Had a good experience overall. Though only saw 2 bears far away, we were able to see other interesting wild life and the drive 2 and fro was nice wirh a good breeze keeping us cool. The drive was a bit long, but that is unavoidable considering the unpaved road and the distance to it.

A fun wee tour of Daroji Sanctuary. Certainly for much more than only the sloth bears. We saw many wild birds like eagles and peacocks as well as some weaver nests and a mongoose.
Definitely worth the money, just remember to bring binoculars! The below video was filmed with a cellphone camera through the binocular lens

Rented the Safari vehicle and the guard spotted a variety of birds for us. And we reached a guard / watch tower from where we did spot sloth bears resting under a tree and rock.

Safari is open from 2pm to 6pm, and cost will be 300 per person the vehicle has a capacity of 7. We also can rent the vehicle as a whole too shelling out the total cost - 2000.

Guard also gave a detailed view on the history of the sanctuary, behaviour of the bears.

This is for people with patience, if you expect animals to show up, your place is Zoo :)

This is open 2pm till 6 pm only. We went in Dec 2020. You enter the gate in a vehicle and pay the fee, walking not allowed. Then you drive to the Watch Tower parking lot about 2-3 km away. Then there is a walking path with some stairs to the tower, the stairs are well made with hand rails, anyone can climb them. There are two levels that look out into the Park. Far down, you can see they put out bananas onto rocks and 3 bears come out to eat, about 3pm. These are rescued dancing bears, the other 100+ bears in the Park will not come out because wild bears don't like bananas. They also pour honey onto rocks and birds, peacocks and even bears come to lick it. You need binoculars or good Zoom lens on your camera to see the bears clearly.

Only way to reach this place is by permitted forest safari jeeps. We went by Jungle lodges safari in the evening. You have to climb few steps to reach top of the view point .You.have to remain silent to have any sightings od wild animals. We were lucky to see a bear family from far and a leopard appeared for a short moment and disappeared.

Very well maintained sanctuary. We saw a group of bears near the water hole. They spent hours there. Visit around 5 PM. Take the safari if you don't want to spend 500 per car.

There are two ways to explore Daroji - by your own vehicle or by a Jumgle safari which can be booked from the zoo nearby. If you go by your own vehicle, you can only go up to the viewpoint from where you will get 360 degree view of the surrounding forest. The safari will take you to some other forest trails and paths.

We took our own car to the viewpoint and even though it was raining, we managed to spot 4 bears in the evening. Having a good binocular is recommended, without it you won’t be able to see any details even if you spot bears.

Love that they used the traditional way of architecture and materials to build the walk way and steps. Giant slabs of granite balanced on each other. Wish the tower itself was better though. But still a great place to spot bears from and enjoy the sunset over the Daroji landscape

This is the one and only sanctuary in India for sloth bear. A must visit 👍. The sanctuary is maintained excellently, apart from sloth bear one can also find star turtles, foxes, leopard and a lot of birds.

Visited at 5pm...Got to see 2 sloth bears which was very fascinating. Wildlife workers helpful for finding bears. Powerful binoculars needed. They provide regular one' which is also fine. This place is opens for 2 to 6pm. Go early for finding more bears.

My theory is they have GPS chips oon those bears. 😀😀Just a theory though the 😀

Amazing place for spotting bears. 2pm is the bear feeding time don't miss it. Sunset is also beautiful from the tower. It is 4 kms inside from the sanctuary gate. Carry your binoculars for classic views. Peacocks and other animals can be easily spotted on the way.
