Apartments Conar

We had missed our ferry and have found ourselves stranded on the island (which is a magnificent, calm place with stunning views and magical atmosphere of time not passing here at all). We were led here after talking to the locals. The apartment was prepared in just an hour. The host welcomed us with great hospitality. Even though our story was pretty scary at first (with missing the last ferry) but in the end, it turned out to be an amazing experience.

Very nice place for relax and sea swimming if you are not searching for a comfort. Accomodation is about 10-15 meters from sea and offers a molo for swimming.

Accomodation / apartmans are located in a house with 2 floors. Downstairs are larger apartmans, upstairs are small apartmans, but offer a balcony with sea-view.
All apartmans are available only by stairs.
There is no air-conditioning available.

As apartmans are practically next to each other, there is disadvantage of noisy neighbourghs, that can cause huge discomfort on such a quite/relaxing place. Similar with smoking neighbourghs - if you are sitting on a balcony, you smell all of it.

Family / owners are very nice, friendly and supportive. We had an apartments “festa” where owner brought fish and grilled it - it was so nice.

Property and island is located in landing/departure zone of Split (Trogir) airport and airplanes are about 900m above sea-level when passing Drvenik Veli - that is meaning quite lot of noise. Can be funny for airplanes fan.

Parking of a car is not preffered on the island at all. Visitors can park their cars in the island, but as there are almost no roads, car is not very usable and only takes place for people (planned is car-ban in next seasons).
Preffered is to leave car on land and walk to ferry (trajekt).

Neighbourghs between sea and apartmans Conar are usually quiet.

There is no drinking water on island (like in many places in Croatia), so recommended is to buy 7 litres plastic bottles in a shop - on island.

Shop offers only basic goods, but usually enough to buy daily food or sweets...
To buy wine or olive oil, it is recommended from locals.

There is also a post-office and in season 2019 also a doctor. Both has limited “opening hours”, but everyone can get used to it.

Sometimes there is electricity power outage (not caused by apartments Conar) that is on all island. It can happen even 2x per 10 days and last for 12 hours. In such case is an noise from diesel generators of ferry boat very hearable in the bay during night.

Recommended for ”less comfort” demanding people, that will get relaxing time and clean sea-water.

We stayed here for few days and it was great. Place is at the beach in the very center of the small but old village. Perfect place for off beaten tracks holidays ❤❤

Malo je reći da smo oduševljeni boravkom u apartmanu Conar! 😁 Uz sjajnu lokaciju, prostran i udoban apartman, koji ima bukvalno sve što vam treba, čak i za duži boravak, posebno bih istakla FENOMENALNE domaćine na čelu sa Lucijom. 💜 Učinili su sve da se osećamo kao kod svojih bliskih rođaka i da nam baš zbog toga bude krivo što nismo duže ostali na Velikom Drveniku.
Sigurno ćemo se ponovo vratiti! 😍
