Enggano Island

Enggano Island is located 11 to 12 hours ship ride from the mainland, Bengkulu. To reach this place, you can either by ships or small plane. The ships fare are pretty cheap for the long ride. It costs 35 to 100 thousand rupiah, depending on the kind of the ship.

People on this island are really friendly and very welcome to visitors.

There are not many hotels or hostels to stay but the people are more than welcome to give you place to stay.

This island is really beautiful. There are many places that are ready to be explored, from beaches to caves. If you are thinking of visiting this island, transportation will be a concern because there are no public transportations available unless you take your own vehicles from the mainland or renting one on the island. Prepare snacks, mosquitoes spray and sunblock.

The accomodations are limited, no public transport but motorcycle rental is easy to find. One of the best place for sport fishing and scuba diving/snorkeling in Sumatera island (bring your own gear).

Enggano Island is one of Indonesia's outermost islands in the Indian Ocean. Administratively, Enggano Island is a sub-district which is part of the government area of ​​North Bengkulu Regency. To go to this island, can be done by using a motor boat or airplane. From Pulau Baai Harbor it will take 12 hours to travel. The island, which covers an area of ​​400.6 km2, has many tourist options, including Lake Bak Blau Tour in Meok, Perforated Stone Tour at Koomang Beach in Banjarsari, Pulau Dua Tour in Kahyapu, Merbau Island in Kahyapu, Podipo Pond, rock climbing at Cliff Pakiu, Bak Blau Lake, Seagrass Fields at Kaana Waters and Kahyapu Harbour, Telapak Kaki Batu Layar Beach, Mount Nanu'a Buru Park, Klowe Bay Nature Reserve Forest, caving in Goa Karst, Ujung Batu Beach, and surfing.

Loved it! Super friendly people. Thieves-proofed island. People actually leave their vehicles with keys attached outside their houses at nights. Amazing place to visit and stay.

Orang Indonesia wajib kesini👍 Sedikit polusi, asri, sejuk, ditempuh dengan perjalanan kapal perintis 12 jam. Listrik tersedia 12 jam per hari dibagi dua sesi. Jaringan seluler cukup susah, ya Telkomsel sih gampang sesuai visi misinya ahaha. Pantai masih bagus semua, apalagi bawah lautnya. Berharap bisa kesini lagi dan lagi.

Panorama alamnya indah, masyarakatnya ramah.
Ikan lautnya melimpah,aksesnya sekarang sudah ada pesawat hanya 45 menit dari kota Bengkulu.
