is awesome . Every type of thing is available like bakery , street food , medicines , clothes , cosmetics , tailoring material etc etc. A very crowded place mostly at daytime and evening but nice market to try. My relatives live in Kathua that's why I visited here many time and overall experience is always good.

You have to Move around a bit but you will get whatever you need.

This market is one of the oldest market ( maybe more than 100 years) and shopkeeper maintain their quality, cost and customers. Most of market sell low price, reasonable quality products but some maintain High quality products too.

It's a great indicator of social & economical status of natives of kathua & near by villagers.

Loved it,it's movie like experience of classical 90's like markets, with famous asha purni Mata mandir in the middle of the market and every small lane gets u out of market on main road of the city..come and experience my favourite famous mkoda shah' chole bhature with lassi in breakfast, kodda dhaba's mutton rice in lunch and mashu's chicken in dinner ..nd laccha kulfi at Mukherjee chowk as dessert...u can never forget the taste....I💓my city

It has always been a pleasure to visit the market where I have done all my childhood shopping from amd its quite a decent place to buy ladies suits and readymade clothes although u won't get much branded stuff. and for other household items from a small toy to big appliances u will get everything available.

Kathua Main Market is also called as the Gurudwara Market. You can buy all sorts of stuff here from retail to wholesale. It is a mixture of various shops - vegetables, fruits, books, clothing, footwear, spices, dry fruits, fast food, sports equipment, jewelry, cosmetics, tailor services, kitchenwares, plastics, hybrid seeds, utensils, crockery, disposable items (used in parties such as plates, glasses etc.), agricultural impliments, seeds, stationery, gift items etc. The market is spread over quite a large area and is crowdy the most in the evenings. The market place also has a Cave Temple which is built on an old banyan tree and is definitely a must-visit especially if you're going to visit first time. This temple is so well designed like a cave, worth visit.There is another temple located in the midst of this market known as Mata Annapurni Temple. Parking for vechiles is also available outside the market place. Near by landmarks are J&K Bank, Main branch, Kathua and SBI ADB Bank. Near-by place known as U-market is also a center of attraction for fashionable items from clothing to footwears.
