Very hard to find, but well worth the trouble!
Staff is very polite and patient, always smiling and ready to help.
The ambience is fantastic, right on the beach.
And food...OMG! I would eat their black risotto all day every day! Fish is also very good.
10/10 recommend!

The reviews for this place are spot on! We walked up and were lucky enough to have an open table for 2! We were seated right away and the ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner right on the water. Every single one of the staff were so friendly and the amount of food we got for the money we spent was great! The quality of the food and how everything was prepared was excellent. Even down to the bread and homemade olive oil- everything was perfect. Can’t recommend this place enough! 5 stars is not enough for this wonderful restaurant.

If I could give 10 stars, I'd give 20. Food, atmosphere, and service were exceptional.

Fish platter for 2 for starter, and main, plus a dessert and couple of drinks including coca cola, gin tonic, bottles of water and a liter of Homemade Wine, yes you heard right, homemade wine for just a bit over 100 euros!

Probably the best place on the Mljet. Family owned, they are so kind and helpful; I had a problem with car tire, they really helped me in no time. Waitress is so kind and helpful. Now location and the food. Location is just perfect, so quiet, calm, it reflects on the guests too, so no one is loud, everyone is almost whispering here. The view at the small bay is beautiful, yachts parked all over the bay, floating calmly (yeah, you need a nice weather for this experience:) ). We had a fish platter for 2, freshly caught fish, perfect taste, their travarica (grappa with herbs) and their wine are good, I simply can't find any flaw here. The pricing is ok for the experience you get. After 01.09. they work only from 18:00, keep that in mind. Top notch restaurant. Simple and to the point.
Update: September 2023, working hours are not from 18:00 like last year, they are open all day.

Excellent food with a remarkable view. For vine lovers, there is a homemade vine that adds additional value to the whole experience. I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy the unique beauty of Mljet and its tranquility 😀

You can moor up right outside. Fabulous food, great local wine and perfect service. A very peaceful lunchtime.

We happened to find this place when looking for a beach in Polace! THE BEST RESTAURANT in Polace oh my goodness the iced coffees and grilled squid are fantastic. We sunbathed outside the Konoba all day. Definitely escape the more touristy front and come for delicious well priced food here!

Probably the best restaurant on whole Mljet island. Fresh, domestic and delicious food. Great view, nice ambient near the sea and great service. Warmly recommend it!

Lovely place, very good food (fresh fish and black risotto) and kind waitress. Not that expensive for the quality (vs. other comments and rest of the island). Count 30euros per person. Definitely recommend

Lovely little gem! Service was great, food delicious and generous portions while the bill was much cheaper than all our other restaurant visits at similar places. Beautiful location, we anchored right outside in the calm bay.

Even though the restaurant is next to the sea, it is not accessible by beach patio; you can enter by using the stairs of the accommodation just above it (you can also park your car there).

Fantastic place, the food is delicious! We ate there many times and tried fish as well as lamb. Everything is fresh and very tasty. The service is friendly and very professional. The view and the atmoshere is amazing too.

A classic Mediterranean gem, still I un spoilt by so many of us visitors!
What a really lovely evening we had here. A gorgeous family run restaurant that rents out room too. The food is fantastic, a fresh sea bass cooked on the open grill, black risotto, pasta for our son, delicious vegetarian platter, and super tasty, light apple cake. Their own white wine is great, the red is strong stuff!
Atmosphere was lovely on the edge of the bay 5 mins walk from the rest of the village.
Staff (family) couldn’t have been kinder or more professional and all pitched in. They are the reason it all works so well.

Cash only - don’t forget! But it’s a lovely 5 minute walk to an ATM otherwise. 😉

Excellent family restaurant, with lots of products coming from their own 'garden'. (Wine, olive oil, goat cheese, vegetable....)
