Bunaken National Marine Park

Beautiful island. The food stands are right in the beachfront so you don't have to worry about the meals stock. Some area on the island are prohibited to visit because it's the part of some resort, but the rest of the island are for you to explore!

I cannot recommend this place enough. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Extremely tranquil. Snorkeling here is a blast and definitely something you need to experience. The locals are extremely friendly and made our visit an experience of a lifetime.

First boat dive experience and definitely not for the faint hearted. Experiencing Bunaken made me want to improve more. Experienced divers would surely enjoy.

Wonderful!
The last time i go here, it feels different, it so quite and not so many activity to do.
But my last visit (2/1/18) this place give me a big surprise.
It is beyond expextation, the view is clear blue, coral reef near the cost of Bunaken Island, the colourful fishes, the locals culture and the traditional foods are all verry lovely.
If you love traveling, Bunaken is one of the most recommended place for you!

Great view, in this national park there are some islands that have womderfull beach with the white sands and clear seawater. Also amazing under sea scenery with many fishes and coral reefs spreads wide.

a beautiful place to go snorkeling if you don't mind other people, just keep the beach and the reefs clean, so don't leave any trash, or even collect a bit of the trash and give it to your captain to help clean the reefs and preserve the local diversity.
You can even see turtles while snorkeling there. If you have an underwater camera, definitely bring one!

A non-negotiable for Monado. Check for life jackets when you get on a boat. Visibility is top tier!

Dived for five consecutive days. Abundance of marine creatures underwater. We saw dauphins on the second attempt. Water is less polluted in Silaten and worsen at Lambi. If you want to see micro marine lives, go to Lambi instead, it’s much easier to obtain good photos.

It was 8 years ago since the last time I went to this place. I am happy seeing that Bunaken has developed yet keep the sea and beach relatively clean. This remains as one of the best diving site in Indonesia, if not in the world.

Absolutely incredible experience at one of the best dive sites in the world. Did five dives for my advanced open water certificate at this marine park, but added two more to the end because that wasn't enough. The most amazing wall dives I have ever done, with beautiful coral and a myriad of marine life. Saw dozens of turtles, schools of colourful fish, nudibranches, reef sharks and even dolphins. The muck dives over on the Manado Bay side were also interesting with huge carrier crabs, eels and bioluminescent plankton.

One of the best national marine park in Indonesia. Hope the government and resident there can protect the diversity there and keep it clean.

It was a wonderful experience there. Altough I cannot say that the place was super clean but overall you should come there. For the beginners (those who are not really good at swimming and cannot swim at all), you can still do snorkeling with the guide. Be careful of the price the restaurants there offer, they may be alittle bit higher. Worth spending time at!

Great place for diving and snorkeling . If you stressed sometimes, come here and try diving or snorkeling because that is the real healer

Best season to visit bunaken is during early dry season, around may to july, the weather is calm, wave is quiet, and fish are shiny i guess.
PROS:
1.Wonderful coral and cutest fish
2.Tasty pisang goreng
3.Clean and fresh water for clean up yourself after swimming/snorkling/diving
4.Snorkling / diving spot is very near to island
5.You can spot Sea Turtle, dolphin, and manta if you are lucky
6.Beach is clean, so children can enjoy building sand castle while enjoying pisang goreng

CONS:
1.Pier need modernization. Lack of landing stairs, and almost cannot accomodate low sea water level. It can be very difficult for children or above average weight person or elder person to climb the pier stairs when water is low.
2.Snorkling equipment need more maintenance. they are expose. it will be more hygene if they were kept in glass rack/storage
3.Floor/pavement to access toilet need maintenance.
4.Also the flooor of the pier has cracks on its tile.

Please renovate this wonderful place to make it last and more attractive

Great vacation spots, for your children too.

Incredible underwater view! Bunaken has been famous for a long tia and I managed to dive here and Lembeh. Beautiful spot indeed. We flew from Jakarta, stayed in Manado and went to Bunaken by boat for some diving trips.

The visibility is clear, the temperature is perfect and a lot to see. Beautiful walls and abundant underwater flora and fauna, like giant sea turtle, napoleon fish, mantaray, and more. Colorful.

We also went to a shipwreck location around 40m under the sea, Molas Shiprwreck. Try Lekuian 1, Lekuan 2, Fukui point and Sachiko point for some diving spots.

I tried snorkeling as well here and it was nice. The boat has glass side at the bottom so those who don't do snorkeling or diving can still enjoy the beautiful underwater world.

You can rent the snorkeling equipment from the boat owner or hire underwater 'photographer' and have your photo taken while snorkeling.

Beautiful place! You can meet dolphins on your way here. The snorkeling place is not too good, but the diving location is amazing.

First time diving outside Jakarta, best place if you like wall diving. Found many turtles around Bunaken.

we stay in Manado, take just around one hour by boat from Manado to Bunaken. we just dive in Bunaken and back again to Manado.

The best place for Snorkeling and Skuba Diving... I love North Sulawesi
