MS Restaurant

From start to finish, hands down, one of the best culinary experiences we have had in Croatia! Our taste buds tingled with the fresh, warm bread enhanced with the locally distilled olive oil and salt flakes. Our first course of sheep cheese, smoked cheese with chives, and olives was to die for. Thinking it couldn’t get any better the succulent lamb shanks, tender swordfish, and sweet scampi brought us to food heaven. And to top off the evening, the crepes with chocolate and grilled fruit left our stomachs full with delight. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the excellent wait staff and the owner Mario who spent time and offered his recommendations which were spot on. We will be back!

Amazing restaurant with an insanely beautiful location unique spot, above the beach & between pine trees. On one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia, Mljet ( Saplunara ).Very polite & friendly staff along with fantastic food & drink.

Fantastic local seafood spot nestled into the hillside above a rare sandy beach. Upscaled, relaxed treehouse ambience. We came by boat and were able to use a mooring overnight. They had a little blue dingy to take us to and from shore.

Wow cannot even describe how much we all loved going to this restaurant! There were 7 of us, a lot of dietary requirements, and the team (especially Nicola) were just incredible! We ordered the meat of the day (wild boar), fish dish of the day (black risotto), a range of sides, and also some vegan dishes that the chefs made especially for our table. Everyone absolutely loved everything, agreeing it was the best meal we’d had of the holiday. Thank you so much for such a wonderful lunch!

Really unortodox place, location, kitchen. Everything is querky and in a good way. Food fresh, local, tasty,owner and team will go above and beyond to make iz memorable experience for you. Do not look for menu, just let go

We were reluctant to come here with the rating compared to other restaurants on the island. But today we had a delightful lunch here. Yes it’s expensive for Croatia - but honestly up there with the top 5 the freshest shellfish I’ve had in my life.

We ordered the sea urchin pasta, which for reference is a very large portion and enough for 2 people, it was very saucy and delicious. Then we had the mixed shellfish to share - it was so fresh. Additionally we ordered the bread which came with home made olive oil and sea salt collected from the sea, which was very complimentary to our meal. We also received very attentive service, and it would be unfair for us to rate it less than 5 stars.

One of the most authentic places ever been to. Goat cheese and local olive oil are signatures of this airy & cosy restaurant located at one of the most beautiful Adriatic beaches called Saplunara, on the precious Island of Mljet. Chef’s enthusiasm and creativity can be tasted in every bite. Highly recommending either for launch or dinner. Enjoy. 🌊✨🙏

The best seafood we have ever had in Croatia. Local chef and servants treat you as in home but with an elegance and politeness. We really do recommend the restaurant to everyone who is close by and need a place to dock for overnight.

If you don’t know what is excellent, than you will know what is slightly expensive.
Freshly catch tuna, on stake, only 15€ per meal.
Nice setup, wonderful ambient, grate service and high quality choice of local food and drinks.

One of those places where you can skip the menu for dinner and head to the counter to choose the freshly caught fish for you - expect to pay more for your journey through the genuine Dalmatian tastes paved with herbs, grilled vegetables and lots of olive oil.

A unique place with great view situated amongst the trees, overlooking a beautiful sandy beach. Staff was very pleasant, unobtrusive and professional. The food was exquisite. It is however around 40% more expensive than some other places we visited on nearby islands. Never the less money was well spent.

Food was spectacular, Prepared by the owner which is excellent chef. he’s name is Mario and it is a pleasure to watch him while he’s cooking. The place is outside under the pine trees, and perfectly match with nature around.

We had the tuna steak and it was just amazing. The service was great, waiter was really nice. They use local seasonal products so the entire menu is not available at all times, which we really appreciate because you know you’re getting top notch and fresh products! Definitely recommend eating here, it’s a bit pricy though.

Best restaurant in Saplunara, probably on Mljet Island. The owner Mario is an amazing host, always offers you the freshest of the freshest food, and he is so nice and jovial, checking on you if you are happy with the food. The staff is amazing! They are so friendly, and always making sure you have everything you want! I definitely recommend it if you are on this island ❤❤❤

Most incredible place for fresh seafood. We had the angler fish with white sauce, and they made a special hot sauce for us to go with it. This is the only place in Mljet that takes it cooking seriously. Loved our two meals here. The staff is very knowledgeable and Saplunara beach is a few steps down. Much better than Pomena and the tourist traps there.

The beach is clear, there are not many people. Sand is just like it should be. Today only two things are missing in perfection - Off the wind and warm water by 10 degrees Celsius

Free buoy was offered in combination with visiting the restaurant. Service was great and food was delicious. The selection on the menu was limited (off-season) and pricing was adequate.
They took us from the boot to the beach and back. We have enjoyed our stay. As per the seasonaility (off-season) it was not crowded and we felt comfortable.

Wonderful place. Very fresh and tasty seafood served by a friendly staff in a breath taking location.
