Best baked fish in Sulawesi - and right on the water!

We have been enjoying the variety of seafood dishes in Sulawesi, though often found that when grilling fish, the local cooks tend to cook it bone dry. When we were sightseeing in a tuk-tuk in Gorontalo, we had asked our driver to go by the ocean, and we fortuitously discovered RM Ratu, also named RM Raja Tuna. They have a restaurant on one side of the small road, but we sat in their annex - a room overlooking the harbor. They bring the food over from the main restaurant, and the food is still piping hot. We came twice - one lunch and one dinner, and both times, the Tuna Bakar, Grilled Tuna, was just perfect. The fish was still tender and juicy, with just the right amount of grilled flavor. We didn’t find anywhere else on our travels that cooked it so well! While there we also enjoyed the Cah Kangkung, stir fried greens, and my husband enjoyed the somewhat spicy Woku Tuna. Yes, it will take awhile for your food to be cooked and served, but the view out to the harbor watching fishing boats more than compensates, and your food is hot and freshly prepared.
