As a 3-star hotel, Omah Alchy is a hotel we don't deserve, for how it has exceeded my expectations. Don't be tricked by the "3-star hotel" label, because this hotel is everything you'd ever wished for in a hotel. 5 stars!! :D

Great place, great hospitality. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. The waterfront villas are just awesome. Me, my wife and 3 kids spent 6d5n at Omah Alchy Karimun Jawa snorkeling, diving, fishing, hill hiking, paddling, sun bathing, beach walking, jet skiing, islands hopping and exploring the town. Plenty of fresh seafood too! Definitely will come back again someday!

the management is superb, the environment
was very clean, it was the only place where
you can spend time outside without many fly
or mosquitoes, the resort provides free
kayaks, I highly recommend to use it, there are
many corals and fishes, it was beautiful to
snorkel around the resort, ps. becareful to sea
urchins.
Coco, the manager will help you to book any
tour you are looking for in Karimunjava, giving
good recommendations on where to go, from
island hopping, baby shark watching and
jungle tour, the resort has everything could be
possibly provided in the island, the resort
provides also scooters for rent and all prices
are very reasonable, we couldn't ask for more!
it was an amazing and comfortable stay, Coco
also help us to book the ferry tickets from
Jepara.
one more thing to recommend, the food of the
resort was great, they have a simple menu
based on home style cooking,, we have tried
to eat in other restaurants to visits to island,
but we founded that the most delicious food
was the one in the resort, price is cheap and
the ingredients are fresh, the dining area is
outdoor and fly or mosquitoes are almost
absent, in all the other restaurants we went we
felt very not comfortable because of it.
I will stick on this resort for a second trip to
Karimunjava, I highly recommend it

Very good hotel with it's own private pier. The staff is very helpful and easy going, you really feel like your on a relaxing vacation. The beds are nice and the room has good airconditioning, however the bathroom is not great with only a cold shower. If you stay here be sure to go on the snorkeling/ Scuba diving trip that is really cheap for what you get. The diving equipment is of good quality, we didn't have any issues. If you have the time, hiring a scooter is also great, in one day you can see the entire island.

Overall our stay was great and we would highly recommend this place for a nice weekend away from the daily chores. 11/10

The villages are close to the port, beach and downtown. The cottage is on the beach so you can sleep while listening to the sound of the waves.

Delicious breakfast, friendly staff and helpful manager made our trip enjoyable.

You can see mangrove trees. Two dogs made our children happy.

We recommend visiting during the dry season rather than the rainy season.

However, you should be careful about mosquitoes and be aware that there may be rats due to the nature of the accommodation.

We booked one of the two cottages directly on the sea, the experience is amazing especially for the help of the staff, always ready to give a ride or prepare delicious food. Unfortunately we got rainy days so we couldn't appreciate all the possible activities, but we had a great snorkeling afternoon with a boat excursion. The accommodation is quite overpriced respect to Indonesia, but is a special place so if you can afford it try it. The food of the local restaurant is much better than the others restaurants in the town.

Very nice simple seaside cottage, affordable and have a nice facility,
we can go kayaking and snorkeling right away, they have a motorcycle rental, and nice bar.
The food was satisfactory for me and my family, we tried pan seared fried fish, very good
The owner was friendly, the room is air conditioned and clean, the room's toilet is also pretty clean

Loved our stay here. What a perfect spot to relax and chill out after the hectic activity of Java and Bali. Friendly and polite staff, good food and drink and a wonderful atmosphere of relaxation. We stayed for 3 days and I wish it was for longer. We will definitely be back.

I have been meaning to check out this place for years. Then i found myself doing some works in Jepara near by. Decided to cross to Karimunjawa with the speedboat which cost me about Rp 160k and take about 2,5hrs.
Koko from the Omah Alchy picked us up at the harbor. Our great host Nino happened to be there and welcomed us with yummy home cooking local food. Our room was basic but clean & comfortable. We explored other little islands near by which Omah Alchi provided. Certainly we enjoyed the whole experience. It’s worthwhile weekend get away. Omah Alchi is very well recommend for those in budget and seek a friendly service.

We stayed here for 5 nights in June 2016 in the Waru cottage. We had an amazingly relaxing time with our sundeck and ocean views. The most spectacular sunsets we've ever seen! Alim and Alfa + others looked after us well, and Aris and Yuli are lovely hosts. The food by Yuli and Alim is delicious and fresh, with vegetarian options. The free surf sick and WiFi was good. Electricity is intermittent across the island. The cottage was traditional style, and as such was as clean as possible with good air conditioning and lovely partial outside bathroom. You can't beat the fact it is on the water in a sustainable lodge trying to restore the environment!! Great common areas. Would stay again, especially if we could take the yacht out with friends.

General tips - there is no swimming or snorkeling at the homestay. Expect to hire a motorcycle to get around, as walking is too far. They can organise snorkelling and other tours and have a big folder with options. When we were there, there were no bicycles to hire on the island (all broken), so you could bring them on the slow ferry if you don't want to hire a motorcycle. Reef boots or sandals are a good idea especially using the surf ski's or swimming at the homestay where there is sharp coral and poison fish. There is a range of food options in town, about a 20-30 minute slow walk away and plenty of vegetarian options. Bring a torch or two!!

This place has a beautiful sunset. The room rate arround 650k idr. You can see the sea when wake up. There is mini bar also. But i dont know the price, never order for the menu.

The place is not located in a crowded area so relaxing..

A very charming spot on the water in old joglo. The food is very good, you can get a full beautiful grilled fishing delicious juices. The owner is very helpful and kind.

Amazing place. Fine delicious cuisine. Sea food. 3 different type of bedrooms, one big Joglo for family or small group. One water Joglo for couple (my option) and several garden Joglo. Air con and fan. Succulent breakfast. Canoe. An address you better not miss. Pricy.

the cottage is one of the best with affordable price, the view from you room will always bring you a good vibe, and here you can rent a pontoon to hop from island to island in karimun jawa or just find a beautiful site to snorkel. The cottage team also make it easy for you to arrange trip around the island. For me the ambience is just perfect especially the sunset, also you can do canoeing sport as a morning exercise. Enjoy!!! ✨🌻

Omah Alchy is a charming place run by a friendly family and the best place to spend your holiday on Karimun Jawa, believe me. First of all, the location is in walking distance to the "city" and easy to reach. Special is the private access to the sea with a long jetty from where you can go on a canoe ride on your own or on that you can hang out watching the sunset over the endless sea or dreaming to the stars at night. Wonderful!

The rooms and cottages that are arranged around a big, green courtyard are spacious, tastefully designed with a love for details and sparkling clean. We loved the Madagasbar Resto that serves delicious food with a good balance between nasi and international dishes. Not to forget the people: Manager Koko, his family and staff are easy-going, lovely people that are always there to answer all your questions or help you with anything you need. Don't forget to go on an island-hopping and snorkeling tour with them on their cool boat that takes you to the best places to see above and under water. Actually, we didn't feel like being hotel guests but like spending a visit at a friend's place.
