Tata lake is magical place with few great places to eat. Malom and Kacsa (aptly named Mill and Duck in English) is a gem to be found on this lake. The food is great, the story behind the restaurant is sweet, and the service is great. I would strongly recommend this place which is now my destination of choice when visiting this town 40min away from the capital.

Went there for dinner, can absolutely recommend. Our server was upfront about when they're closing and how much time will the preparation of our food be. Also he had ducklings on his suspenders which was the cutest thing!*-* My absolute favourite was the chocolate cake from the kids menu. It's the softest, most chocolaty browny I've ever tasted. And overall everyone from our group had a great experience with their choice of dinner. It was on the pricier side, but also worth the money.

Great food and great location. Servers also friendly and polite. I've tried a number of restaurants in the area but this one is my favourite. We booked a table on the terrace which was perfect on a summer's day. All food had high quality ingredients. My only small critique is that they should expand/change their dessert menu.

Came back for their Floating Island dessert!

I just simply adore this place. Next to the water, with a nice and attentive staff :) Their dishes are lovely, you can choose from a wide variety of dishes- let it be pasta or burger.

I advise to reserve a table if you are coming for dinner!

It's quite fancy, right next to the lake. There's proper table service, and the staff was very kind. We got seated immediately, despite not having a reservation. I suggest to get a reservation though. I managed to pick some excellent red wine. The food was super delicious. It's not cheap at all, but you get high quality food and service in return.

Excellent location, we just loved sitting in the winter garden at sunset, by the lake. Friendly, mindful, and expert staff. They have good selection of local wines and seasonal dishes. Soups were great, rosé duck was also perfect.

We were in the bistro when they had live acoustic music in place during the dinner. It was very pleasant, the food was phenomenal and the waiters were very kind.

Great place to stop for food by the water. Super friendly staff. Duck was the thing to get there. Ingredients were fresh and all the dishes were good. A lot of outdoor seating available. We sat inside because there was air conditioning and it was a boiling hot day. Air conditioning made the inside cool but not blowing directly on you. Great atmosphere and decor.

We are in on a Sunday evening and the staff were incredibly hospitable and fun to talk with. Some spoke German and some English as we don’t speak Hungarian. Beautiful food and wine. We would defo return if in the area again

This place is fantastic. First I went with family and today I was back with a group of friends of 20. Being a large group to help the kitchen we could pick our meal from a limited menu ahead of arrival to let the kitchen prepare. The food was impeccable, drinks were nice, cold and delicious. The place is extremely kid and dog friendly so everyone could enjoy the ambiance and the friendly service by the owners and the staff. I will definitely be back and bring more friends and family.

Very very nice menu! Beautiful saveur! Congrats to the chef, who really re created the traditional HUN dishes. Staff pro. Toilet clean and ultra modern. Prices not high at all, if you consider that its a to be Michelin star level resto imho.

Beautiful place by the lake, the customer service was perfect!!!! the food is superb. It’s only a small trip from SK, since it’s near the border. worth it. Strongly recommend.

Beautiful romantic place. Wien on lake. I had fish with mango and rice, that was special and good taste.

Absolutely amazing food, solid portions and reasonable prices, amazing view! Worth a visit and will come back most certainly.
