Osm and historic Place to visit one of my best experienced place I can say we visit every year once

Shirve gudda is one of best experience of life, mountain peaks covered with medicinal trees some wild animals. There is a shiva temple on the peak of the 1st mountain and a nandi at the top most peak of 2 nd mountain. I recommend you to visit this place once in life.

Amazing place to trek during monsoon( not recommended during on a rainy day) and winter season. A moderately easy trek. The peak provides you panoramic view of most of the Karwar taluk from the Kadra Reservoir, Trail of Kali River to the Arabian sea. On one of the ends you have a nice sit out to gaze at the horizons of the Arabian sea.

Important Note: This is a very holy and a some what occult place. So, restrict you and your friends from bringing alcohol or non vegetarian food here. Remove your footwear while you climb to the top most rock peak, which has the flag post as it's a holy shrine. As per some folklore this place is only supposed to be visited during the annual temple festival but due the modernization it has become a trekking spot. Hence, due respect has to be given to it. It's also said that you are not supposed to flick any thing from that place, not even a rock, as it brings bad omen to you.

Trekking to Shirve Gudda is an enthralling experience. I had gone early morning & it was strong and cool breeze at the summit. At Exactly half way of the route Shri Siddarama basaveshwara temple is a tiled building accommodates trekkers for rest & refreshment with a running water tap taken from nearby stream. (Request to maintain sanctity & cleanliness expected at temple premises) Jungle trail exists amidst thick jungle, with freestanding tall trees, giant creepers.

What a beautiful peak to trek.

Highest peak in Karwar taluk. Local tribes, people believe siddarameshwar Sharona from 12th century stayed here . Jatra program celebrated here every year after Sankranti festival. One of the best trekking route .

The best place for trekking it takes little time to reach peak but believe everything is worth it if you want fear of animals as well as trekking then go on any other day than makara sankranti because on jan 14th there is festival for sidddarameshwara God so you'll see bit crowd there but other days than 14th jan you can enjoy alone on the trek and peak is so peacefull,...... So once in a lifetime visit this place
