Really enjoyed the castle trip. Beautiful, older castle, set on the hill. A lot of tourists come here, better come earlier during the day. Entry is very cheap, though corresponds to the fact there are very few guide points to tell the story of this castle. The visit takes around 1 hr.

An excellent tip for a weekend trip with family, children or friends. The nicely renovated castle offers an excellent view of the surroundings. Exposition appropriate to the size of the castle. There is free parking directly below the castle, from which it is a short walk to the castle.

If you are planning a visit, check the opening hours in advance.

There is a nice viewing terrace with a cafe near the parking lot under the castle. And I can't fail to mention the medieval restaurant where you can have a great meal.

I appreciate the possibility to pay by card in the castle and in the cafe and restaurant.

This medieval fort is from the 13th century and is very educational. Some of the rooms are well furnished, and some of them have exhibitions of weapons or tin soldiers. The view is fantastic since it stands on the highly steep ridge of the Zemplen Mountains. Get your hiking shoes because the walkways are not even and are very rocky.

What a lovely little castle with amazing panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. They have done a great job of the restoration work, I especially like all the wooden stairs and balconies. Plenty of free parking. Highly recommend.

Impressive from the outside. Wonderful view over the countryside. 13th century castle build just a few years before the 2nd Mongol invasion of Hungary.
A medieval style restaurant is located right underneath the castle.

Arrive there too late and it is quite dark. However after check with people working there we decide to enter the castle. It cost 1000 huf for adult and 600 for kids above 6.
When you go inside you will be very happy with your decision. It is very beautiful.

Definitely worth for visit. Castle is on the small hill. No need to walk extra long and climb hundreds of stairs.

Stunningly beautiful approach and view. You can see the castle a long way off and it is truly breathtaking. The view from the lookout tower is absolutely amazing.

It is a small castle unlike Eger or Diósgyőr and so there are not as many "attractions" but that mattered not to my little ones.

There is a nice gift shop with trinkets, actor reenactments, a large diorama room, and a rather authentic dungeon.

There was a really cool restaurant but we did not have a chance to stop.

We did not stop in the town but it seemed pretty small.

Well, this is a very popular attraction for a good reason. The castle location is fantastic, the exhibitions and the staff are nice. The entrance ticket is about three euros and that is fair. The attached restaurant is popular, but it won't be everyone's cup of tea.

We really enjoyed visiting this castle. Beautiful scenery, atmosphere and also nationality were very interesting for us. Prices are low, not expensive. Only for few hours, not whole day trip. Thank you a lot :)

Wonderfully renovated medieval castle with fantastic view of all the surrounding hills above. I suggest to visit the place in autumn to enjoy the colorful woods around.

Stunning castle on hill. 360 degree views over surrounding countryside. Spooky dungeon with array of evocative torture tools.

Far away from central but worth to visit. Very authentic, spacious surrounding of nature and the best part is not many tourists reach here haha! List it if you like adventure and culture trip.

One of the most beautiful castles. The perfect picture is taken in the narrow path to the watch tower.
The restaurant bellow is the dream for any medieval fan amd the representations of all major battles in Hungary is simply amazing.
Loved this place!

Good sized castle with lots to explore.
We got there right in time for a knight presentation (pretty entertaining, but mostly if you speak Hungarian :D). Had opportunity to try throwing "ninja stars." Amazing and picturesque ridge-bridge to a watchtower. Well stocked gift shop. Medieval-themed restaurant below is tasty with generous portions, but beware of the pitchers of szörpi: it's cheaper to stick to beer!

Rests in a wonderful location, overviewing all of its surrounding plains and hills. Interesting tin soldier museum in the attic.

Very good view from the wall. The small model of the castle and the dioramas are very nice. There is a funny show of two knights (in hungarian) about the warfare of the knights.
