Beser Bay Homestay

If you are like me, then you are researching endlessly to see what homestay is the best for your trip to Raja Ampat. We only stayed at Beser Bay, but it was great. My wife and I came with our 3 small children aged 8,5,2. The over the water hut was great with two bedrooms. It was the largest homestay hut I saw during our trips throughout raja ampat. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of electric outlets and a fan for both rooms. We had electricity from the generator from 7pm to midnight each day, which was enough to charge all our devices and use the fan until it got cooler at night. There were also towels for us to use. The food was great and my picky kids were always able to eat. I was never hungry during my time at Beser Bay. It was great to have drinking water in our hut. Additionally the huts looked nicer than many we passed on our trips. I didn't notice many mosquitos out by our hut and consistently slept without the mosquito net
However, there were some mosquitos by the food area. I also never noticed any rats or critters near the homestay. Patrick and Lucia were great hosts and helped us with everything we needed. They even heated up water for kids to take a hot bath. The bathrooms are basic, but have a cold water shower. The location on the lagoon was perfect for my kids to swim in and we loved seeing all the fish from our hut. They have kayaks you can rent, but it's a little pricey at 150k/kayak. I liked having the option. It's great for when it's low tide and you want to go and explore. As others have mentioned, it can be difficult to snorkel at low tide, but we made sure to just plan our snorkeling around that and did trips around the area with Patrick. We did about a trip a day and had a lot of fun exploring the area, we would definitely recommend visiting the mantas, gam bay, and Kri island. I thought the tour rates were reasonable, but it doesn't seem like there are not set prices and could be different day to day. I also liked being a little bit further away from the more popular islands. It seemed like there was less trash in the water than when we went to Kri. I thought the homestay was great for our 6 night trip.

Beautiful place. We had our SUP with us and it was amazing.
It might be a bit difficult to reach the reef at low tide, but i heard that they will have kayaks soon for the guest.
Bungalow, location and food are amazing.

I stayed together with a friend for 8 nights with Beser Bay Homestay and it was very difficult for us to leave. We felt we found Paradise.

The nature is magical, fishes and birds everywhere, starry milkyway sky and luminous plankton at night.
They took us on beautiful snorkel trips close and far. Swimming with turtle, sharks and having amazing viewpoints. Also they organised diving for me.

The houses have everything we needed and are well builded and comfortable. With nice views.

The best at the end, the Family was so friendly and kind. They build a shower in 1 day for us (most of the accommodation don't have running water showers), after trips we found baking, tea and coffee in front of our accommodation, the food in general was diverse and delicious. They did everything they could to welcome us, make ours stay in middle of nature as comfortable as possible and happy.

Fantastic homestay! The location is perfect, great house reef with excellent snorkelling. Close to the most beautiful diving and snorkelling spots of Raja Ampat such as Manta Point. People literally fall under their feet to provide for you. You are treated so good as a guest, a pleasant change after I had a terrible experience in Batanta. The homestay choice is very important when coming to Raja Ampat it can literally make or break your stay. The accommodation is very basic, but everything I need. A huge thanks to the team. Keep up the good work! These guys are amazing here

Unbelievable stay at the very nice and warm family and their beautiful little little island! We did everyday boat tours to other islands, for snorkeling at the most divers coral reef in the world, fresh fish and on top of that we slept in the oversea bungalow! Just perfect!! Don’t expect a luxury stay like AC etc... but they fill it with so much warm ness, smile... thanks for the time!! Ben

Quite and beautiful place. Front of the homestay we can swim and chilling. We can see some baby shark and lion fish around the homestay, schooling fish, the voice of birds, good food, great and friendly owner and staff (I miss them a lot). Not far for the homestay, there some spot to snorkling (Beautiful corals and millions fish) and trip around the resort by boat also good things, there is bat cave, some small islands. I wish I can back there soon.
From this trip also, I met some great visitors and we become very close like family members.

Private, peaceful, welcoming and friendly , nice and simple, but clean! These people(hosts) has the natural creativity and knowlegde what customers/guests like. An extraordinary and "hidden" spot, so far, before the "stream"... One of the best I had during my stay in RA. (This is not a so-called "#-⭐category resort, but a super human qualified Homestay spot!)

Lovely huts with a terrace with matress or hammok, nice grounds, monitor lizzards, lovely dining room, good food, useful drying area. Pretty isolated for people who want to get away from it all!

Sheltered location great for SUPing and snorkeling. Beautiful reefs, dolphins, and more!

