Malabar Ocean Front Resort and Spa, Bekal

Location ! Location ! Location ! Beautiful property located right on the beach. We were in Arabian Villa Joy which probably is best villa on the property location wise. The living room patio opens right on the beach with beautiful views of the sunset and relaxing ocean waves. The bedroom also has the same views but unfortunately they had the bedroom window blocked permanently with tarp - not sure why one would spoil such a beautiful view. The restaurant on the property is very nice and serves good food with nice spread. All the staff is very nice and friendly and courteous. I didnt care for the spa at the property. It can be better in terms of amenities, service and cleanliness. Overall amazing stay and I highly recommend this place.

A very good property. Nicely maintained, service is fairly fast, and has a good spa. The location is awesome, with private beach access, and a nicely maintained restaurant for buffet and shack for evening high tea. Highly recommended for families with small kids, as it has a well maintained play area. Very calm and beautiful atmosphere. The front desk is helpful along with the director of the property as they arrange various attractive tours at a very reasonable price. Overall highly recommended, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed there for 2 night. Room was infront of sea with swimming inside the room. Morning breakfast was delicious with lot of varieties. Evening tea and snacks were also served. Staffs were courteous. Property is right on the beach. Sanitation and cleanliness of the beach is maintained. Overall worth for the money spend.

Awesome place with great beach view cottages. Best for family retreat or any other gathering; we saw a college reunion happening while we were there. Kids would love the place as it has the beach, swimming pool and play area. Food and service was also good. Slightly on the expensive side, but that must be because we were there during the Christmas - New Year holiday period. Highly recommend.

Great experience if you want to unwind from your hectic work and chaos of big cities. We stayed there for a week with our family and friends. We need to book our rooms much earlier so that we will get rooms with the good view of sea. There will be lot of events like marriage, party's happening side by side but that doesn't hinder our experience. This resort has a private sea area so they have maintained it will and you will get good glimpse of sunset. Food is fine, you can expect typical Kerala cuisines with variety of fishes.

They have swings, hammocks and ocean right infront, although swimming is not allowed due to high tides. It seems like a private island once you are in the resort. They have good food, although limited options. Also they need to improve veg options to some extent. They are understaffed in the restaurant which delays the service. However their staffs especially at the reception are very cordial, well mannered and helpful. Worth to stay and for vacation.

Excellent location. Our room was ocean view and on beach literally walk to beach. Food was great. Staff very courteous and helpful. We will come here again we were leaving early morning but they had boxed breakfast for us

We chose the property over the other properties reading the earlier reviews. The location is fantastic right at the beach, the property needs a lot of maintenance in the old wing as it's quite old. On the first day of the stay we had issues with the room, the tub bath , the food but upon raising the complaint the manager (mr Padma Kumar) was promptly there to assist and sort all our problems in one go, he upgraded us to the family pool villa, got the chef to attend to our food requirements (vegetarian) and the next 2 days were spent well. Vegetarian guests please speak to the chef he can really make good veg food upon request. The lady staff at the restaurant needs a special mention here since we saw her working morning 8:00am - 11:00pm non stop and always smiling and attending to all guests without any complaints.

We went as a group of 5 and we spent whole day playing football, volleyball and taking long peaceful walks by the beach. It seems like a private island once you are in the resort. They have good food, although limited options. They are understaffed in the restaurant which delays the service. It is located far from the town, so there are not many restaurants nearby and you are left with the in-house one, however it is good 🙂

We travelled to this place with our 3 year old daughter and enjoyed the stay at the resort. Best part of the experience was the vicinity to the nicely maintained and clean beach. Also the swimming pool is well maintained and cleaner . The staff is generous and friendly. Only aspect we did not like is the kids play area which is not maintained well and needs to be fixed. Apart from that we liked the service and hospitality

We loved everything about this resort. There was immense amount of greenery in the resort. The location was also very easy to find with GPS. It was sea facing and it took less than a minute to reach there. For many other rooms it was even easier because they were able to see the sea from their rooms. The food was very tasty and the staff members ensured that they check our preferences including our health conditions if they have to customize any dish. We were expecting spicy food because but glad that it was very mildly spicy and none of the dishes was too sweet. The staff was very courteous throughout our stay of three days and took care of every single thing. There was a private security guard at the beach. All in all, this is the epitome of thoughtful design, hospitality, courteousness and luxury.

Peaceful, quiet and cleanest beach I have seen in India. You almost get to experience a private 🏖 beach and trust me this place is awesome and hidden 💎 gem.

This hotel is the best hotel I have ever been in. The location, the food and the staff were all amazing. The room was spotless, large with a balcony overlooking the pool

Ms Megha made sure to provide all the information during the booking. She also made sure to show around the resort after our arrival. All the staff were friendly. The resort is clean and well maintained. They have a private beach with swings and hammocks. The rooms are good and the food was also great. They have a day trip offer of 2k plus tax for adults which includes welcome drink, lunch and evening tea from 10 am to 6pm. They have a area for weddings and other events. People also come for wedding photo shoots. They have different package for it. Pool was great but they was no shower room near the pool to change.

Beautiful resort located at Beach side .. peaceful beach non crowded..Services & staff is very good / co operative .... The Chef & Restaurant Manager is very co operative .. specially they have provided food as per our requirement & test .. They have provided Jain food as per our need...

We stayed two nights. Lovely location and view. Hotel price high but poor service. Quality of food bad and served cold food for dinner on both days. No apologies from the staffs. No kindness or Co operation from the staffs except one receptionist boy. I won't go back
