Miskolctapolca Cave Bath

A truly amazing place and a must visit while you’re in Hungary! Be prepared to spend a day here and have time to enjoy the baths inside and the pools outside.
It was a very hot day on our visit therefore the bath was quite busy and crowded.
It’s a little walk from parking to the bath but we’ll worth it as you go through a beautiful park.

Stunning stunning place- absolutely worth the trip. Had a blast, and I was so relaxed at the end of it.

Really nice place to visit at least once in your lifetime. It's a real underground gallery of caves with thermal water, great for fun and swimming. There are several pools with various themes and different water temperature. There are also streams that come out along with mineral deposits. Only con is that the lockers are kind of outdated and in poor working condition, also the changing boots are limited and it gets crowded.

It was an exceptionally relaxing experience to go to this bathhouse. We spent approximately 3 hours and I could feel the tension and compression on my spine relaxing. If you're ever in the area, make sure you attend this relaxing experience. This is definitely worth your time. The price is reasonable for a large group and you will see several families there together.

Fantastic place, every time we come to Hungary- Miskolc we can not miss it. We have to come at least once. Great family environment, clean, well presented changing rooms. Cafe and food area on site with seating.

I rate it 5 stars for the cave bath which is amazing! The other pools are clean, but have not been renovated since Ceaușescu was still young.

Great place! There are many swimming locations: several illuminated caves, as well as swimming pools with different water temperatures. Convenient lockers that open with magnets, and then find out the locker number, you can use a special device with a screen: bring a magnet to it, and it shows the locker number. In the cold season, the space does not work outside, it is enough to spend 4 hours inside. Prices are quite democratic.

This amazing cave thermal bath is a superb experience to just chill. It takes 2hours to drive so rented a car and coupled with other places. There are various types of baths. The first one has currents which take to forward and this can be experienced once every hour for about 10 minutes. Hungary is indeed a place full of thermal healing spas. .

Amazing baths, really relaxing and a real treat to swim between the caves. They also offer soa treatments for a very reasonable price

Thermal water creates here unbelievable shapes. First time I see something that was built really based on nature but not against it. The entrance price is really low. Be prepared for service like from 80th)) but it's even add some charm

Very beautiful and unique place.. the fact that visitors behave like chooligans is another thing...not very relaxing when they talk lound and let their kids jump and scream...but the place itself is cool and cheap...the 4 hrs entry in my opinion is enough

Parking: there are many free parking slots before 11am. However, it would take at least 7-8 mins walking to the cave bath. Going with kids, the time will consume more.

Cave bath: the indoor cave bath is absolutely beautiful and amazing. There are two levels. The first level is cold water and the second level is warm water. Both of them are comfortable and acceptable. You will feel fresh and energetic by swimming alternately. The natural cave is another element to make the whole environment unique and splendid. Unfortunately, there are too many ppl.

Outdoor: the outdoor pools are more friendly and designed for kids.

Food: expensive

Changing room: there are not enough changing cubes. It might need to wait.

It really could have gone either way, tacky or awesome...luckily somehow it all really worked! I'll be back, but next time I'll make sure it's not a holiday! 🙈 Didn't realize it was a holiday Monday in Hungary, so there were too many kids!
Also got the mud bath, the mud doesn't smell great! Haha was an experience I'm not sure id repeat.

Very unique, very well priced. The cave area of the spa was much more expansive than I imagined it would be so I was very impressed and had a great time exploring and getting lost throughout the whole complex. The outside was also impressive. All and all great spa experience.

We really liked the visit. It is something you must see. Surely, a lot of people and most with children but we were in high season and it was completely acceptable. All is pretty well organized, there is description and voice announcement in many languages ( Polish, Russian, English, German and Hungarian). You have lockers with electronic keys, changing rooms, etc. All is clean and safe. View inside is magnificent and worth seeing. If you have only few hours in Miskolc, the cave bath is a must.
