Majerovo vrilo

An amazing place for etno tourists and nature lovers, the river Gacka is really something else.

Nice nature small place to experience source of river Gacka. There is 3 places in total all nearby. There are wooden benches for relaxing and enjoying sound of river passing. There is possible to picnic there. If you like home made products you can buy in one of the houses honney, souvenires and various types of flour that is made there by watermills. Place is nice stop for quick turnaround and a walk. If you had it for the day therr is a coffe place within short walking distance, ice cream place and 5 minute drive away there is bistro.

Spring and river ontop of which there are old mills. You can walk around it in a few minutes. Easy approach. Two restaurants nearby and a local produce shop. Get yourself local flour, its amazing.

A peaceful place in the middle of nowhere, where river Gacka has its begin. You can see few of old mills and purchase different types of flour. There are also few picnic tables, wooden paths between the mills. The water is so cool that in a hot day you can refresh at least your feet 😉

It was such a peaceful and refreshing place to visit on a hot summer day! Water from the source of the Gacka river kept us chilled for some time after😀 no mills were working when we got there, but one family farm shop was open

Really interesting place where wheat used to be milled... The river starts at this point, with bubbles and cold water coming to the surface.
Support the locals selling flour and honey.

If it's not too busy pack a Picknick and sit at the source otherwise there are 2 restaurant areas to visit.

I was surprised how beautiful somewhere can be, this place exudes the breath of fresh nature, fresh air, a nearby river, people are very kind.

Very calm and peacefull. Water stays cold even in the middle of the summer so it's amazing to come close to the sourced just to cool down in hot summer days. It's next to Ruspante which might be the best pizza place in Croatia

Beautiful place. Good for visit with children.

Great place. The mill is authentic, the river azure blue with small waterfalls which give power to the mill. The ambient Is picturesque. You can buy fresh milled flour at the place. Cool souvenir. And nearby are restaurants where you can eat local trout. Beautiful place, kind people.

Just great man-in-nature and heritage sight. Pizza place near by is one of the best in Croatia. Do pre-book a table.

Great location but be prepared for the dust and tricky parking if you're going by car. From seaside 6.5 km of gravel and from Lika around 12 km.
