from all resorts that I visited in Raja Ampat, I can say, this is one of my favorite places. The island and the resort itself is a little paradise. it's also nice that they serve originally style Italian dishes. the Italian owners, were always super friendly to me. a big advantage is also that Augusta is far from other resorts. so u have some divesites, where other dive center simply can not go so easy. can really recommend this place as a frequent Raja Ampat traveller!

It was my pleasure to spend one week of relaxing, amazing and dreamlike vacation in Agusta Eco Resort. The island is really beautiful. When you land, you are immediately greeted not only by the friendly manager, but also by the crystal-clear waters where you can see the fishes swimming. The nature is just spectacular. In fact, behind the resort, there is a house reef where you can snorkel easily to see a wide variety of marine life. On the island, I have seen beautiful animals like parrotfishes and Moorish idols.

In relation to other places in the area, the deal offered by this resort is really advantageous, as it includes not only full-board accommodation, but also a free pick-up all the way from Sorong to the island. The boats they use are in really good condition, some of them have 300 and 400 horse power (with the latter it only took 30 minutes to go from the island to Waisai). Additionally, the location of the island is really ideal. It is not too close to the city in Waisai, but also not too remote. It is right in the middle, an ideal site to visit the amazing spots like Piaynemo, Rufas Island or Sauwandarek Village.

The local staffs are very friendly, work very dedicatedly and professionally and always try to please you. I would really like to thank all of them, especially the waitress in the dining area! As for the food, it has been a 50/50 experience for me. In general, the Indonesian food served tastes better, but one time they made a really amazing pasta carbonara for lunch.

The resort is very well-organised. They offer excursions everyday, all you have to do is just to come to the dining area at 19:00 and decide what you want to do next. The only downside maybe is that if you are not a snorkeler or diver, it might be a bit boring for you if you do a trip to Piaynemo, for example, since you will have to spend 2-3 hours waiting for the snorkelers and divers to finish enjoying the most amazing coral reefs in the world.

The room is very well-equipped, complete with air conditioning, a comfortable bed, umbrella and water bottles. The bathroom is also very nice, there are soaps and shampoos so you do not have to worry about taking them. The only downside maybe is that the shower pressure keeps changing, but that is not a big problem for me. The cleaning personnel is very dedicated, they always come every day and make sure everything is tidy and clean. They even clean the water basin in front of the room where you can wash away the sands.

Given the isolated nature of the area, I am really in awe with how this resort has managed to deliver such an amazing service and experience (for example, there is electricity and running water 24/7). WiFi only works in the morning and evening, but that is out of their control given that the communication tower on the neighboring seems to only work at that time. Besides, who needs WiFi if you are on a paradise island where the water is really crystal clear?

I went to Raja Ampat and the dives are among the most beautiful in the world. I do confirm that as soon as my head was underwater the very long trip was soon forgotten. At Agusta Eco Resort I felt immediately at home. The island is a corner of paradise and kindness is everywhere. The cottages are very clean and the food is great, “so good!” (As some American friends repeatedly confirmed). The owners Marco and Mara are always available and helpful in trying to fulfil every client’s request. When I travel I usually don’t go back to the same place, but I’ll make an exception because this part of ocean is stuck in my heart.

Just paradise !
We had a wonderful week at Agusta Eco Resort , Marco and all the team were very nice and diligent people , always smiling. We had a deluxe family cottage with air condition and just in front of a white sand beach. All the bungalows are on the beach .
During our stay our son Andrés had a PADI course supervised by Marco and he just loved it !
Marco joined all the scuba divers everyday and you just see that he loves diving. All his indonesian instructors are very profesional.
The spots are great , sometimes vary close sometimes further away . The night before Marco asks your during dinner what you would like to do next day and he arranges his teams in 4 boats.
During our stay just before X'mas , the resort was full . People coming from all part of the world to dive in one of the best spots on earth. Still not too touristy so it's really worth going even if you are just snorkelers like my husband and I.
Thank you again Marco and his team . We will come back !