Assolutamente fantastico, bungalow super accoglienti con ogni conforto,la famiglia è superlativa presenti, sorridenti e sempre a disposizione, Anna Tina e Lucia sono le regine della famiglia sempre pronte x gli ospiti cucina e cibo ottimi e varietà, mi sento a casa, dimenticavo Tommy e karim i barcaioli fantastici grazie x la vostra ospitalità Pierpaolo e cristiana

Wer das Paradies sucht, wird es hier finden. Ruhige Lage in einer Bucht mit Mangroven. Man erwacht mit dem Dschungel und geht mit ihm schlafen. Die Häuser sind groß und bequem. Man schläft auf zwei Etagen. Es werden viele Touren angeboten, die man je nach Interesse aussuchen kann. Patrick der Guide vor Ort kennt sich gut aus, nur dass eben Wetter und Ebbe und Flut Einfluss auf das Verhalten der Tiere nehmen, muß er noch lernen. Wir waren sogar bis zum Sharkpoint nach Wayag. Man ist mitten in der Natur mit vielen Tieren über Wasser und unter Wasser. Die Damen vor Ort versorgen die Besucher mit vier Mahlzeiten am Tag. Alles ist frisch und qualitativ gut. Wir waren 11 Nächte dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Einzig die Dusche haben wir vermisst. Internet und Mobiltelefon gehen vor Ort.

Beser Bay Homestay ist in einer phantastisch gelegenen Ecke der Dschungel Insel Gam. Eingebettet in eine Lagune , sitzen die Stelzenbongalows direkt auf dem Wasser. Abends lässt sich mit Sicherheit der Walking Shark unter den Hütten blicken und man kann viele Vögel und Meeresbewohner beobachten. Die Hütten sind sauber und mit Liebe zum Detail gemacht. Das Frühstück bekommt man in Bungalow gebracht. Abends kommt das affenähnliche Kuskus von den Bäumen um Bananen bei den Touristen abzustauben. Das ist wirklich entzückend! Vor der Lagune liegen wunderschöne Korallen Bänke die herrlich zum Schnorcheln sind. Das Essen war mit das Beste das wir in Radja Ampat hatten. Schade nur, daß die gebuchte Manta Tour nicht angefahren wurde. Wir alle wußten nicht, daß man dazu scheinbar die RA Besucher Karte dabeihaben muss ?! So wurden wir auf der Korallen Bank vor dem Homestay herausgelassen und sind ca 1 km zurückgeschnorchelt. Schade , daß wir dafür den vollen Preis der Manta tour bezahlen mussten! Einige waren darüber sehr sauer. Ansonsten war Beser Bay wirklich toll. Man kann dort halbtags ein Kajak mieten und die Mangroven Küsten der Gegend erkunden. Viele kleine Haie vor den Hütten zum beobachten. Hat uns gefallen!

Ein tolles, in einer ruhigen Bucht gelegenes, homestay. Die Bungalows sind schön eingerichtet mit großem Bett, Spiegel, in meinem Fall sogar mit Teppich und einem kleinen Fenster. Eine weitere Matratze auf der Veranda, gratis Wasser, Tee und Kaffee sowie 3 leckere Mahlzeiten inklusive eines Nachmittags Snack sind im Preis enthalten. Zum Tauchen und Schnorcheln gibt es tolle Korallenriffe gleich um die Ecke.

Un luogo incredibile e magico. (non adatto a chi cerca comfort, adatto per chi vuole vivere l'atmosfera di un altro mondo).
Dormire lì, in quella palafitta centrale. Ascoltare i suoni della natura. Guardare l'oceano. Sentirsi armonia. Pensare alla distanza dalle città. Camminare in acqua fra i pesci, le stelle marine, gli squaletti. Alzare la testa e vedere un'aquila reale. Salutare un indigeno, che torna dalla pesca sulla sua barca di legno. Accorgersi che il tempo è fermo, e tutto si basa su vibrazioni e sensazioni.
Capire che forse lì, c'è molta più verità.

Ребята привет 😁😁😁Если есть рай на земле, то он здесь. 6 дней пролетели как миг. Всё было супер и бунгало и вода и природа и еда. А семья милейшие люди. ❤❤❤. Если будет возможность мы бы хотели обязательно вернуться именно сюда снова.

Hier lässt es sich sehr schön entspannen. Es werden auch schöne Tripps angeboten. Schnorcheln kann man direkt vom Stay aus.
