Camp Mandarino

It was so perfect. And I need to mention Jana from the reception. She was the kindest girl I've ever seen in hospitality. You could see on her she loves her job.
I went there with my fiance and we enjoy every minute of it. There is free drinking water in the whole camping. Also there are free fridges and freezer you can use which is a big big thumbs up 👍 👌

Wonderful camp, calm and peaceful, in a beautiful location. Clean and well-managed. Last, but definitely not the least, extremely helpful, forthcoming and kind staff. The only thing I'd change, as a vegan, is some vegan options in the camp restaurant, in 2023 it really isn't that difficult. Other than that, I'll happily be recommending this camp to everyone, and I'm certainly coming back.

We have been to this excellent site five times now over the last 8 years, most recently in July 2023. It has been expanded to provide more pitches and a new shower block. The facilities are excellent and of very high quality.

Pitches mostly have shade and are fairly level despite being on a steep slope. (Terraces). However if you have a large vehicle, you may test your driving skills getting on and off the pitch.

The staff are first class and exceptionally welcoming. Very happy to advise on trips and activities. The shop is well stocked, if a little pricey, we recommend stopping at a supermarket in Zadar and stocking up before taking the ferry!

The restaurant on site is very good with a reasonably broad menu to suit all tastes. You can even have breakfast there! The ice cream is stunning and cheaper than many cafes.

Access to the sea is easy and there are canoes and paddle boards to hire. We hired bikes one day and their electric car another. The e-bikes needed a little TLC but the car and conventional bikes were excellent.

If you like snorkelling there is excellent sea-life to be found a short swim from the site, and amazingly there are two wrecks in the bay which are an easy swim from the beach. These are slowly deteriorating but still fascinating to view. The beach is stony/ shingle (imported) and the owners have built a series of short promontories to provide instant deep water if you want to jump in!

Overall a brilliant site and difficult to fault the service or facilities.

We came by boat to eat in the restaurant. As soon as we cake closer it became clear to us that this is really nice spot to eat. It is literally a few meters away from the water. The food was delicious. You can’t go wrong with pizza. Irina was very helpful and nice. The kitchen is not open between 15-17 but we were able to order still at 15.00. They messed our order up but then they made us new pizza so it was all good. Must visit restaurant in Dugi otok.

Great camp on a beautiful island. Quiet and peaceful place. Well equipped parcels with electricity and water. Nice restaurant on the beach. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

A layed back campers paradise on the north tip of Dugi Ôtok. Very clean campsite, spacious pitches arranged in terrace style, so you always get o view on the lovely bay- a lot of pine trees give shadow, top. Very clean sea water, perfect for Swimming and snorkelling. Beach and water easy to access.
Very helpful and friendly staff.
Small grocery store and Restaurant included, everything you need. Boat and kayak rental service. Free power and water supply.
Bathrooms and facilities in top shape.

The spot is ideal for the ones looking to relax and and taking it easy- no party place which is good. Stayed there in September 2022 - air and water temperatures very comfortable.

The ones with huge campervans- be advised that space to maneuver is limited- choose your spot wisely.
With car or bus, no worries.

Only praise for this campsite!!!
The camping is located at a beautiful bay with a little shipwreck, making it fun for snorkling and seeing some nice fishes.

The plot gave us plenty of shade and privacy, modern and clean sanitary, fridges to use and a nice restaurant with decent food and amazing icecream. You have to try the icecream!

We also rented a kayak with them and kayaked up to the michelle shipwreck for some splendid snorkeling. It took us 5h out and back on a sunny day with no wind. Totally doable if the conditions allow for it and you have a decent fitness level. It is a stretch nevertheless (10km round trip). If you can, make it a day trip :)

The place we had was close to the sea and in a great shadow.
Restaurant is romantic, good and food is extra extra good. Ice cream also :)

Excellent Toilets and showers, very clean.
The Restaurant has a lot of great food and drinks for decent prices.
Aldo the bay is a very pretty place to swim.
Call before you go to the island, theres very little space in high season!

So nice, so clean and so so romantic. This is one of the best travel experiences in my life.
Personal is polite, professional, everything is well maintained, flowers are amazing and threes are big enaugh to have nice shadow.
You can put your boat on privat mouring, car on the parking lot, let your kids play and enjoy vacation. Store is well equipped and in the restaurant we had pizza and fish and it was delicious. I would recommend this place to every body! :)

We have picked this place a few days ago as our "lunchtime restaurant". It was close to our house (just a few minutes drive), so we took a shot at it.
And it was a very good one. First of all - don't be put back by restaurant's location. It's basically in the middle of campers' site - a bunch of camper vans are not really screaming "you can expect quality food here".
But all of those early assumptions are wrong! The staff is exceptionally friendly, speak fluent English, are good with jokes and know the menu. Downside: no strong sippers on menu (whiskey, cognac or brandy).
Every day we have tried different dishes on the menu: pizzas (OMG they are SO Italian and great!), flank steak with pepper sauce, shark steak (yes, real shark steak) and more.
Everything was cooked to perfection, served with perfection and prices are really good.
Oh, by the way: restaurant has seaview from any seating place and its own little beach in front.

Amazing place in a nice creek. The restaurant is absolutely lovely, view is just must see and we spent very good time here. I will definitely come back and recommend everyone to visit and chill here;)

Cool location, calm place, good restaurant, helpful staff, nice beach. Small minus points for expensive shop where the selection of fresh vegetable/fruits could be wider. Thanks for great 2 weeks!

Probably the best coffee at Dugi Otok! As coffee lovers we tried multiple cafe’s in Croatia. Most don’t really have proper baristas, good beans or simply don’t care about making descent late coffee. A the cafe from Camp Mandarino we had awesome views over the beautiful bay with crystal blue water and lovely coffee. Best of both worlds. Can definitely recommend others to give It a try. We had flat white and ice cafe.

Great Place and Restaurant! I hope that they didnt grow much bigger and keep that tiny atmosphere alive. Great for Sup touring. But be aware of an old slovakian couple which has obviousley some problems to discuss until 3 in the morning. And he is also pissing on his camp site, farting and so on. It seems that there 80000 euro camper has no toilette and no psychiatric on board....

Wonderful and cozy camping. Staff was very helpful and bathrooms superclean. restaurant and grocery store were really good too.

Great place in Croatia to visit. Camp Mandarino**** is clean, very well equipped and organized camp in a beautiful bay. Be aware that you need 3 pin adapter for your 230 cables or you can borrow one at the camp for 15 Kuna/day. Most of the pits have also enough shadow during the day. There is a restaurant in the camp which is OK. I would recommend to visit nearby Verunic for a nice dinner in Gorgonia grill.

The location of the camping site is amazing in a beautiful bay. The staff is really helpful and the facilities are great. Visiting in august the camp was really crowded so expect a small place and not much privacy.

Small, clean, peaceful and well maintained. Good for families. Nice beach with easy access to the sea. Clean beautiful water and lots of wilderness all around. Friendly and helpfull staff.