I stayed at Agusta exactly 7 years ago when it was just finished. I was volunteering at a close-by island and fell sick with Chikungunya. Marco and Mara took me in and really took care of me. Under the worst circumstances (being sick this far away from any treatment, home, etc) they made my stay unbelievably wonderful. I keep talking about it often - just today, when I realized that I never reviewed this heaven on earth and thanked these caring people! (In my excuse, I am pretty sure they didn't have a Google maps entry back then)

The mattresses were heavenly (imported from Italy), the food was incredibly tasty and with great variety. Mara is like an Italian mamma, always tempting you to try some more of this or that, and unfortunately it was always fantastic - I would have gained 10 kilos if I would have stayed longer, I am sure ;)

And it is so utterly peaceful there! There is nothing than the sea, the birds, trees, breeze and almost no people. I loved watching the small blacktips hunt in front of my bungalow or just to walk around the unspoiled nature on this little island. One day I will return, I just have to save up for it ;)

Thank you again so much for your loving care back then, Marco and Mara! I will always be grateful for that and only have fond memories of your little paradise.

We had the most magical time at Agusta Eco Resort. 17 dives in 6 days - the best time ever.

We LOVE everything about Agusta - the people, the accommodation, the diving! It is the definition of paradise on earth. Barefoot, relaxed, lovely food. AMAZING diving with caring and knowledgeable dive guides who know where to take you so that you feel like you are the only visitors in this magical place.

This is my 3rd visit to Agusta and I feel like the luckiest person on earth for being able to have done this. This trip (Nov 2022) was for some reason even better than the previous trips (Oct 2017 & Oct 2018). It appeared as if the coral was more alive and vibrant than before. More fish and more beauty. Could this have been the gift of Covid?

We saw many Mantas, loved our 2 night dives, the visit to the sandbank for lovely pictures and the fact that you never saw many other people. No crowds. Just us! Every lunch between dives was so special. And the beautiful colours of the water! Oh wow!

Thank you Marco, Helen, Rolly, Ghia and the rest of the team - we will treasure the memories of these 7 days for the rest of our lives. We can't wait to be back with friends.

I was at Agusta Resort for 8 beautiful days and just came back from paradise.
Me and my friends had really great time, and we'd like to appreciate to Marco and every member Agusta Team.
(Diving)
Marco and Roli was our guide and we were really satisfied with their efforts. Marco and Roli really love sea of raja ampat, and did all their best to show aspects of its beauty. We were all experienced divers and craved for diving since we couldn't enjoy tropical ocean during covid, which is almost 2 years. So, most of time, we did more than 60 mins - 70 mins usually and even 90 mins at one dive site - but they never rush us to ascend quickly. Every time, we fully enjoyed our dive as much as we want. And as Raja Ampat has so many dive sites to offer, for 7 diving days, we never went to the same place. Only complaining is that we had to leave this paradise. Beauty of Raja Ampat was never enough within just 7 days diving.
(Surface time excursions)
They made sure that we explore not only underwater but also on land. During our surface time, we did some village tours like Arborek and Yenbuba, enjoyed beautiful white sands on some isolated small islands, made life-time photos on the top of Piaynemo (little wayag) or in a beautiful lagoon in Rufas Island. They offer variety of excursions in affordable price, you just discuss with Agusta Team.
Weather your a diver or not, you can always enjoy these excursions.
(Accomodation)
Agusta resort is an only resort in small island called Agusta island.
From there, you can go to most of dive sites whithin 15 mins to 1.5 hours. 10 Black tip sharks lives near Agusta jetty. You can see them every morning and afternoon.
Cottage was well managed and clean. We had air-conditioner and hot water as well. This was quite useful option for us, as we had to manage our underwater camera things dry. Deluxe cottage is spacious and well equipped. Superior cottage is a bit smaller than Deluxe, but is really nice as well. Every cottage has fridge as well so we can always enjoy cold drink. They offer laundry service as well if you needed. Liquid shampoo and body soap, hair dryer was also equipped.
Agusta jetty is really beautiful but you cannot always snorkel or dive at jetty as current can be really strong. But this was same when I stayed in another resort in Raja Ampat. But Agusta will always offer you some affordable snorkel trip.
(Food)
You can trust food when it comes to an Italian-owned resort. :)
Breakfast was served with toast, homemade bread, fruits and eggs. As we dove everyday, we had lunch box and had it during surface time always with a magnificent view. Dinner was served as a course, consisted of appetizer, main and dessert. We never had some menu during out stay. I love Italian food, and asked Marco for more Italian food option. He made pasta by himself and it was awesome. I miss the taste of pasta so much. Pizza was very nice as well. Dough was chewy and crispy, i would have been satisfied even if there was no topping at all but only Dough. Indonesian cusine was also served, we liked the sauce they use. Some of my friends was offered home-made gelato, they say that it was the best gelato in the world.
I did my 900th dive and had my birthday at Agusta Resort, they made me a really delicious and big chocolate cake, gave surprise party for me. I will not forget the moment. Thanks to team Agusta and my friends.
Thank you again Marco, Roli, Andy, Mae and all the staffs in Agusta.
I'm sorry I couldn't have known all your name.
I highly recommend you to stay at Agusta.
They will do their best to offer you unforgettable moments.

