Tunga Re

Lovely little pizzeria with the most amazing thin crust pizza from the wood-burning oven. Honestly, one of the best I ever had. Super reasonably priced too. Pair it with a fresh draught Ozujsko for full experience! TOP!

Tunga Re is a great pizza place, one of the best pizzas I had not only in Murter but generally speaking. The atmosphere is very relaxed and owner very friendly and carismatic. Besides pizzas we also tried their lasagna, sea shells from the oven, shrimp salad and all food was tasty. Usually it is quite full, so you might need to wait a bit, but it is worth it. Cash only! I recommend this pizzeria!

UPDATE 2023 (visited in june and august): Still the same level of quality, best pizza in Murter to my taste. In high season they have additional tables across the street. I forgot to mention in my initial review that they don’t take reservations. If more people wait in line you recieve a paper with number so you know which in line you are. It’s more than worth to wait in my opinion.

While TungaRe is best known for it's excellent pizzas, I come here for the seashells - these are perfectly prepared in the bread oven. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly! The seating area is in a small side street and it's nothing fancy, but that is how TungaRe has been for decades. There are no reservations, so it's not unusual to see paitent guests waiting for a table to become available. For a good reason too!

[Update 2023: no more seashells on the menu... Talked to the staff, apparently it's hard to supply them and the prices are so high they feel they would turn the customers away if they kept them. Still, the pizzas are absolutely fantastic!]

I love this place. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the owner is kind and knows how to crack a joke. 😊 So far I’ve tried pizza, lasagne, scallops and everything has been delectable. The pizzeria is normally busy so you might need to wait for a while to be seated. It’s well worth the wait and the prices are reasonable.

This was one of the best roman style pizzas I have had in a while. Fresh ingredients, nice crispy crust ( wood oven baked), even the tomato sauce on the pizza was flavourful and really nice. Our waiter was also very nice and friendly, and his good mood was really contagious. I really recommend this place. We have to come back and try another highlight of the menu.

Pizza is very delicious. Best for those who like their pizza thin with „more“ toppings than usual. We tried several pizza and they were all excellent. Price quality is ok. Ambient and location is fine and small so you must expect either to wait for a table or reserve before arrival.

Service is friendly and the beer is ice cold.

I had an amazing dining experience at Pizzeria Tunga! The pizzas were delicious and had a unique Croatian twist that added a delightful flavor. The crust was perfectly crisp, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.

Best pizza and place to eat in Murter! We eat here every time we are in Murter.

My group of 14 came here and multiple people said it was the best lasagna they have ever had. Came back 2 nights later to confirm that the lasagna is 10/10 and once again it exceeded our expectations. Pizza is also amazing and the risotto/pasta was great. Service was on point and the prices were reasonable.

As of Aug 2022 Google doesn’t have the location quote right. It is on the opposite side of the street.

Excellent pizza and friendly staff, year after year (for over 10 years now). I highly recommend it. Just prepare to wait a bit, the seating is limited.

Favourite dinner place in Murter. Love the pizza, lasagne and chips. Quick service. Visited a few times in September. Unfortunately they were closed in December but looking forward to visiting in May, when we go back.

Update: they have officially reopened for the season (visited March 22nd as they reopened a few days before). I think we might have been their 1st non-local customers but anyway, food is just as good as always!
