Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport

One of the best airports in Europe. Easy to find your way, it was always obvious where to go and didn't lose any time to ask or search where to check the bags, or to find the gate, a very stressful situation in almost every other airport.
Loved the spacious food court with view of the airfield, another nice thing missing from many other airports. I enjoyed every minute!
Bravo to the builders and architects!

Small but beautiful airport. Easy check in and security check.
If you travel with kids, it’s absolutely amazing. They have playgrounds not one but we found 2! The one on the top lever near the food court is absolutely stunning. Little Dutch wooden toys. It’s super cute and time flies. They have multiple silent boxes for people who needs a quiet room for business meetings or phone calls. (I haven’t seen it before)

It is a small but beautiful airport. Very fast for boarding and depart. The airport is also very clean and tidy. The most convenient way to get to the city is to take the blue E100 bus. Only takes 30-40 minutes to reach the city. Goo & convenient!

Easily one of the best airports I’ve been to a while.

It is clean, large and well equipped with modern facilities including a play tent for kids, charging stands, reading nooks, etc.

It’s spacious with enough seating areas to accommodate a large influx of people at any particular time without feeling crowded or stuffy.

There’s adequate staff at passport controls at both arrivals and departures so the queues move very quickly.

The scanning machines are top notch so you don’t really need to bring out anything except maybe liquids which also helps with the queues.

You could pass through security + passport control in about 30 minutes.

Some major international airports in Western/Southern Europe could learn a thing a two on how to upgrade their airports.

The only thing missing are water refill fountains which would have been so handy.

Beautiful airport ! All is clean with good indications. There are a lot of spots to sit and have a break or a meal. Lots of fast food. In conclusion, a very good airport !

Probably the best airport I have flown from in recent years. I love this airport because it’s clean, high tech, easy to navigate and has some great facilities. Getting to and out of the airport is very easy and is always smooth. The staff here are very friendly and make it very easy to drop off your bag, check in and get through security fast and efficiently. The best part about this airport is the giant foot court at the top making it look like a shopping mall. There is so many food and drink options to choose from such as a Burger King, KFC, a sports bar, cafes, airport lounges, Asian food and more. The duty free has some good products available, and water here is of a reasonable price. The toilets are clean and there is charging points and USB ports all over this airport which is great. Love the other facilities as well such as the small meeting room pods that are scattered around the airport. Highly recommend flying from here !

Arriving at Budapest International Airport at 1:30 am was an interesting experience. After a swift baggage claim, we found ourselves waiting outside for our taxi. What struck me most was how they shuttle you to the entrance on a bus right from the tarmac. It gave a unique, close-up view of the airport.

Despite the late hour, the process was surprisingly efficient, and the airport staff made sure everything went smoothly. It was a convenient and hassle-free start to our journey in Budapest.

Love this Airport. Clean, modern and large. When we flew in we were channelled into a separate passport control queue. When flying out we were able to check in early and the security checks were so easy not to mention quiet.

Great airport. Very convenient breakfast option for a very reasonable price (15 Euros) at the nearby airport hotel in case of flight delay. Ample facilities for people with disability, strollers for kids and assistance for visually impaired. Direct airport shuttle 100E and 200E to the city centre available at the exit.

3) fast service
4) there are many good shops including frei coffee, they had an excellent choice of coffee to the point you feel you want to try all of them !

I would say 1h could be enough, not like huge airports where you need 2h30 or 3h to get yourself ready to the flight !!✈

It is small airport comparing to Warsaw airport, however it has all the required facilities over there. You will get little less duty free shop's. Rates are ok.
One thing which you can see inside airport that is great architecture if you just see the ceiling of roof is with wooden it looks really cool. As Budapest is history rich place so you will going to love this.

This is one of the best airports in Europe with easy access to public transport. Check-in counters and Security is clear signed and easy to get through... plenty of shopping in duty free..there are many cafe, restaurants and shops to explore while waiting. Charging points are plenty around the waiting area. There's gates A & B sections for departure. The design is modern, clean, bright, and welcoming! Very impressed and pleased

Easily the best international airport experience we've had. New scanners so you don't need to take electronics out, only liquids. No queues at check in or really at security. Space to sit down both at the main area after duty free and at the gate. Polite staff, clean and tidy. Good information and the flight left early!

Really beautiful and modern airport. Lots of restaurants and fragrance sampling stores to pass the time. Free drinking water fountain available between gates A13 and A14

Well located and connected airport, easy access to the Budapest: 24/7 aeroexpress 100E for 2,200 HUF to the center or bus 200E for 450 HUF to the M3 metro station Kőbánya Kispest.

On the Food Cort level there is a large selection of food options at good prices for an airport.

At the security check you can receive a plastic bag for cosmetics and liquids.

However, the disadvantage is the access to the gates of low-cost airlines (A12-A25). Take this into account when planning your time.

Clean spacious airport. We spent whole day here because we missed our flight. So we walked about alot. There is usb charging ports nearly everywhere lots of bathrooms and changing areas for babies. Wheelchair accessible also. The airport can get very busy so it felt really stuffy. As we couldn't check in til 7pm we tried the cafe downstairs they had a good selection friendly staff..It took about 30 /40 mins to get checked in we were very tired at this stage so it seemed longer and the queue behind us still had to check in. Security was slightly better. The female staff seemed very abrupt when I had to get frisked and a few other woman too. I know it's there job but it makes you feel uncomfortable and probably the language barrier. Past security there's lots of shops and food outlets and kids play area and buggies for tired toddlers. Look about to see what you like its expensive prices vary . Buy the water in the vending machine it's cheaper it's near the lounge area. There was lots of seats here also which was great.

This airport is very modern and great for passengers. Lots of food choices and the security was fast. Best section of the airport was the waiting area with really comfortable seats.

Parking places outside - you will need to book in advance from their website, make sure you have the ticket printed in case of issues at the gates.
Walking distances from parking between 5 - 20 minutes.
Huge airport with under 10 minutes waiting at security gates, crowded always, a lack of spaces to rest if you need to wait for a couple of hours until your flight is schedule

Such a modern and clean airport! This one is my favorite one after traveling in 21 countries.

It is also very spacious and offers plenty of spaces for the passengers to relax and to shop.

I always talk about it as a great example of airport experience. Keep up the great work!
