Restaurant Kul IN Ablana

A wonderful experience with standout meals, service and atmosphere. We visited the restaurant three times during our stay, and tried multiple dishes from the menu. The selection of the ingredients (there are local cheeses, sausages, hams etc. too) and how the meals were made were excellent. The staff is lovely, and the surroundings with the sea view make the experience whole. Bonus point for craft beer on the menu. Highly recommended.

Usluga jako dobra. Hrana je došla u kratkom roku. Porcije velike i hrana je ukusna. Preporuka!

Krasan ambient, ljubazno osoblje. Kolači odlični. Preporučam.

Absolutely disappointing experience.

The service was really slow. It’s normal to wait for the food if it’s freshly prepared, but this was not usual waiting time. I wasn’t timing but we waited a long time to get our starter. And the place was almost empty.

Tartare was very good, maybe could’ve been more seasoned but it was really nice.

But then we waited for 25 minutes to receive the main dish.
And finally our food arrived lukewarm, almost cold.

Ordered small seasonal salad and few leaves were brown/rotten on the edges.

Regarding meat - Everything was bland. How is it possible that you serve aged beef and it’s tasteless? Basic PIK Vrbovec beef is more flavourful.
Not that it needed spice or salt, no, the meat is virtually tasteless.
And it was a bit over cooked. First few pieces were well done when it should’ve been medium rare. Nobody asked us how we would like it.
The lamb also… it also needed basic salt.
And again - relatively cold (warm) roasted food is unacceptable.

Potatoes from Lika were tasty, puréed sweet potatoes were delicious.

The plating was decent. The view was also nice.

Overall, not a great experience, probably will not return or recommend to friends.

I don’t mind paying for good meals, but sadly this was a waste of money.

The food and service leave much to be desired.

Razočaravajuće, loše iskustvo u prekrasno renoviranom hotelu Ablana. Recenzija nije na prvu, tri večeri u tjedan dana bile su osnova za ocjenu. Dvije zvijezdice su samo zbog ljubazne, simpatične, mlade konobarice i prelijepe terase s pogledom. Iako je terasa bila poluprazna, hrana je servirana nakon sat i pol. Hrana finog okusa ali potpuno mlaka, neke porcije hladne. Treću večer količina krumpirića uz hamburger bila je upola manja. Desert, torta od sira zaleđena, nejestiva. Jako mi je žao ove loše recenzije.

Velika šteta da ovakav restoran nema nikakvu kontrolu . Dva sata čekanja do posluživanja zaboravljenog jela je definitivno nedopustivo . Hamburgeri stigli hladni , torta od sira potpuno smrznuta .Dali smo šansu par puta za početničke greške no nikakav pomak . Puno uloženo u uređenje ali bez malo kontrole neće dugo opstati . Toalet prljav .

Il posto sicuramente è bello , hotel ristrutturato ma in modo sbagliato ! Puzza di fogna (non esistono sifoni sotto agli scarichi ) cibo ha prezzi esagerati (si mantiene in linea con i due ristoranti del paese ) pesce fresco non esiste (pur avendo il mare !) se vi piace mangiare cambiate zona e sono stato buono. (Mi sono limitato a commentare solo il ristorante, la stanza la commento su Booking)

Dosli smo na rucak. Od narudzbe do izbacivanja hrane iz kuhinje proslo je sat vremena, za vrlo jednostavna jela- hamburger i tortilje. S time da hrana za cijeli stol nije izbacena u isto vrijeme. Nakon sat vremena cekanja hrana je na stol dosla hladna. Hamburger peciva su bila hladna, meso mlako i ispeceno medium, iako je naruceno well. Tortilja je bila kompletno hladna, iako je zavrsna obrada tostiranje tortilje .
Za desert smo narucili mouse. Jedan je bio pokvaren, a drugi premekane konzistencije.
Sve u svemu vrlo lose iskustvo, hrana niti prosjecna i neiskusno osoblje.
