Lake Tisza Ökocentrum

What a great experience!! The center was built around 10 years ago, it includes an impressive still water aquarium with sturgeons, a 3d movie theatre, an observation towers, some playgrounds for children... You can also do a tour in a boat to see the natural life of the lake. Very much recommended. Boat and 3d movies are at an extra cost, but great to do!

This place is a must visit, if you are around Lake Tisza. With or without children you may easily expect 4-6 hours or more, so it's a full day experience, a less than 4-hours stay is simply not worth it. Combine it with a lake excursion, some minigolf, the 3d cinema, a slow lunch or whatever. I advise to inform beforehand about the public feedings so that these won't conflict with the cinema or excursion times to get the full package.

Great introduction to the local wildlife through the boat trip on the actual lake and the 3D short documentary. Good collection of Hungarian animals and some foreign ones. All kept at larger area, fed well and treated well. The aquarium area has a large tank dedicated to “viza”, the local beluga fish , which is almost extinct due to intensive fishing in the past. Don’t miss the daily animal feeding, which is a favourite for kids.

Very nice place to visit if you are near by. Although it is not so famous, the place is child friendly, warm and also wild. Because of the 1st of May, it was very crowded, we had to wait to see the aqvarium but it was worth it. We spent around 2 -3 hours and did not reached to see everything. There are not so many animals as at the zoo, the view from the tower is very nice, it has 4 towers simbolizing the fours seasons. Highly recommend to buy the park+boat combined ticket, after visiting they take larger groups for an almost one hour boat ride on the lake which is an awesome experience to see it from another point of view and also learn a few interesting, never heard before facts about it.

Very nice and very educative park to learn about the Hungarian nature and wild leave in the near like, the park has a nice stretched setup, with different playing grounds for the youngsters. Addtional you can go up on the observation tower with magnificent view of the surroundings. I really recommend to visit this park if you are in the surrounding of lake Tisza

A nice place to visit, specially with children. You can see a wide variety of the local fauna. The central building has an amazing aquarium with many of the fish living in the region. Well worth visiting. Be aware that parking is not free, I believe is 2,000 HUF

Nice place not only for kids. You can spend a full day in the centre. If you want to go on a boat ride or watch the 3D movie, it is recommended to arrive before lunchtime to get spots in case it's too busy.

A must see place with the typical plants and animals of this area of Hungary. One can find a big aquarium here and also a lake Tisza tour is provided by boat. Love it!

I totally recommend to visit this place if you are near Lake Tisza or Poroszló. There's a huge (the hugest in Middle-Europe) aquarium with bunch of rare and nice fish and there are everything that you should know about Lake Tisza.
There's also boat trip and 3D movie in the (most expensive) price, but it's really worth the price.

Great place to visit with loads of outdoor and indoor activities. Very kids friendly. Beach is clean and lovely. Boat trip is very cool.

Great spot to get to know the habitats surrounding the Lake Tisza. We went for a 45-50 minutes guided small boat tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. It was all in Hungarian and I'm not sure if they provide foreign language yours too.

Beautiful place :) suitable from kids to adults. We had a really nice day out there. The food is a bit expensive, but you can picnic there.

Very nice place with many animals. Inside an amazing aquarium with local fish, smaller aquariums with exotic fish and lutras (feeding show twice a day) and terrariums with insects, reptiles and frogs. Outside is a big yard with small lakes. Basic entrance fee is approx. 4 Euros, which is really good price. Audio guide rental price is approx. 3 Eur/piece. I spent two hours with my friends there and could spend another two-three.

Very nice infocentre and aquarium with many fish species. Outside exhibits are also fantastic with many animals (birds,beavers, otters, etc.).
There are also many playgrounds for kids.
All signs are in Hungarian but you can borrow audio guide in English for free.

You can have a great day here with your kids. Inside is a really nice aquarium with sweet water fish to look at, outside is a large selection of local fauna. Be sure to check out the otter feeding, and I also recommend the one hour motorboat ride on the lake.

Very nice place with a number of both aquatic and land animals, and the boat tour was very enjoyable.

Highly recommended.
The boat tour is very informative (don't know if they speak English) and gets you close to nature (literally, branches and reeds inside the boat in the narrow channels!).
3D movie is good if you like that. Scenery is beautiful, but 2D would be just as good.
Outdoor animal yards are fun, go to thr store and buy fodder. Deers will eat from your palm.
The underground aquarium shows the local freshwater species. There is a glass tunnel, you walk and the fish swim around you.

Excellent place!
Ideal location for families, there are many interresting facts/activities also for little childrens, also for greater kids.
The adventure playground is recommended for childrens aged 7-14 years.
They have also a mini-zoo, especially with animals characteristic for Hungary's fauna.
The aquariums are great, especially the tunnel, where the fishes can swim also above you.
The view from the top of the observatory tower is fantastic.

Loved everything. Although, there's some area that smells bad maybe due to moisture but all in all it's good, unique and informative.
