New Melati Hotel

New Hotel Melati, is the second form of renovation of an old hotel called Melati Hotel in 1960 and previously before first renovation called Vellberk Hotel, which was built in the Dutch colonial period in 1900 by Hendrik Vellberg, a port authority officer of Gorontalo at that time. The Melati Hotel was the first hotel built in the Dutch era in Gorontalo and most of the guests were sailors who were anchored at the port of Gorontalo.

The hotel now looks modern and far different from its original building, I feel sad about losing an old historical building but feel lucky because I was there before this building totally changed into a New Melati Hotel.
I still remember the time when I was sitting on the hotel terrace while drinking warm tea and enjoying snacks look around the court in front of the hotel where little kids were running and play.
This hotel is now just a memory and when staying there again you will feel like staying in a new building.

Staying at this hotel is not looking for grandeur or comfort as in a five-star hotel but rather enjoying the simplicity and historical memories of old buildings. This hotel is good but has lost its identity and historical value.

Great hotel, clean rooms, good prices, nice and helpful staff: can arrange you tickets for Tuna Tomini, SIM cards or cars to airport.
