History and heritage on each step witness the ongoing struggle for survival between the Republic of Venice ( as official authority ) and Ottoman menace. Interactive and educational. It's great place to visit in Dalmacia. Realy good interactive materials and they even have their own documentary in Croatian. You mst visit the place!

A really good museum!
It must be hard to represent Alka, with its so many layers - historical, traditional, local, competitive, national pride, manly ... this museum uses all possible methods to bring it close to the visitor. A short video, interactive displays - you can take as much or as little as you want from each component.
And probably the best souvenir shop i have found in Croatia!

Modern museum.
Here you can learn a lot of historical informations about Sinj and local area.
Very educative. For better understanding of battle agains Osmans you can play simulation game.
Also, you can buy a lot of souvenirs inside.
The only bad thing is that the museum closes when tourist season ends.

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Cetina region in town Sinj.
It shows a lot of history of this area from a turmoil part of its history.
The staff was scarce because of covid, but the ones that were there were kind and approachable.
The gift shop was also well stocked and the prices of some items were more decent than in some gift shops.
I'd highly recommend it to anyone who has any interest in history especially post medieval times.

The museum is built in accordance with the best world standards. It perfectly depicts the past and present of Alka — which is more than just a game.
Many layout solutions are not only pleasing to the eye but also interesting.
The museum is also adapted for children (themed games for playing on monitors).
The staff is extremely friendly and always available.
The souvenir shop offers authentic, diverse gift products.

Not well known but well worth a visit. Sinj is a lovely town & this museum is first class containing life size models of knights on horseback. It commemorates the victory over the Ottomans
Come on first weekend of August to witness their descendants!

One of the best museums I visited. Informative, fun, interactive, educational. Would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to learn about local history. You need one hour for the visit. I recommend to hire a guide. It is worth it.

a very interesting museum where one can get to know the history of the famous knight's game Alka, which took place in Sinj for 300 years. In spite of all the troubles and turbulent history, the proud people of Sinj remained true to their Alka and also to the memory of Our Lady of Sinj who helped liberate Sinj from the invasion of the Turks.
