We had an absolutely amazing time at the Fakin Winery, they put together a lovely picknick for us and recommended great wines. They were super nice and helpful. The wines are amazing - we will come back to get some more to bring home.

Was going to just stop in for a quick tasting and ended up loving it so much we stayed an extra day. The best of Central Istrian experiences with Luka: warm hospitality, knowledgeable on the local wines and wineries, and an easy going attitude. Luka made our day/ trip. Easily my favorite spot with views of Motovun. Favorite wine was il primo- french barrel aged red. Can’t wait to go back- Hvala!

Amazing! We did the off road and wine tasting tour. Our hosts Luka and Mihaela were very professional, entertaining, with excellent knowledge. The scenery was so picturesque and the vineyards tour very informative. We had a lovely snack, tried great wines and bought some presents. I can highly recommend this tour!

Amazing winetasting with Luka and Dominik. They showed us the wine cellars and we had a great time talking with them about Croatia and the surroundings. We felt at home! Would recommend trying the aged Malvasia, it’s superb!

Excellent wines and an ambient to enjoy it. Could not get the a full sit down tasting but was able to taste a few wines - Malvasija Amfora being absolutely faboulous.

Excellent wine tasting! For 10€ per person, we tried seven wines and they were all very good, some excellent. We also a big platter of cooked meat and cheese, with a tasty bread. Emily, our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and with an excellent English. Thanks!

During our Croatia visit in the summer we definitely had to hit up some wineries in the north of Istria.
When we arrived at Fakin wines, it was already quite late in the day but Luca took a lot of time to talk us through the different wines we were tasting, and even had us try an additional one (you can purchase 'package' tastings) for free.

He was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed not only the wines, but also the company and conversations about 'god and the world' with him.

Since we were visiting in March, we were alone in winery, had a great couple of glasses of Malvasia, Pinot and Chamal. Easy wine for everyday occasions.

We had a great experience with Luca at Fakin. The tasting area is very professional but the way we were welcomed was anything but boring or formal. Great stories about wine making and also enough to laugh about. If you are looking for an afternoon of fun and good local wine, visit Fakin!

We spent the day in Motovan and saw a lot of Fakin wine being sold. We realized our Airbnb was close so decided to visit the tasting room. We were greeted by Luka. Luka takes hospitality to a new level. We ended up staying and visiting a couple hours. Everything there was incredible! We purchased some items but sadly we were leaving the next day and did not have a lot of room. Good news!! They ship to America! We also wanted T shirts that they were sold out of in the store. Luka had them brought down from the shop in Motovan the next morning so we could pick them up. Highly recommend spending time here if you are in the area. We also were fortunate enough to meet the shop dog.

Just visited your vinary in Batai having acquired villa nearby and tried your rose (served by Dominic) realy amazing local wine certainly hope to visit your place in Motovun itself soon.

We were warmly welcomed and had really great wine advice. Of course, the wines were all fantastic and each one special in its own way. We can only warmly recommend Fakin wines. @Cadin Gillingwater: I'm sorry... but Dora, our sommelier, pointed out to you in a normal and friendly manner that you were on foreign premises. No more and no less. She was neither rude nor angry with you. 🤷🏻‍♂

We had a very nice and cozy wine tasting at Fakin, Dora explained every wine like a pro and took good care of us with some cheese also. The Cat Tiggy 🐈 was there to enjoy us aswell.

Terrific wine in a beautiful setting. Luka was great and made us feel like old friends. Wish we could have had more time here. Highly recommend.

Great Istrian wines :)

The best wine tasting experience out of 8 Istrian wineries we have visited. Delicious Malvazija and Teran and the best sommelier Luka :)

Fakin winery was recommended to us for wine tasting while visiting Motovun. The host at the winery was super friendly and created an amazing atmosphere. Moreover, we found two new favorite Croatian wines. Also, bathroom is very aesthetic.

First of all the wine tasting was very interesting and fun, and you get to learn a little bit how they make the wine and what’s the differences between them. Our guide was very talkative and liked to chit-chat. The wines were fantastic, and if you ask you can see the wining room with all the barrels, but you have to call in advance to get a tour on the fields, but if you just want the wine tasting you can just drop by. Ps: they only take cash and not credit card, and we didn’t have so much cash so that was a little bit sad. But we got to taste a lot.
