Café Frei

They have a bunch of delicious coffees with different flavours and kinds. Fast and nice service. Highly recommended.

We stumbled on Cafe Frei wandering around the old town of Györ in search of somewhere to eat chicken paprikash. Little did we know that would be impossible on a Monday afternoon. They were very friendly, spoke good English, and kind enough to offer a suggestion, but it was closed. So instead, we returned for a coffee & cake pick me up. Their menu is a bit overwhelming, but the both coffee & cake were delicious, if a bit sweet. Lovely outdoor seating area, which was full when we walked by the first time. It’s clearly popular with the locals!

Cafe Frei is my favorite coffee chain in the world and this branch in Györ old town center is a great one because you can sit outside on warm summer days.

- - Hollywood Caramel Cappuccino
- - Casablanca Mint

Perfect location, next to Széchenyi square in the middle of Győr.

The menu “book” is always full of interesting stories, now we have read about India and the new coffee specialty. This is on the first picture, it was very good but not soo sweet.

👌child friendly: there is a little space next to the entrance where you can put the stroller. Our toddler was walking around among the tables and the waiter was always very kind to him even when he was in a hurry.

Only 4 star for the service, bc sometimes there's a slower service. You might have to wait 10 minutes to even place an order. Although I love the place. The caffee is perfect and the food they serve as well. It is not the cheapest place to go to, but it's absolutely worth it's money.

Best coffee place, so many coffee choices, it is hard to pick one. Lovely young staff, prizes very good.

I popped in here this morning on my way to the train station. Their cappuccino was delightful. I also had a piece of cake as it was all the food they had. This chocolate raspberry concoction was incredible. Finally, I ordered a raspberry drink for refreshment. When you order one of these it's a two step process (which I don't understand) so I selected "for energy" for the second step.

Again, delicious. Strongly recommend to anyone who visits Györ.

A unique café with many coffee drinks from different countries. Accepts euro bills.

Excellent coffees, almost all of them can be made with different milk choices (for vegan people or with food allergies). Nice and comfortable furniture, so you can feel really relaxed there.

The same range of choice is available as in any other Frei Cafes. I particularly love the Kyoto Creme Coffee with plum. The staff is very kind too. Lovely place to spend an hour when you get tired of walking the narrow streets of Győr.

A variable selection of coffees and cakes. I'm extremely fond of their Italian Cheesecake. It was pure heaven, the flavours were perfectly balanced! I come here often in the Summer.

A nice place to cath up with friends with a delicious cafe. Theiy have all kinds of gourmet drinks- my favourite is their Canne ice cafe with vanilla ice cream. The place also has a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place to everyone

I liked the variety of the coffee beans, they were from every corner of the world. The cookies were delicious and the prices were modest. I really recommend this place for having a good conversation with friends.

Big amount of coffee, really tasty coffee and cakes, very nice atmosphere situated in beautiful downtown. I fell in love with this coffee bar and city. I'm looking forward to next visit!

My all time favorite Cafe in the world! 💖 everything is just so delicious!

There is a service also, so you don't have to go to the cashier's to order and pay but everything is done at your desk. I loved it. :)
