Bableves Csárda

Love this place, setting and food is fantastic!

The perfect place to recharge your batteries after a great hike in the area. Had a bean soup, poppyseed gnocchi, a mate tried the cottage cheese crepes and another friend of mine had the plum dumplings 🥰

The Bableves Csárda is a small friendly restaurant just outside Hollókő. Everything about this little place is great. Friendly staff, great service and excellent food. Prices are very good and it's also dog friendly. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

Bean soup at its best!
The place lives up to its name fully. Bean soup galore, in any and every variation you can imagine. They all taste great and authentic have plenty of meats and vegetables as it should be made. If you are hungry this place will for sure fill you up.
The OG traditional hospitality of the staff is really cool. Highly recommended!

We had strapachka and cabbage salad. Delicious. We liked everything.

Post communist restaurant. I loved it. Bab leves from the finest. We felt travelled back in time. It's a visit worth and highly recommended 👌

As its name implies, the place's strong suit is the extensive set of fuel-grade soups, based on beans. All kinds of excellent soups, really, have one and you are done for the day. The other dishes are also excellent, including the desserts.
However, the unique feature is one of the waiters, who, on top of his perfect guest-handling skills, has excellent sense of humor, in the Pratchettian sense. Like a perfect innkeeper from Ankh-Morpork. According to my son, he would love to have a grandfather like this. My guess, it's available only in Hungarian.
Anyway, the place is highly recommended for all travellers, on wheels or on foot.

Very cozy place with really tasty dishes. Authentic country side decoration. I can recommend to have a rest here and fill your empty stomach!

I really like this place, it is an authentic 'csarda'. The food is nice, I like much the bean-gulash. Waiting times are, however, a bit long. Ah, and they have a fox in the nearby woods that the children love much!

Nice place to stop by and have a good meal! Big portions, good prices.
