Saint Mary's Island

This is a beautiful island within the Mljet National Park which is a must-visit for those spending a few days on Mljet. Unfortunately, we only had a few hours to enjoy this beautiful place. It would be nice to spend a longer time there, as the sea is so nice to swim in, and there's a beautiful chapel and monastery to visit. There's also a restaurant for meals and drinks. Overall, I love the place for it's a great place for photography.

Mljet is a paradise that is definitely a place to visit and recharge your battery. Keep the island clean for the next generation. The best way to experience the island is by bike.

Amazing food at Melita restaurant which is on the island. If you call ahead you can get a transfer to the island. My recommendation would definitely be the octopus salad, nice and refreshing...

The perl of national park Mljet, island is really nice. Boats are punctual. Water is amazing and there is a lot of shade to hide from sun in pick hours. You can also visit churches if you like.

Do the round of lakes with bikes. It’s not difficult. Only two or three section that you will walk if you are not in « good shape » and go to Soline to see the sea view

Beautiful lakes. Great swimming. Lovely walk around the Monastery , amazing cycling around the lakes too. So much to do!

Beautiful place you simply must visit if you are on Mljet island. The monastery is currently closed for renovations.

Beautiful place to visit in Mljet NP. Free ferry to the island included in park entrance ticket. Of course there’s the church and other old monastery buildings, but there’s also a good cafe to tide you over until the next boat.

Interesting romans architecture

Lovely little island in the middle of the lake with a monastery, church, café and even donkey stables. If you cycle half way round the lake, you can get a free taxi to the island by waving a red flag (really!) Definitely worth the visit if you're passing and in need of a cold drink or an ice cream.
