Ópusztaszer Heritage Park

This is one of the cool places in Csongrad! It’s a very interesting place with very nice sculptures, statues, monuments and exhibitions. The place is kinda big but it’s easy to walk around as many benches are available to rest. It’s full with Hungarian heritages and histories. Different parts of the area have different displays and you’ll be entertained with each part of the park. It’s truly a worth place to visit.

We went for a bike ride from Szeged to Ópusztaszer, on a perfect bike lane (cca. 30 km). Please do visit the fabulous heritage park!

Worth visiting at least once even if you're not into heritage parks. Definitely a feel-good place, especially the skansen with the old buildings and structures.

Rich hungarian history, culture and traditions nested in this peaceful open museum with beautiful sceneries.
I learnt alot especially the early education system, classes, homesteads and replicated villages, paintings and monastery.
I was happy to see sample books, assignments and the map of Africa in the display.
They accept credit cards and they offer different rates/ packages for groups and families.

Great place to know Hungarian history and culture.

The picture is amazing! But it does not allow you to take a photo. In the park, you can walk around and spent a whole day in the old village, it seems you go back to the past.

Wonderful historical site near Szeged. The Panorama is worth to see at least once in a lifetime. All site is giving a nice impact on Hungarian history and culture from Árpád times until today. It takes approximately 4 hours to visit.

Get to find out the myth of how the Hungarians got to be in Hungary! Spoilers, it vas via Mongol violence and conquest...or something. Also, see historical electrification through the eras, in houses representing people of different financial status. Next to impressive steam machinery and a make believe church.

Nice place to visit. Do not expect to find some food nearby.

Nice scenery for food relaxation and comfort. Beautiful artistic design that blends artificial paintings and nature. Ancient history explained vividly using modern tools. I suggest an improvement in the English translation, too short and volume too low so at a point we couldn't follow. But on a whole, the pictures gave me a good memory.

If you come to Hungary then this is one place I'd highly recommend, shows so much about how the country became what it is. Loads to see and do, the 360° painting is stunning and these really aren't my normal things to come and see. I've visited it twice and love the place, great parking and good food available too.

Amazing place to visit ! I highly recommend this beautiful place to visit ! Òpusztaszer presents the Hungarian history from the beginings. I recommend you to buy a full day ticket which will allow you to see the whole site. Good fun for the whole family !

This is a wonderful dive into Hungarian History. All the kings and political figures, the original houses transplanted into this beautiful piece of nature and rebuilt in a way that you can really intuit how life was in the past. Many objects of handicraft, professions like weavers and smiths and teachers are vividly shown, partly by real people strolling through the park in costumes of that time. I loved the old houses and the objects inside. They reminded me of my early childhood in Germany where many of the objects were still present in grandma's place. This is a perfect lesson of history, inspiring as opposed to learn those things from books.
