Lumba Lumba Guesthouse

Summary:
Beautiful location, a home stay run by locals with heart and soul. They are really good people and the hole family is working together to make the experience memorable for their guests.

Location:
Your little house will look directly at one of the most beautiful bays I have ever seen.
There is a house reef called lumba (dolphin) because this homestead was the first to be in that bay/ at the reef.
Located in the middle of the beach you have one homestay to your left and one to your right.
Feels really private though and the common area is the nicest of any homestay I have seen as it is next to the yeti (peer) and the water.

Rooms:
Are nice and clean but you should be aware that this is an remote island and there are no such things as 24/7 electricity or tab water.
Having set this we did not miss anything and welcomed the simplicity as a refreshing change from big city live.

Food:
We are vegan/vegetarian and this was not a problem, since the host made sure there was enough options and quantity to be happy.
All meals were prepared by two lovely ladies who made sure to have a good balanced diet and a lot of variation.
A highlight, though not for us, was when Dady brought fish he had caught himself. Looked amazing and those who ate it loved it.

Snorkeling:
The house reef is amazing. Period. It can easily keep you busy for weeks.
turtles, giant clams, beautiful corals and more fish species than you can count.
This homestay provides you snorkeling gear free of charge <3 .
Most others do not so many other guests were coming and asking for it. We tried to arrange with Soul dive before, but they did not seem interested in anything but selling dives. I would recommend staying in this homestay, just for the snorkeling alone.

Diving:
Dady gave us a refresher which included two dives to make sure we feel comfortable.
We as a couple always felt super well taken care of, since Dady was always around for the dives.
Also the recommended dive sites were simply mind blowing.
Keep in mind that you should let Dady know I’m advance if you want to dive so he can make sure to get the right gear for you, since they have limited storage capacity.

Conclusion:
I will come here again for sure <3

Lovely homestay! We stayed for two weeks here and are satisfied. Food at lumba lumba is really good and the location is the best in the island. Is the only homestay that actually has the bungalows over the water. Recommend recommend!

We stayed stayed 1 week with Deddy and his family and it was fantastic ! rooms a clean and confortable.bath room and toilet to share are ok we cannot expect hight 5 stars confort on an isolated isalnd but water was available and paper toilet too. food was good with different dishes available every day fish or chicken and sides. tea and coffee available all day on the diining room. diving was incredible deddy was very available to offer us the best experience always happy to show us the best spots and even go back the next day if we really liked it. he is very flexible, i tottaly recomend lumba lumba guest house and will definetly go back there is lucky to visit again raja ampat

I would love to recommend this homestay. Dedy, the owner is a great dive master. He is a local dive guide knows everything about the dive spot. I did 10 dives with him and those are the best diving I had. They have a boat (old enough, but works perfectly). The food just great! Higly recommended.

Annak aki fel van készülve a komfort nélküli szállásra, nem okozhat csalódást a sziget. Étel bőséggel volt, a homestay gyönyörű gond nélkül hoztuk le a hetet!

Arrivées au port de Waisai, Dedy le patron de la home stay est venu nous récupérées.
Nous avons inauguré le nouveau grand bungzlow qu'il venait de construire avec notre grand étonnement salle de bains et wc privés.
La première nuit n'a pas été terrible car le matelas en mousse était en très mauvais état. J'en ai parlé à
Dedy qui a été très réactif puisque il nous l'a changé illico contre un autre très confortale.
C'est notre premier voyage au Raja Ampat et le premier home stay de notre périple. Nous avons passé 5 nuits.
Accueil de toute la famille très agréable, nous avons joué avec les enfants à ramasser des coquillages.
La nourriture était très bonne.
Bon spot pour nous en snorkling mais aussi pour le diving.
Le seul bémol, nous l'avons appris après en discutant, nous avons payé trop cher le bateau pour un transfert à Ruffas Homestay Pianemo.
Nous recommandons tout de même cette adresse.

Un moniteur de plongée Français Tibault avec un matériel irréprochable combiné avec l'expérience local de "Deddy" pour qui les tombants n'ont plus de secret, un séjour de rêve.... (et un cuistot de rêve). Merci. Merci
