Debrecen Zoo and Amusement Park

Super sweet zoo in Debrecen with lots of cute animals and caring staff. We would return anytime 🙂 especially loved the giraffes, the penguins and the little monkies! Rabbits are so sweet too.
It is an adventure park next to the zoo, also worth to see it.

Nice layout for the zoo. Animals well care.
The additional option with the amusement park on one of the sides of the zoo make the visit complete to spend the whole day with the family. Only problem is in winter amusement park is closed and some of the animals cannot be seen in the same way.

I enjoyed my time at the zoo! They had a lot of nice activities for children for Marci's birthday. My favorite was the bird enclosure and meeting the hornbills.

Very lovely Zoo. It seemed like the zoo was built into the forest/greenery originaly grown in the place. a lot of attractions for kids with a small amusement park.

We had a great time, a decent variety of animals and a lot of nice places to take a walk and pictures!

A nice little zoo where you can spend a lovely few hours. It is nice and clean and the animals are well taken care of.
A nice bonus is that you are alowed feed the ostriches and the antilopes with dry food that you can buy from a machine.

A beautiful palce with a lot of animals, is worth to bring the kids here to see the animals in real life. Also the staff is really polite and respectful.
There is also a fun park with a lot of activities for the kids.

We visit the zoo in December and altought many animals and birds were inside, we spent delightful moments there. I'm sure that in the warm seasons is even more exciting for the kids and adults also. The amusement park and the stores were closed, but that didn't stop us to have a great time in the zoo. The girrafes were inside, but we profited for that time spent inside to buy a nice hot chocholate and to warm up a little bit. I suggest to take couple of hours for visiting, for sure you won't get bored.

A small zoo which has all the 'popular' animals (lions, tigers, giraffes etc) along with some unique ones: local pigeons, white peafowl and Minnesotan minipigs,the latter you can even buy. The amusement park is only suitable for little kids but even adults can enjoy the train ride that starts from the edge of the amusement park and takes you through a wooded area, where you can spot some deers.
There's a great burger place between the amusement park and the zoo where you can sit outside.

Cool Zoo, lots of animals that did not look dead inside. You could feed the lamas, sheep and donkeys. You could also come pretty close to most animals.

The zoo is bigger than it looks from the outside. The animals are treated well, although some cages are rather small. Would have rated 4/5, but +1 for the exoticism of the creatures.

Great place to spend some quality time with the kids, even in November when the weather is still warm to be outside.

Various animals, including hypos, tigers, lions, bears. It's about 2 hours of walk. It's an amusment park next to the Zoo, but it was closed in March.

This is a lovely place to spend a couple of hours. There's a wide variety o animals (tigers, lions, hippos, giraffes...) and they seem quite well kept.

Surprisingly lovely zoo, small but diverse! Small African penguins are great!

The park itself is clean and well-proportioned. If you have a child, the place is a must to visit in the town.

Little outdated but worth popping in. The giraffe area looks fantastic. I hope this place will be renovated soon.

Great and clean zoo with a lot of animals inside a small forest with a great ambience. Program with animals is also interesting.
The amusement park is really big with a lot of things you can do for all ages. Prices are kind of cheap.

Garden within the city, a nice relaxing walk observing animals, suitable for all ages.
