SERIBU RESORT
4-6th Dec 2023; Family of 4
2 adults, 8yr & 10yr olds.

HOW TO GET THERE
We arrived in Jakarta a day before to catch the next day morning ferry.
There is only one 8am ferry to Pramuka daily, while the return journey is at 3pm.

DERMAGA FERRY TERMINAL
We booked the tickets online, Easybook, to get seats on the morning ferry.
You can also buy the tickets on the day at the counter.
The ferry point is at Dermanga 16, Marina Ancol, Jakarta.
There are a few hotels around Ancol to stay if you’re afraid to be late.
Discovery Hotel & Mercure are the nearest. We stayed at Mercure.
The hotel provides transport to Dermaga Harbour for IDR50k.
If you’re carrying just a backpack, you can go for that morning walk, just 15mins.

There are two shops at the harbour, one is a provision shop & the other a small eatery.
At the scheduled time, they will drop the mic & call your name to board the ferry. The ferry was full & it was squeezy, mostly staff who works on the island. Journey took 1.5hours but we reached the island just after an hour.

PRAMUKA FERRY TERMINAL
The island is under-going some major construction especially the new ferry terminal; good to see progress. Currently, the jetty is messy with construction sand & tools, broken walkways etc. No signboards that state the completion date though.
No shops here, no washroom. It’s a get-off & get-out mode once you disembark.

CHECK-IN
Ferry arrived before 10am & check-in is 1pm. We checked in nonetheless, placed our bags at the reception hut & made our way exploring the island.

ACCOMMODATION
There are two types of accommodation at Pramuka Resort, hut & tentage. We stayed at the resort hut, so unable to review the tentage unit.
Our room for four is big & really spacious. AC works well, good interior plaster walls & tiled bathroom. Hot water is available in the bathroom & they provide towels too.
Beds & linens are fresh, we slept well all 2 nights. But not before spraying some Shelltox in the room.
The outdoor balcony is big, comes with a table & four chairs. Stands to hang your wet outfits are well-placed outside the rooms.
I can’t find faults here except the door-lock a bit tough, I thot the structure got misaligned over the years. Don’t expect 4 or 5-star resort, I am happy that everything works.
No TV, no fridge & wifi is practically at one bar; use data instead.
Rino & Riyan manage the resort. Really cool guys, very helpful & accommodative. Do keep their phone numbers handy.

SNORKELING
I booked the snorkeling trip for IDR250k/pax, thru the resort.
We went to an open-sea sand bank & it was truly magnificent. Above-knee crystal-clear water, white sand in the open sea. Best to go during high tide, otherwise this place is a white sand bank & most boats are unable to stop.
We went to two more locations with clear blue waters with colourful fishes.
Buy your drinks & bread for the fishes from the push-carts before your trip, otherwise the fishes would not be attracted to you & no chance of touching them, heh!
We had late lunch at a nearby island, Nusa Resto. Food is simply fresh & value for money. Loved the experience.

RESORT F&B
The resort has a restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. They also provide complimentary hot water, coffee & tea, at a sharing point within the resort & the restaurant.
You can buy instant cup noodles & get hot water for a quick hot meal.

I fancy saying you can sip a cup of coffee while overlooking some clear blue sunset, but there is none. While you get clear waters you also get mangrove along the coastline & hard water-breakers. So please don't expect pristine beaches on Pramuka.

CONSERVATION
There is a mangrove conservation centre & turtle sanctuary on the island.

All in all, it was good to stay here. The locals are friendly, resort is good & food, though limited, is good.

Thank you Pramuka, I have learned so much. I will go to other islands like Macan, Pari & Tidung for my next trips…

Friendly staff. I left my vitamin unintentionally after breakfast, thought that in the afternoon it will be already gone. But the staff keep it still.

The glamping tent was spacy enough and clean. Hot water is always available in the kinda big size toilet.
In the room they also provide mosquito repellent.

The food is ok. Indomie was always good.

The cats there are also cute, friendly, and has been sterilised.

The location of the resort was very close to the sea.

Very good place to stay! We stayed in a tent which is located on the northernmost part of the island. There is a private dock for snorkeling and/or diving in front of the resort. The staff was attentive and nice. You can also rent snorkeling gear for free (mask, snorkel and fins). Recommended if you are visiting Pramuka Island.

✔Stayed in the tent and we had an awesome time. The hotel gave clear and accurate instructions how to get to Pulau Pramuka from Jakarta (from Marina Ancol Dermaga 16). The boat docked exactly in front of the hotel so we didn't have to walk far. There's a nice area in front of the hotel with bean bags that you can relax in. They also have a tiny beach area...although it's not quite pristine. The tent itself exceeds expectations. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious. The bathroom is clean and the shower has hot water. The room has air conditioning too. I was worried about the insects at first, but they have an electric insect trap and the tent is covered with net so we didn't encounter mosquitoes. The tent also has a lock so security was not a problem. Food in the hotel was ok: breakfast was a choice between nasi goreng and continental breakfast. Lunch was ok too, reasonably priced and tasty enough. The best part was, they gave us a free late check-out since the room is available...made is so much easier to wait for the boat back to Jakarta.
❌Not exactly the fault of the hotel, but the timing of the boat and the check-in/out is not in sync. So there's a bit of a wait. Also, the tent is surrounded by nature (duh!). So if you're not a fan of sounds by animals and waves, maybe it's best to reconsider your accommodation options.

Very cool place to stay. The owner's name is Ria and she is super friendly and helpful. Apartments are good for its price and more importantly it's clean.
Breakfast is included and they will prepare it when you wake up (isn't it cool?!). There's is also a buffet available 24/7 where you can prepare a toast with jam etc. & grab a cup of coffee or tea for free.
Furthermore, there is also a private pier from which you can swim.
Probably, this small cozy hotel is the thing that I enjoyed at the island the most! I wish it success and growth in the future!

Very nice island for a few days gateway! Great for families! Kind advice take as much food you want, there aren't healthy options like fruit, beverages like milk and water, mosquitoes repellent.
