Incredible gem in the middle of the island. A family restaurant with nice home atmosphere where they serve fresh tasty food from today's catch. Pleasantly greeted by waiter upon arrival, given fresh water, homemade liquor on the house. No classic menu, waiter explained everything available at the table, was very flexible to give us half portion of everything do we try as much as we can. You can pick Fran fish plate, scampi with homemade pasta, etc. All's fresh and homemade. Dessert also on the house, small cake of the day. House wine very tasty. Prices more than fair, you won't get a better deal anywhere in Korčula for such fine food, wine, mood and view. Highly recommended. Thanks for the great dinner and s pleasant evening.

A very special gem in Pupnat that I almost wish doesn't get more popular. It's a family run restaurant and everyone is involved. They are expert fishermen and dad is responsible for the grill. All vedgetables are from the garden. I recommend you go for octopus under the bell - you need to order it in advance and its the best I ever had. Lobsters and fresh fish are also great. I couldnt recommend this place any more!!

We can highly recommend to make a reservation at Pagar when staying on the Island of Korčula. It is a very good family restaurant with fresh fish every day and freshly baked bread, homemade wine and Ice Tea.
The waiter is very friendly and passioned. We would def. come back again! You can tell they love what they do.

The best on Korcula and more. Fresh fish, great domestic wine (Posip). We got aperitives and deserts 'on the house', both great! Run by nice family, really polite and hard working people. Can't wait to come back again.

This restaurant doesn’t have a menu, instead a super friendly waiter brings you a plate of fish so you could chose those you want to grill (meat dishes are also available). Otherwise, the resto offers appetisers as well (fish paté with fresh bread or octopus salad). For the drinks, they offer a house wine.
To awake you appetite you are offered a free rakija (strong one) right after your arrival. A complement desert is offered as well at the end.
Excellent experience and beautiful view on the village.

Awesome local food, fresh fishes and shrimps and excellent taste.
Normal prices. The only thing is that they do not accept credit cards.

Great fresh fish offer in family run restaurant. We got a fair price for extra class of fish with all side dishes. The family is catching the fish on their own so everything is fresh and home made. There is no menu but you can easily agree on what’s the catch of the day, meat or fish, but there are also regular dishes such as risotto and buzara. Also, the service is really welcoming and polite.

Authentic dining experience. Fresh, “from sea to table” fish, vegetables straight from the garden, tomatoes to die for... “No bullshit” menu, fish grilled in front of us in the traditional stone fireplace. No beer, just beautiful local wine, as it should be in traditional “konoba”. Would highly recommend house special, shrimps with handmade pasta “makaruni” in heavenly tomato sauce. Beyond delicious! Atmosphere is pure chill and hosts are really nice and make you feel welcome. You can see attention to detail in everything. Suprisingly fairly priced. For 200 kn per person we had wine, sparkling water, 1st class fish with bread and sides, salads and shrimp appetizer. Aperitif and sweet bites were complementary. EDIT We came back, for shrimps as main course. Perfect! Magic is happening at Pagar. No fake expanses, tap water allways on the table, we didn’t even have to ask for it. For 250 kn per person we had 1,8kg of shrimps with makaruni, fish plate, 1l of house wine and sparkling water. Aperitif and sweet bites are still complementary. By far the best dining experience on the island of Korčula.

Fine food. The wait time a bit long, but it was packed and not many hands on deck, as only family members allowed to work at such establishments.

Extraordinaire service and food for 10 stars. Mediterranean cuisine as it is supposed to be in beautiful authentic ambient. Highly recommended. Dish on the photo ‘scampi na buzaru’ + ‘grilled orada and ugor’ 😍
Also, cold plate as a starter is a must!

Delicious fish straight from fishermen. The owners of the restaurant are fishermen who serve you their catch of the day. There is no menu, offer depends on the catch. As a result you get the freshest food combined with homemade starters, drinks and a dessert. At the end, you pay half the price of a dinner elsewhere in Croatia. Highly recommended!

Yep, giving 5 stars only after a cold starter. This is a rare restaurant that lives up to the promise of "domestic" and "authentic" cuisine. The waiter claimed that nothing on our plate was produced outside of their family business. I can confirm this since I am a local and know about this place for a long time now .. simply put, delicious.

Delicious and affordable konoba experience. Great fish dishes, homemade and tasty. Try the shrimp appetizer, it's beautiful. The service was also very good, made us feel comfortable and at home.

EDIT: Visited again after three years, still great!

Pagar is the best place to eat on the island, no doubt for me on that, and I'm local. Prices are ridiculously low, you get free stuff every time and there are no other places on the island that can boast with the fact they are serving only fish that they caught themselves. This is a must go while on Korčula, and I am not biased. If it was walking distance to my house id go every friday

One of the best restaurants we visited in Croatia! Unforgettable cosy atmosphere, very friendly staff, delicious food at such a good price! And finally, we were served like in a very premium place and not somewhere in a small Croatian village. Just TOP! Do not forget to order local specialty - baked octopus - in advance ;)

Great family owned fish restaurant with wooden grilled fish of the day during summer. Call before to make reservation.

Wow! I've heard Pagar was good and the reviews it has are amazing, but none really give it the credit or deserves! Prices aren't low, but 40 EUR/kg of top quality and freshness fish in the high season and on an island is just amazing. The John Dory (Sanpjer, as it is called here) was the freshest fish I've cleaned in a long time, it was just incredible. Great food, great service at amazing prices.
