This place is bucket list !
We spend 4 nights in Makalele Domes and it was an outstanding experience.

The location on the hilltop overlooking the sea the the Gili island was breathtaking, especially during sunset.

The architecture is one of its own. If you have the chance to by in Bali / Lombok or the Gilis, I strongly recommend to stay there !

Amazing Amazon venue. The rooms are unreal. Really feels like a fairytale. Beautiful views. Perfect to wake up to! Definitely add this to your bucket list

We loved our stay here, amazing sunsets, friendly staff and comfy rooms. Was actually coming off a stressful period in work but once I got here I became really calm and relaxed ad it was so nice to get that feeling agin. The staff organised scooters for us so we could go off and explore, quite a beautiful are. Loved the fresh fruit platter in the morning too!

The sea view is amazing. The deep pools are great fun for the family.All of the rooms are facing the ocean and have a private pool.
Very good service and staff were very friendly .
I had an amazing massage on the deck pool Lounge at sunset .We will come back again for sure .Highly recommended .

Makalele Dome Villas, Lombok Island, Indonesia

Nestled in the foothills of Mentigi Bay, North Lombok, Indonesia, you will find these magical Dome Villas🩵 The moment you enter these fabulous white stone grounds with its unique architecture, you’ll be spoiled with beautiful panoramic views of Gunung Agung Volcano in Bali and the 3 famous Gili Islands.

Makalele Dome Villas has one of the most spectacular and peaceful settings in the world. Perched atop a peninsula cliff the outdoor swimming pool and terrace, and each bed, overlooks a sea of azure blues with volcano and neighboring island views.

Inside each dome I am fascinated by the surreal art of their custom king size tear drop beds and water fall showers. Authentic bathroom walls built with the natural stone of that mountain. My children loved their day beds scattered in the different levels of lofts… nooks in every corner facing the awesome ocean front and sunset views.

A short 5 minute walk down the hill reveals a quiet sandy beach lined with coconut trees. It’s location is fantastic! You are 10min boat from Gili Islands, 7min drive from Bangsal Harbour, 1.5hrs drive from Lombok International Airport, and just 30min flight from Bali✈

The property simply floats above an ocean of green palms… The staff here are super friendly. Always smiling, always happy. The food and drinks choice is great - continental, Asian and lots of vegetarian. We booked our snorkeling, swimming with the turtles, island hopping, pirate boat jumping experiences with them directly. They are so professional and organized… took care of everything … snorkels, fins, best spots to see/experience. They made my kids adventure trip one to remember for our lifetime. Thank you Makalele Domes, we will be back🥰

The best place to stay in the north of Lombok!

With beautiful and unique rooms, Makalele has the best view for the Gili Islands and the perfect place to watch the sunset!

Food is great, and from here we went to explore the waterfalls with a scooter.

Absolutely stunning place! My husband and 2 daughters loved everything about our stay at Makalele Domes. The panoramic view on the hillside overlooking the ocean and across to Bali and Mount Agung and the Gilis was the best - world class! The domes were so amazingly designed and were very comfortable and peaceful. We also really loved the gorgeous infinity pool. Trev, Dusty and Kyle were the most fantastic hosts

The most beautiful place I have ever stayed! Not only is this place so unique and beautifully designed, but the staff are so lovely, in particular Isla! He made us feel so welcome and gave a refreshing iced tea upon arrival! The pool is gorgeous and the best place to watch the sunset over the sea! The food is also amazing, I loved the breakfast granola bowl! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Great place to stay! The view of the sunset just perfect, great architecture and the staff is very friendly. Good location, it's near Bangsal Port if you want to travel to Gili Trawangan. Overall such a relaxing experience staying here

Looking to truly get away on vacation rather than be surrounded by tourists? Oh, and stay some place that’s truly unique on a nearly untouched island? Then this is the place for you.

Not only were the domes absolutely stunning including an awe-inspiring waterfall shower, but the views are out of this world. You will see shooting stars, the volcano across the way, and palm trees for days.

The staff is also very accommodating and helped us with all of our needs. We only stayed for a couple of nights - giving us one day to truly explore. Our host helped us book the BEST snorkeling trip where we got to swim with sea turtles and all different kinds of fish.

We plan to go back one day very soon - don’t miss out on such a unique opportunity staying here!

No words for this magical place! We spent four unforgettable days with a group of friends at Makalele Domes and it's been perfect! The domes are truly unique! So many things to point out that I don't know where to start...the giant round bed? The shower which reminds you on a beautiful waterfall? The stunning view from your bed or your private balcony? The most beautiful Infinity Pool with breathtaking sunsets EVERY night? I can't wait to be back in this paradise and also connect again with the owners, who made our stay so unforgettable! Thanks a lot to the whole team! You guys are simply amazing and I can't stop looking at all the wonderful pictures of our weekend on Lombok!

Cutest place I ever been. Amazing staff and incredible view!!

Breathtaking views perfectly aligned for a magical sunset. Direct view of Mt Agung on Bali. Really unique design that spacious and comfortable. You don’t even have to get out of bed to see the ocean. The pool is awesome, super deep and fun to splash around during the hot days. The beach is in walking distance if you feel the need to get away. The staff is accommodating and very eager to make your stay enjoyable. You’re not surrounded by much so slow down and enjoy the time to disconnect in paradise.

We had an amazing two nights in this beautiful villa the Infiniti pool is insane and perfect for sunset! The shower is so cool and is an indoor waterfall such a unique stay and definitely recommend staying there. The staff are also amazing and food is delicious!

This place is absolutely unreal. The sunset overlooking Mt Agung and Bali , as well as a view of the 3 Gili Island left for one of my best views of Indonesia I’ve seen after living here for a year. Wonderful and accommodating staff and not to mention some of the coolest architecture I’ve seen on a villa. Highly recommend and to top it all off, their food is delicious. I recommend the local catch of the day!

This hotel is amazing! The domes are so beautifully designed and the view is unbeatable! We also loved spending time at the pool and the food was delicious. The staff is super friendly and willing to help with anything you need. 100% would recommend.

These domes are absolutely stunning! My boyfriend and I have had the best experience between the gorgeous architecture, views, and incredibly nice staff. Needless to say, the food is also so yummy. I will definitely be back at the villa when I come back to Lombok in the future.

Without a doubt the most beautiful place to stay in Lombok! Me and my boyfriend spent 2 nights at Makalele and there was not a single thing we could complain about. It’s such a unique and special place overlooking the palms and the ocean. The staff was the most welcoming, and was always making sure we had everything we needed.
Our highlights:

- Breakfasts were delicious!
- The view from the dome leaves you speechles! The nature surrounding this place is unreal.
- The location is in the very secluded & peaceful area.
- Interior design is one of a kind, every piece of this place is magical! 
I cannot recommend Makalele enough. We absolutely loved staying in this little dome!

We had a wonderful time here. The view is breathtaking. The food was delicious. We went on a short boat trip to the bay to do a bit of snorkeling and ate fresh fish with dishes organized by the staff. This is our second time around and I brought family. It was nothing short of an amazing experience.
