SPIRIT OF KORKYRA - Korčula Kayaking, Hiking and trail Running

If you ever visit the island of Korcula then I highly recommend that you do a kayak tour with Boris. I was fortunate to get a spot for the sunset tour and it was an amazing experience. Being in beautiful nature with a knowledgeable guide was a great combination. The kayaks were either single or double and were proper sit-in kayaks. We visited 3 islands and learned much about the local area from Boris. He and his wife Ivka run this small business and it was clear that they put love into their work. Towards the end of the tour at a beautiful sunset viewing spot, we had delicious home-made food and wine from his family’s vineyard. They even made gluten-free canapés for me. The entire experience far exceeded my expectations. I would love to return and tour more with Boris.

Lovely guide with lots of knowledge about culture and history and seems like a genuinely lovely person.

We had a little homemade nibbles and grk wine and watched the sunset after a very lovely kayak tour, involving a few stops off. I wouldn't say you need to be particularly fit for it either so anyone can do it really, maybe share a kayak with someone more confident if you aren't confident, but don't miss out on this activity when you are In Korčula!

Boris and his wife collected us from the bus station and dropped us off in our locations after the trip, they were great!

Great place for kayaking. Price was pretty high, 50 euro per kayak. The scenery is amazing. You can reach 3 islands in 5 hours, including short stays on those islands. And we travelled with 2 young kids.

We had such a wonderful time on our sunset kayak tour and it was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip to Croatia. Beautiful calm waters, picturesque scenery, and nice stops to walk around the islands. Boris was knowledgeable and friendly. It was such a treat to end the night with the setting sun, Grk, and homemade Klasuni! Highly recommend!

Me and my partner really enjoyed our kayak tour boris is so knowledgable and clearly very passionate about the island the history and the nature. We absolutely loved the picnic and the homemade traditional cakes were so delicious. Our first taste of the local wine was enjoyable and made so much better after a swim on the beach and some homemade snacks, my partner particularly enjoyed the anchovies! Absolute must do on your visit, we did many excursions and this was by far our highlight.

My wife and I saw kayaks only on tv. That was not a problem for us to book a Sunset Tour and with the help of Boris, our professional guide, we had a great experience. He made a briefing before departure about the way points of the tour and about the basics of kaiaking, he also gave us PFD and a dry bag for personal belongings and finally set the kaiak seats for each one of us. Then, we've started the tour and I can say that in no more than five minutes we managed to sync up our strokes.
Boris has been a great guide and he shared with us bits of Croatian history, local insight informations and at the end, on the last stop, in a beautiful sunset, he offered us homemade snacks and a glass of their famous homemade wine Grk.
For us, this was the first tour of this kind and we are happy we did it.

PS : if you are in vacation in Croatia, don't miss this kind of activities. You will enjoy it for sure and you will also help small growing businesses as this one. And Boris (an enthusiastic and professional guide) definitely deserve it. 👍🏻

My teens decided the sunset trip we did with Spirit of Korkyra was the highlight of our Croatian holiday. What a brilliant few hours kayaking round some little islands, listening to all the history and swimming in crystal clear water. The wine and snacks as the sun went down were the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

Amazing tour! Everything was perfect.
It wasn't just kayaking, it was literally a small roadtrip to the nearby islands with great storytelling about Korčula and a small food tasting with their amazing Grk wine.
They even made sure you can choose gluten free, vegan, vegetarian options for the food tasting.
Oh, and amazing price. Especially for the value they provide.

We had an amazing trip with Boris. He reminded us just how much we love kayaking and that it is something we need to try and do more of at home in the UK/London.

Boris didn't just let us get on with it as we paddled from island to island but actively helped us to improve our technique. It felt as though he genuinely cared about our improvement and that he was proud of us when we did - we were sharing his passion - and after just a few hours with him, I felt like a much better paddler.

He was very aware and considerate of every individual's ability and cared for our safety and wellbeing along the way. This was made very evident as one of our fellow paddler's did have a foot injury. Boris looked out for her every step (paddle) of the way.

Boris' local knowledge is amazing. He is a proud Croatian and passionate about the country's history and that of each of the individual islands he took us to. We learned far more for this trip than we could have any other way.

I'd already highly recommended a trip with Boris but to top it off, we fished our tour with a glass (or 2, or 3) of local wine on our final island stop - it was delicious and finally made the last push back to Lumbarda a touch easier! This trip, meeting Boris is an absolute must when you visit Korčula!

Turned up on the day and within 20 minutes we had a kayak and was out at sea. Boris was incredibly helpful and friendly. The kayak was perfect with two dry bags and a water bottle holder. Also a very good price for half a day. Got to see two beautiful islands as we only had the afternoon and got both beaches to ourselves.

We spend the afternoon with Boris and two other couples kayaking. The kayak tour was amazing: Boris told us a lot about the islands and guided us to a deserted island, an acient monastery and prepared nice snacks and cookies at sunset. The wine was soo tasty! Definetly worth the (short) ride from Korcula and it could not have been better. Highly recommend!

After reading all the reviews we had high expectations and we certainly weren’t disappointed! It was an incredible day and well worth the money. The kayaks were great, the groups are small so you get a lot of attention, the scenery is stunning and Boris’s knowledge of the area was very insightful. The pace of the tour is well thought out with chances to swim in the crystal clear waters. We did it in our first day in Korcula and picked up lots of tips and info about the island that helped us get the most out of our time there. I cannot recommend this enough!

The best way to explore the islands around Lumbarda. The price for half day rent was more than good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, in case you are not comfortable heading out alone I would recommend the guided tour.

Awesome trip around the island and Boris, the guide, was simply amazing. He is cheerful and full of energy, always eager to help you and make the experience the most pleasant one. We went to 4 islands, but he let us go in our own pace so no rush to get there at some time. Had a small picnic with great appetisers from local food, great pastries made by his wife and local wine (grk) made by his family. He makes sure you remain with a nice view of the area and a good understanding of their traditions, history and culture. Truly recommend.

Beautiful, informative and really fun kayak trip! We’re not ones who do many organized activities during vacation but thought the half day kayak trip was totally worth it. I learned a lot not just about the islands we visited but about the culture, food and history of Korcula. I didn’t have much experience with kayaks either and felt very safe and in good hands with Boris. He and Ivka were wonderful—you can tell they do this from the heart. This experience is absolutely incredible. Standing in the middle of the sea, the views, the islands, everything was amazing. Boris provide historic infos but also insides from their lifestyle to better understand how they live, eat, work, etc. But above all, he has a truly warm heart and offered us something more than just an experience. Husband and I booked this tour and it exceded our expectations! Boris is a great guide and very pleasant person! Communication during booking process was fast and easy. Kayaks are of high quality and stable. I recommend you book this tour early during your stay because not only will you kayak around beautiful islands and swim in most beautiful sea, but you will get tons of interesting informations about Korčula history and usefull recommendations about Korčula nowdays. Home made pastries and wine are also not to be missed ;) Boris and Ivka do a great job! This tour was highlight of our trip to Korčula, and the competition when it comes ti Korčula is high :)

The kayak journey was awesome! Boris is an excellent tourist guide. The trip has the perfect combination of historical information, beautiful views, and a delicious picnic with homemade local food and wine.

Boris was the best guide, super lovely genuine guy. Easy and pleasant kayak across, with some good history, natural wildlife and fauna and a great wee picnic with some different types of Grk and homemade bakes. 10/10 would recommend again
