Villa Ella

Breathtaking
We have just returned from a glorious week at Villa Ella.
We are a family of 11 plus two babies.
Anne Myriam was wonderful. She welcomed us when we arrived on the ferry and took us to the most beautiful villa with a breathtaking view.
The quality of everything in the villa was above all our expectations.
Everything about the villa was so thoughtful and personal.
Anne Myriam was always available to help us.
We loved the pool and the ping pong competitions.
We hardly had to leave the villa because there is an outdoor kitchen where we barbecued.
The quiet, family friendly beach is not far from the villa.
But I do recommend hiring a car.
Everything about the villa and the island is beautiful, calm and peaceful.
We can’t wait to return.

We have stayed in many villas and holiday homes over the years and Villa Ella is definitely up there as one of the best - it is a beautiful property, in an absolutely stunning location!

We were a party of two families with older teenage/young adult children and Villa Ella suited us perfectly. It is spacious and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need (including two huge fridges, perfect for keeping the beer chilled!). We really appreciated the flexibility of the bedrooms: three can be configured as doubles or twins and the other two have single beds with another single pull out bed underneath, which were plenty big enough for the teens.

There is masses of outdoor space, so everyone was able to be as sociable or as chilled out as they preferred. The pool, boules pitch and table tennis table saw plenty of action, and we cooked up some amazing BBQs in the outdoor kitchen (recommend using charcoal briquettes as the wood burns super quickly).

We have been to the area before, so didn't do any day trips to Dubrovnik or the other islands this time, though would definitely recommend them if you can drag yourself away from the terrace! We did go down to the local beach a few times and also went to Sipanska Luka and hired kayaks from Huck Finn (be warned - the dry bags turned out not to be so dry).

We found Ann Myriam to be a charming, efficient and patient owner/host. The booking process was straightforward (we booked directly through their website) and Ann Myriam (and Romana) were very responsive, patiently answering my many questions! Whilst we were there, Ann Myriam was attentive and helpful, never intrusive.

I would recommend bringing a car over, and doing a big shop at the supermarket near the Dubrovnik ferry port before catching the ferry, as the two grocery shops on the island are very small. They carry a small selection of the basics, but don't stock much in the way of fresh produce, especially meat. Also, whilst we enjoyed the walk to the beach (20-25 mins, uphill most of the way back), little legs may not enjoy it quite so much. And if you want to go to the other end of the island regularly, having your own transport gives much more flexibility.

I would highly recommend a stay at Villa Ella - we had an amazing time and it was the perfect place to relax before moving on to a week of mad activity in Montenegro. Thank you so much Ann Myriam and all your team, and we really hope to visit again at some point.

We have just had the most wonderful time at Villa Ella on the island of Sipan. We were 6 of us, who luckily enjoy working together and our stay was really a joy.

Ann Myriam took endless trouble to help our time on Sipan. Nothing was too much, and she can make anything happen from a boat to take you anywhere, to organising an amazing barbecue, or helping you learn the history of the area,of which she is a true expert.

The views from the Villa are quite simply as beautiful as you could ever dream of.

Villa Ella itself has had a lot of trouble taken in its restoration.This is a major achievement as it is in a very rural setting well above the verdant plain of Sipan.

It is spotlessly clean and has an excellent kitchen and sitting room, as well as 2 beautiful outside seating areas, to choose from depending on the sun position!
The pool is set in a wonderful position and the air conditioning inside Villa Ella a joy in the heat of July.

The setting was so stunning that it had us all purring from our first glimpse right through to the momment of leaving.

I cannot recommend Villa Ella or Ann Myriam more highly.

Wunderschöne Villa in ruhiger Lage. Alles top sauber, Vermieter sehr hilfreich und freundlich, haben uns sogar mit einheimischen Spezialitäten wie Öl, Gemüse versorgt. Super für Familienurlaub mit zahlreichen Möglichkeiten wie großem Pool, Tischtennis, Bocca und Radfahrtouren. Tolle Joggingstrecken.
Beide Ortschaften auf der Insel sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar mit tollem Ambiente und guten Restaurants.
Wer entspannten Familienurlaub in der Natur sucht ist hier genau richtig.
