Kanoman Palace

First time visiting Keraton Kanoman (Kanoman Palace), located right behind the local market (yes you must passing through the market to get into the Keraton Kanoman). We refrained to going inside, but there's people whom taking care the palace and you can asked them to going in (there's no counter to buy tickets, the nice old lady asked for fee that you can give based on generosity, since i'm not from Cirebon area, I didn't know the proper amount to give her, that's why I'm refrained from going in). Hopefully Indonesian government see the potential and cultural heritage from this palace and take action to make this palace a proper tourist destination in Cirebon.

Sultanate families still lives there, the palace is still used as a household for the sultan descendants. The place is quite unique and the guide is often related to the sultan. Very nice..

a small museum that is very historically valuable.. hopefully it will be even neater and more well-maintained

this place is the younger keraton at cirebon city, but this keraton have a first building historycal at cirebon, good to know an Indonesian culture here, have so many historycal story.

Such a beautiful place to go

It is very nice complex with historical witnesses for the new generation must know how it was in the past during the colonial era .. this palace rich with the traditional style that is presented and still authentic as it was but small changed have been done to protect in order to let it destroyed by time passed..

The good thing is this historical complex is open to the public except one building that is not entry for the public due to the security reason for protecting the antique and other items that is very fragile for the public's interest..

The complex still doing a lot of ritual and many royal traditions as well as religious activities in the complex to maintaining their day today's life circle on the premises..

Seems the complex maintains by the families itself that is not really well done to the premises it leads to the not controlled very well..specially few building needs to be repainted..cleanliness of the complex also into matters..

Hopefully there will be a government support for the maintaining this historical complex by letting the family keep doing and maintaining their usual activities as their day today's life and culture preservation in the real lifestyle ever..

This sites had historical value amazingly, when the Dutch tried to dismantle Kanoman dignity, they first tried to monopolize the pepper trade, with prices on they own scheme, Kanoman would ruins for bad fiscal, but the scheme was failed, Dutch then tried to cover Kanoman from the society by put a market on the Alun alun.land, in 1924 the market (Kanoman Market) finished ... the access to Kanoman was covered by the market ... with limited access, not much peoples visits here ... with those limited fiscal, that is amazing to hold the palace until now ... even the Ministry helped them to resurrect Pulantara (residence of Sultan sons)

Good place. You can get into the museum and see the collections, and there are also provided the guide to explain everything you can ask.

Good n very ethnic n traditional palace. But it had really bad enter. Should think about where the way to get in here beside from traditional market.

Visited this keraton for my thesis's object amd just realize how beautiful this place is. Must visit place in Cirebon expecially for you who interested in History

When I was elementary & junior high school, our school went to this place to learn historical from local location. I love it and amazed with our historical places.

Castle behind traditional market. It's a shame all the stuff barely maintained though it is an interesting cultural tourist site.
