We arrived spontaneously without notice as we were on the road from Medan to Aceh via Takengon and were a bit too tired to continue. We’ve been very much welcomed. We stayed just for the night but was great. Joseph is very nice guy. He showed us the room with nice natural open air shower..wish i had one at home he put fresh lining and towels and mozzy net. Great night sleep with lots of natural sound. Next time id like to come back for longer stay to enjoy more. Recommend!

Charming guest house in Ketambe, the owner is nice, the garden is beautiful, the room comfortable, the food delicious! Perfect 😊 It's easy to organize a trek in the jungle, I did it with the guide Said and his assistant Idris, best experience ever!

Lovely stay at thousand hills homestay. Room and homestay grounds are really nice and everything you need. Great food and wifi if needed. Joseph was a great host and was able to organise a 3 day 2 night jungle trip for us in short notice.

The jungle trip was great with ‘Jamaica’ Khyril, and Indra. Who were a great guide and the food in the jungle was really good too. Saw plenty of orangutan and other wildlife.

The rooms are nice and clean and Joseph is a very nice guy who stayed up till 3 am because we arrived that late. The food is really nice as well.

Hut next to singing river in magical garden with warm hospitality - it's a gem in the middle of the jungle, created by Joseph and his team. Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful guest house and bungalows in ketambe. Perfect to disconnect from the world. Gentle staff. They offer jungle trekking for 1,2 or 3 days with an expert guide, walking through the jungle, camping in the night time and so have an amazing experience in the jungle. See wild animals in the jungle, cross rivers...they provide breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as camping material. Just amazing!

This is a lovely place. Attractive, simple bungalows in beautifully landscaped grounds set back from the road and nestling into the jungle. Glimpses of monkeys. Josep and his staff are warm and hospitable. The accommodation’s nothing fancy, with an electric fan, a jungly outdoor bathroom with cold shower and no sink, but appealing nonetheless. A fairly wide menu, though all efforts to get things made spicy failed. Frequent power cuts, one of which knocked out the mobile reception for more than 24 hours. No wifi. Frequent heavy rain, even in August: allow time for washed clothes to dry. The village is a relaxed and friendly place.

Jungle trekking was a great experience: orangutans and much more. It’s also, unsurprisingly, hot, sweaty, and sticky, with no shortage of leeches after rain, guides who smoked near-continuously, and shared, if fairly spacious, tents (us plus our guide and his brother). Well worth travelling here for, but know what to expect.

We had to stay a few extra days when one of us became ill (through no fault of anyone’s). A peaceful and attractive place to relax for a few days.

Hemos pasado fantasticos dias en la guesthause. Todo el espacio es un jardín con mucha variedad de plantas y animales (ardillas, sapos, colibris) que son muestra de la vida salvaje de la zona. En todo momento tanto Joseph (el propietario) como el resto de personal nos ha tratado muy bién y ha hecho nuestra experiencia muy fácil y amena. Nos facilitaron la excursión a la selva y organizaron los desplazamientos. Cabe destacar la buena cocina del restaurante que lleva el mismo Joseph. A mejorar podrian proporcionar toallas ya que con la humedad de la zona cuesta mucho secar las propias.
El trekking por la selva lo hicimos con Zaid y Idris y fueron unos guias inmejorables. Muy recomendables.

Ein wunderschönes ruhiges Resort mit ein traumhaften Garten neben einem kleinen Fluss 👍 das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Essen gut. Wir machten eine 1Tages und eine 2Tages Tour mit " Said" vom Thousand Hill den ich nur weiterempfehlen kann er ist einer der besten Guide den wir jemals gehabt haben 👍👍👍👍👍 Danke an Said und Josef