Untouched nature - wonderful! We stayed there for 7 days for diving holidays. Yes it's not easy to get there but because it's not easy, everything is so exclusive. Literlally untouched nature.
All staffs are professional and friendly and the owner is extremly passionate about diving and his resort, he built his own resort from scratch.

It's a completely exclusive island but you have all your comfort! A/C, Electornics, WIFI and...... authentic italian foods! Foods are served as course, pizza, pasta, gelato..you won't expect this in the middle of nowhere island in indonesia.

Don't hesitate it, if you are looking for a resort in Raja ampat, here is the answer :)

We had the most beautiful stay at Agusta Resort. They had excursions every single day to different places in Raja Ampat which were very well organized, including a generous lunch box and enough time at every place to dive/snorkel. The places we visited had such an incredible biodiversity of corals and fishes: we swam with barracudas, turtles and sharks!

The room were clean and comfortable and the owners were so kind, we felt truly at home! We will definitely be back to this little piece of paradise.

Heavenly island and an amazing stay! Agusta Resort was truly an incredible experience.
The workers were extremely nice, helpful and some have become our friends by the end of our stay. The owners were a pleasure to meet and have organized everything to make our stay on the island magical. From daily excursions (Diving, Snorkeling, Site-seeing) to delicious meals, Agusta is a place that will stay in our hearts! We can't wait to visit the resort again. Thank you!

Agusta Dive Resort is a perfect place to stay. The fine nature and very nice staffs is a good combination. The location is perfect for diving with many spectacular dive site a short boat ride away. Dives are well planned (even this unpredictable weather) and really cater to the level of experience of the individual diver.

We stayed in the Deluxe cottage, it was quite comfy, well decorated, big and very clean, with A/C and ceiling fan. The sunrise from the room, facing the water, was astonishing.

During our stay we were a total of 11 guests, so the attention was superb.

The food is a mixed of Italian and Indonesian food, heavier on the Italian side, so for us was a pleasure, even discovering new Italian dishes.

Starting from the hotel staff that takes care of every detail up to the professionalism of Mara, Marco and Marcello as diver instructors, and organising the excursions, what made in our case a terrific week!! Nothing but a huge THANK YOU.

We definitely recommend this resort with closed eyes and will try our best to come back to the tiny little paradise of Agusta Eco-Resort!

Just one world: unforgettable! When you first arrive, you are immediately overwhelmed by the whole nature. The staff will also give you a fresh coconut to greet you and you will suddenly feel at home. It is such a great place where to meet new friends, but at the same time it is a place where you can enjoy your privacy and have a complete relax.
Not to mention the wonderful excursions that I experienced. From diving to snorkeling to visiting lively local villages. I will definitely come back.

