J'ai également reçu une lettre de la part de M. Kuzmanovic me réclamant 169 € pour une amende de 10,50 € soit disant impayées à la police de Pula. Je l'avais payé dans la semaine mais je n'ai pas mis le numéro de référence, d'où la confusion. Après deux échanges de mails rapides avec sa collaboratrice, le montant m' été remboursé. Excellent travail.

A week ago I received a written notification before the lawsuit from Marko Kuzmanovic and his office. The parking ticket was from Makarska back in 2019.
They are demanding 90€ payment !
(10€ for the parking ticket itself and 80€ for their expenses!).
I checked directly with the Municipality of Makarska and ask to make the payment directly to them but they declined and approved the lawyer's method and the huge costs.
The lawyer is a legal loan shark.
It is a disgrace for the city of Makarska and Croatia.

He seems to have a colleague (or shall I say accomplice?), at the very same address in Pula, called Shain Lou Pacheco Vinković. Same extortion techniques.

Advise - don't pay a cent beyond the original fine!!!

They will threaten you, pump up their fictitious "costs", but stay firm and only pay the original fine and nothing more. They will give up if you are persistent enough. Don't be intimidated by their threats in legalistic language.

As an anecdote - this Kuzmanovic-Kuzmanović dubious law practice is allegedly, according to the Croatian press (use Google Translate), under police investigation for fraud involving parking tickets.

!!! PARKING TICKET FRAUD !!! Do not pay any amount of money to the lawyer! Contact the company that issued a parking ticket directly and pay directly to them the amount of parking ticket. Deny all lawyers expenses, because they are unjustified.

That was my last visit to Croatia. Dirty beaches, tourist trap everywhere, parking tickets agains tourists, this country will never change.....
