Very nice place as cozy place with very details set up. It is my first time in Croatia and they make me know more about here.
Staff is very caring as turn on fire place to keep us warm, spend a lot of time to explain culture and food.
Lucky me invited my the owner with big smile to walk through their kitchen. CLEAN place and professional chef they have !!!

Great food, great location. Waiter was very polite. A little bit on the pricey side but every meal was prepaired as it should be.
Desserts were out of this world how good they were.

The must visit place for slow food and wine. Rustic ambient and superb staff will tend to your every need. Each meal is accompanied by wine to supplement the taste. Now this is the fanciest place in the region I have been to so far. Food is very expensive so don't get here if your goal is to get a cheap meal. But man, food they offer, the ambient, service and staff is perfect. There is not a lot of parking space but it's not like bunch of people come here. Experience was superb, we felt like bunch of aristocrats. At the entrance there was a waiter, already waiting for us. He opened a door for us and escorted us to our table even though we didn't took any reservations. Through the whole time staff was very polite and professional. And when we were finished, they escorted us to the door. Like I said, this is the closest you will feel like celebrity as a mere mortal. But the best part here is ambient. The interior is perfect, at least for my taste. The lighting was on point, the furniture also, music, well everything. I would recommend this place for that special someone in your life. Perfect place for anniversaries or meetings with people which you seriously want to impress. Or if you want spend money on yourself. Just go here, order a bottle of wine and enjoy your stay.

After an excellent holiday each year, we finally stopped in front of the border with Slovenia in a small but beautiful restaurant Mala Hiza. We went around it for five years and it was a mistake. Fantastic family lunch before continuing the trip to Slovakia. Amazing staff who enhanced our holiday experience on the way home. Please all ... stop here you will not regret it ... once again thank you family Pernicova and Kvalova

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. We have come many times and it’s always fabulous. Make reservations in advance because they get booked up quickly.

Very nice place and perfect food....

Very nice ambient and big parking. Great entree, soups and good desert. Steak was exquisite and mushroom side even better. Extremely fresh salad but had touch too much vinaigrette. Very expensive but worth it.

The food here tastes like it was made by Gordon Ramsey. The waiter are polite and nice. The setting is very relaxing, and i like the little bridge they have. This is the perfect place for stuff like marriges, as the food is pretty pricey.

Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic service, food is most delicious I tried anywhere, only prices are little bit too hight but that kind of quality always costs.

Lovely exterior & interior, exquisite and tasty food, excellent service

Food full of flavour made with visibly fresh ingredients. The ambient was gorgeously cosy – interior, candles, fireplace, quiet music in the background. I don’t think we’ve ever been to a nicer restoraunt when it comes to that. Their staff lady was the kindest hospitality employee we have ever encountered. However, even though their menu is traditional and unique, dishes are a bit pricey, so I’d recommend this place for special events or when you feel like dining somewhere fancy.

Great food, service, ambiance. Not expensive. Every time i come the food is fantastic. The staff is very kind which is not the case in all restaurants in Croatia. Every time i come to Croatia i have to go to Mala Hiža. I will recommend to all mine German friends.

The best restaurant in continental Croatia

Really nice place, wonderfully decorated in rustic style, with excellent food. Probably little bit overpriced, but it is not easy to keep high standard nowadays.
If you are turist visiting Croatia, it is worthwhile to slightly detour from your way to Adriatic coast, and have nice meal. Especialy if you appreciate good cuisine:)