Augusta is a really beautiful resort. It feels like paradise on earth with a stunning turquoise sea, white beach in front and coconut trees in the middle. The resort is really comfortable and peacefull.
We stayed in the deluxe cottage, with airconditioning. The cottage looked actually better than in the pictures! The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bed had a mosquito net, but there were no mosquitos in our room (due to the aircon?) The bathroom was semi-open, so a visit from a few mosquitos and bugs can be expected over there.

The staff was really friendly and helpfull. Special thanks go to Marco (the Italian owner) and Rocky (the dive master)
Marco is a really enthousiastic guy and loves to tell the guests everything he knows about the dive sites, fishes and coral, the local cultures and the vegetation. Rocky is a very nice, gentle and friendly divemaster, who is very patient and really easy going (and speaks English very well)
Most of the dives were combined with excursions to authentic villages on the surrounding islands, a mangrove jungle with nice waterfall and the really beautifull lagoon. The rental gear was in a good condition.
Needless to say is that the dive sites are really beautifull in this area, but the strong current can sometimes make the diving quite difficult. Most sites are excellent for snorkling as well, if you prefer not to dive.

The food in the resort was excellent. A breakfast, 3-course lunch and 3 course dinner were served in the restaurant every day (included in the stay). Food was mainly Italian, with a small mix of indonesian. They tried to vary the dishes as much as possible, but sometimes the main dish for dinner was more or less the same (BBQ fish) as some other days, though delicious.

WiFi is not included in the stay and is quite expensive to buy (because of satelite connection?) but 3G with a local Sim has good reception at the edge of the island (few minutes walk)

Important is to bring enough euro’s or Rp in cash, because payment by creditcard is not possible..! And if you dive 3 times a day, need to rent your equipement and want to buy some drinks, the bill can run up high easily (for rates see their website)

The worst thing was that we had to leave after one week in heaven.. we had an amazing stay!

We were there in October, the island and the resort are amazing! The white long beach, the color of the sea and the sunsets are incredible there.

We visited different places but this is very nice place.

The resort is very comfortable, clean and the food is very good (ice cream, pasta and focaccia home made super).

About diving, Raja Ampat is incredible, skull of barracuda, sweetlips, jackfish, big bumphead and batfish... Wabegong (4 in one dive!) and mobula, absolutely great.

Thank you to Marco, Mara and Marcello and all staff for the funny moments there, for sure we will come back again.

We spent one week at Augusta Eco Resort in Raja Ampat, we really enjoy the stay in this beautiful small island. Since our arrival, we appreciate the warm welcome of the staff and the managers (Mara & Marco and Marcello) and the beauty of wild nature around the eco-resort.
During the week we had the opportunity to dive in some of the most beautiful site in the world (Melissa Garden,Ikan Party, the Passage, Sardin Reef, Blue Magic) with the professional and friendly support of the whole crew of Agusta Diving Center.
The strength of the Staff was the ability to propose to us not only diving or snorkeling experience but also other unique activities (Red Bird of Paradise mating dance, easy abseiling of Batanta Waterfall, visit other islands and food market).
One strength is the restaurant where you can eat Italian dishes prepared with local products, very interesting!

Agusta eco resort really worths the trip.
It is a very confortable and quiet resort located on a beautiful island.
The dives are really the best I ever did and I can say I dived almost all over the world: here all the reefs and the walls are coloured and full of marine life.
The food is very good, a mix between indonesian and italian cooking, and the owners and the local staff are super!!
Thank you Marco and Mara!

The small island is a corner of paradise but the owners Marco and Mara made every possible effort to make it a rustic wild home away from home with great and clean wooden cottages, amazing food that you wouldn’t believe you could have in such a far away place and they surrounded themselves with nice local staff. If life above water was already a great experience, just wait till you stick your head in the water! I was just snorkelling but I saw the world down there and I was guided by very nice and amazing guides who seemed to know every coral and every fish all around Raja Ampat. I really hope I’ll be able to go back many times, it was one of the best experiences I ever had and I will never thank them enough!
