Balatonfüred Vitorláskikötő

Lake Balaton was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Budapest. I can feel you can easily spend the day there visiting the different places around the lake. As expected, it's full of bars and restaurants but this doesn't impair the beauty of the place. The weather wasn't great so I couldn't swim but I would highly recommend taking a short boat trip to make the most of it And appreciate the clean waters.

Very nice waterfront, wharf, park, shopping, restaurants etc. Nice place to walk around and enjoy views of the lake and sailboats while enjoying all the amenities. There was a wine tasting competition and festival while I was there. Beautiful place to enjoy for an afternoon or a weekend.

Beautiful! You can go daytime or after sunset, always nice there. It is safe and clean.

Holiday resort on Europe's largest lake. Staying in Hotel Annabelle, 3 star amenities and food fine. Here for International Canoe Federation Stand Up Paddleboarding championships 2021. Lovely atmosphere to the place.

Enjoyed a wonderful 1 hour cruise in Balaton lake originating from Balatonfured marina. Very busy tourist attraction of Hungary especially in summer. If anyone wants to enjoy water 💦 and missing sea side, then Balaton is definitely place to be.

A dock with a good view of the lake. It is full of flowers and has many ducks and swans. Also, you can take a mini-train to go around Balatonpured here.

Must visit place and you will definitely love it

Good place to visit while at Balaton. You can eat, drink, shop, or take a boat out to the center of the lake while drinking an ice cold beer. If you dont like to walk hop on your bike and ride around or take a seat at one of many benches and relax while taking in the views of the swans and birds being fed by the children. You can even rent a kayak or lake bicycle in certain areas.

My very favorite place in the whole world. Over 30 you can find everything you need. Great restaurants, boat trips, relaxing walks and one of the most gorgeous cities of Hungary. Balatonfüred is the place to see whenever you are in Hungary. It's only a couple of hours drive from Budapest. A must see

Great place to visit outside of Budapest. Can take up to 2 hours on the train, but what a beautiful spot. From here we took the boat to Tihany, had a nice walk around then got the bus back to Balatonfured (no taxis available), for dinner before taking the train back to Budapest.

Stunning Port with Rose Garden exhibit, always an uplifting experience to come here and enjoy activities, music shows at the Kisfaludy Stage, long walks at Tagore Promenade, a place for many events & local handmade products boots with beautiful souvenirs as well! Food and wine and other drinks also available all over the promenade and Marina Corso, a must see the large statue of Rabindranath Tagore at the tree he planted in 1926 after recovering at the famous Cardiac Hospital nearby!

Absolutely gorgious place to visit all year around.

The bay of Balatonfüred is the starting point if many ship routes. If you wait for your transportation, or just take a walk at Balatonfüred, this is the best place for it. Always full of people, seasonal marketplace, recovered a few years ago. You can enjoy the beautiful roses in the summertime.

Lovely view and busy environment with shops and boutiques. Nearby alongside the lake many small wine tasting places.

Yes, we accidently visited in time of Balaton harvest festival and it was gooooood.
