Menara Pandang Banjarmasin

This is a Riverside promenade along the Martapura River that has become the most lively public open space in the city, especially during weekend. You can find hundreds of street stalls selling anything you need. I can find traditional food and cakes easily here (my favourite is the lady who sells klepon and lupis). And of course, the semi floating market is the must-visit site you have to see in this area. Located on floating dock, the market runs by 'acil-acil' or aunties that offer local fresh fruits harvested from the farms upstream. Adjacent to the fruits section you can find popular local food such as Soto Banjar and sate.

Along this promenade there is the "Menara Pandang" or observatory tower where you can climb up to view the surrounding from above. Two wooden buildings stand next to the Menara: Rumah Coklat (Brown house) of the library and police-tourism joint office, and Rumah Anno where you can find souvenir shop and café. If you want to explore the city centre from the river, you can get in to the kelothok or traditional boat for susur sungai or river cruise, either for regular or customized route.

Good place and one of the icon of Banjarmasin and have a lot of good facility to keep maintance your safety against corona just like handwash that spread in Menara Pandang's Area , etc. Just go to see it guys. It's have a good scenery too 👍

This place is interesting, there are local boats to bring you sight seeing through the river with boat. You can seat at top boat or inside boat.
In the morning saturday or Sunday there will be mini floating market, and you can buy such local food, and traditioanal cake or something.

This place is very beautiful. In the midle of Banjarmasin. When you go up to the top of this tower you will see how beautiful Banjarmasin.

A good concept combining Banjarmasin unique architecture building, local food and traditional market within one big place. You can find local delicacies and tourist information. Fresh vegetables and fruits also sold here at cheap price and you can bargain for more lower price.
Please remember in mind that there are enough parking lot both for motorbikes and cars but you really to be careful before left your vehicles. For the motorbikes, please do not lock it. Don't worry, your bike is safe. It just the parking attendants need to organise the vehicles parked there.

You will also find it really amused you if you try to eat snacks at the side of Martapura river. You can see boats placed at the side of the decks where also people walks upon it.

The situation gradually becomes more and more comfortable for everyone after pandemic status has been declared as endemic, people start to roam around again, many food sellers start to sell again. Really glad the economy is striving

Good place to enjoy the sunset at Banjarmasin with next to river of Martapura.

Best way to enjoy your visit at Banjarmasin. You could walk around the Martapura River, Enjoying the street food, and take klotok boat ride to kampung hijau or pulau kembang with only IDR 10K or 35K

We can see around Menara Pandang and the Martapura river from above..

For people with fear of heights, going upstairs maybe a little daunting because its 3 levels wall is made of glass..

due to COVid-19 pandemic, Menara Pandang is temporary closed for visitors.. but, before the pandemic, its one of the MUST visited destinations in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.. go to the highest floor, and enjoy A Thousand Rivers City with a different view...

A communal place for Banjarmasin people. Usually, lots of people use this place for meeting up. South Borneo Runners (SBR) part of IndoRunners (IR) often gathering here before doing their weekly running schedule.
