Everything was great, I learned kitesurfing and son windsurfing.
Both had a great time and will be back next year.
The instructors are friendly, skilled and fun and so is the rest of the crew.
Also the price is good compared to some other options we were considering.

Great place to learn windsurfing or kiting. Friendly staff, experienced instructors. We spent 8 unforgettable days with them! We are already thinking about continuing training next year!

The best kite school I was experienced. Extremely calm and professional instructors, great approach to train from deep water which allows to start riding just from fist attempts and also safe as no one nearby. Really cool to be with the team 🤙🏻

Best holidays ever!
Pelješac is a magical place and staying at Water Donkey is the cherry on top!
The staff is very nice, the equipment to rent is fine and there is lots to chose from (RRD from beginner to slalom boards and freeride sails).
The apartments are really nice and clean.
People there are really chill and the vibes are good all around!

I recommend to book the course with a curriculum in mind. It is hard to gather people at similar levels in a group. It is very likely that the group will be mixed so you need to ask to the trainer specifically to teach you x,y,z.
You can also book a private lesson, focus on the learning part during the lesson and then practice by yourself in the next days.

Best point in region for windsurf, kite, suping and wingfoil!

Dream spot in a cute little village where everything is organized around watersports. Wind every day due thermal wind. Renata and Alex run the school with passion, organize everything including accomodation in nearby houses and bikes. There are also great walks and climbing in mountains 15 mns away with Ghost Town of Nakovana and even a cave with old Illyrian temple.
Group lessons have max of 3 students, wiich in my experience is a perfect balance as you get a bit of rest time before trying again. No lost time inflating or struggling upwind as everything is ready onboard and the boat follows you. Wing foil and windsurf also available.
Overall this experience is a great combination of kite culture and this European magic where all nationalities mix around their passion. In a couple days you make many new friends and soon share a beer in nearby seafront restaurant after a busy day.
My best experience of kite school ever.

I can only join the many happy reviewers. In short, our time with Water Donkey Team was fantastic. These guys are THE school to go for oh so many reasons! :)

1. Firstly, the team - we were lucky to train under the guidance of the immensely patient, helping and friendly instructor Jaka (who is also an actual real-life professional kitesurfer!) and smiling and super positive Vedran at the steer of the boat.

Guys, if you read this - you're the best :D

2. Radio: the constant radio guidance, tips, comments are what without a doubt hepled my progress. The connection was good for me almost all the time. In comparison to other schools where the instructor has to shout or only give tips when close by, this method allows immediate feedback (like, Jaka saying "NOW drive the kite more). Such an approach is so much more effective.

3. Organisation: even though we came rather off-season (second week of September), which meant unpredictable conditions, thanks to the flexible setup at Water Donkey we were able to use all available wind whenever there was any.

At the end if the day, the results speak for themselves: i came to Viganj barely able to waterstart and go downwind. A week and a total of 4.5 hours of traning later, I can confidentely go upwind, do transitions most of time, and for the final even managed to do a fronside-kiteloop transition (or something like that 😀).

Highly recommended if you want to pick up or improve your windsurfing, kitesurfing or wind foiling skills.

Renata and Aleš run a tight ship - well organized, great gear and most importantly a very professional team.

Great experience. My trainer Alesh speaks few languages it makes the lessons more comfortable. I made the 12 hours course and in 8th hour I was already riding kitesurfing. Administration made my accommodation just perfect. Location is amazing. So highly recommended.

Wonderful place to learn windsurfing! I did the beginner’s course and, as a complete beginner, the teachers were really reassuring and attentive, adding skills as my experience and confidence grew. The staff are relaxed and friendly, and the spot is incredibly beautiful - I would definitely recommend it!

We booked for a taster session windsurfing last minute whilst on a week away. Other people commented on communications from these guys, but I have to say Renata was Fab! Never waited for more than ten minutes for an email response. Our options were presented clearly and our booking acknowledged.
Our instructors were highly professional, very patient and very knowledgeable.
Unfortunately we had to abandon our first attempt due to the feeble wind. Again, instructors were very helpful in letting us know what we could do.
Unfortunately one of our party had to fly home, but two of us returned later in the week to finish our lesson and had a great time. Stick refresher on the theory then a go on the sea. Great time. Thanks guys. Professional outfit!

Thank you so much for such an awesome time! We had only planned on visiting for a week and ended up staying for 5 weeks. The team were super helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay in Viganj one to remember. The weeks course was perfect for beginners and Alesh is a passionate teacher, who is always giving you the best coaching to progress. Thank you Renata, Alesh and the rest of the team! Water Donkey s the best! Their center is really nice to visit from all perspectives. The instructors and the team is great! They are really proffesinal, helpful and friendly. The place at the beach is great also for chill and relaxing before and after the sessions on the beanbags in the sun or in the hammock in the shadow. They have all new and quality equipment. Viganj has perfect conditions for beginners and also proffesionals :) Since the first time there, we took beginners and advanced windsurf class and we are now returning twice a year. Strongly recommended :)

Viganj is paradise on Earth for anyone who loves watersports and Water Donkey is THE place to learn kiteboarding and windsurfing. Amazing team, professional and friendly at the same time. Great organization, patient dedicated instructors and lots of quality equipment to rent.
