Hotel Degenija

Excellent boutique hotel. The rooms are nice and well equipped with all basic amenities. The service is great. They have a very nice bar/restaurant with great views in the area and the overall feel of the property is very nice and welcoming. They have ample parking available. The location is perfect with a quick drive to the Plitvice National Park entrance. Highly recommend.

Very close to the park. The young lady at the reception was extremely friendly and helpful giving us recommendations of the restaurant near by which turned out to be very very good. The complimentary plum brandy at the lobby was another pleasant surprise for us to enjoy and after dinner and helpful for my sleep tonight.

We really had a great stay, Katarina welcomed us and give us all the information we needed without us asking, and gave us advices for the Plitvice National Park which made everything easier for us the next day. She recommended the hotel restaurant and it was our best favorite dinner in Croatia, very affordable and good quality. The staff is very kind. Thank you for everything !

What’s gem! The location is perfect, outside the hustle and bustle with picturesque views of the surrounding area. The staff is kind and helpful, from the front desk to the drivers, five star treatment from all. The hotel has little sections of seating to invite you to enjoy every corner of the estate, inside and out. The rooms are airy and open, the beds are comfy. The bathroom was pristine and the shower was amazing after a long day hiking. And the food… oh my. Do yourself a favor and make sure to order the potato soup. Every last bite was delicious. Love this hotel and would highly recommend it to everyone who asks.

The hotel is in an optimal location!
The staff is very welcoming, gave us immediately upon our arrival excellent tips and advises regarding the park!
Breakfast was OK, the room are clean, we took a room with Jacuzzi, but the downside of it is that there is no view from the room and you have some people on the swimming pool who might have nice view into your room…
The adjacent restaurant was excellent!!!

It sounds like the dining experience near Plitvice National Park was truly delightful, especially with the variety of vegetarian options and the satisfying food. There are 2 restaurants here however, we ate in the Italian restaurant and the presence of a big kids' play area in the premises makes it a great option for families with younger children, providing a nice way to unwind after a day at Plitvice. Combining good food, beautiful surroundings, and family-friendly amenities certainly makes for a memorable evening.

We had an excellent stay at this lovely, clean hotel situated minutes from the park. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the restaurant was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the pool was perfect on a hot day. Highly recommend!

Hotel Degenija is a wonderful hotel in the Plitvive Lakes area. The rooms are a decent size and were very clean. The front desk staff were really nice and can answer any question you may have. The hotel is only 8km from entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes National Park, so very convenient and you definitely don't want to miss going to the park. Breakfast at the hotel is good. It's a buffet with a good selection of things to start your day. The cost is 10.50 euros per person. They have 2 restaurants. One in the main hotel building and one next door. Both are really good. This hotel is definitely worth staying at when visiting Plitvice Lakes in Croatia.

Conveniently located just a short distance from Plitvice National Park, this wonderful little hotel offers quality rooms, at a reasonable price, given the location.
Staff members are very friendly and helpful with directions about local attractions.
There are food options available at the hotel, and these are reasonably priced too.

Cleanest hotel…. Inside and outside. Staff is helpful, friendly and even humorous. Denis, Marco, Mari, Dan, Ivan, etc have been more than accommodating. Breakfast is great and every meal at restaurant is outstanding. I am coming back next week again on my travels from Texas. It’s that great!

Great outdoor swimmingpool were you can order a drink while you're relaxing. Nice room and friendly, helpful staff.

Exceeded expectations, super clean charming boutique hotel with 2 good restaurants on site, excellent service, lovely views from restaurant of pool and garden and 5km from park entrance. We wished we had one more night here and the lake was worth it, what a gem!

we had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Degenija...our room was spacious comfortable with lovely views out over the swimming pool and countryside. All the staff were excellent so very friendly and had lots of good advice and suggestions for our trips out always happy to help or chat.
Both of the restaurants on site gave excellent service and the food was very good including the poolside service.
Everything was very clean.
We were very well placed for our two day trips to Plitvice National Park which is a truly beautiful amazing place...just a 10 min drive away.
Also being able to hire bikes for a day from you was an unexpected bonus.
A huge thank you to all of your wonderful staff who made us feel very welcome.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Degenija for 1 night in September. Would I recommend this hotel to a friend? Yes. Would I stay here again knowing what I know? Yes.

We stayed here so we could hit Plitvice Lakes National Park when it opened at 7:00am. The room was OK. The staff was very helpful. Staying at the hotel also allows you to make a reservation at the Degenija Restaurant. It is 5 km from Gate 1 of the park.

By far the nicest hotel near Plitvace Lakes National Park. Their top restaurant provides excellent breakfasts and dinners

We've had a very good breakfast here, food is good quality, tasty omlette and a lot more. Coffee okayish, a bit too bitter, but it isn't such a problem. Staff is friendly, nice garden outside with a small playground, so also fit for families! You can also rent bikes and do a bike trail, all marked on a bike map, they have everything you need, even baby bike seat.
