Hotel Kukuriku

It’s an amazing little hotel in the oldtown of Kastav with lovely details and fabulous staff! The Room were big and comfortable! Breakfast was delicious with a topping of fresh orange juice.
Too bad that I hadn't any chance to try the restaurant but seems like a perfect reason to stay again at this unique place in Croatia - thank you for the good time - !! highly recommended !!

Clean, comfortable and quiet rooms.
Personnel speaks English and Italian, everybody here is polite and helpful.
The restaurant offers pleasant meals in the old, elegant square which is hidden from the Main Street.
I left my car in the nearby parking (free) and someone from the hotel picked me up with a caddy car as I was carrying lots of luggages.

The restaurant is full of charm with its terrace and the food is exquisite!
BE CAREFUL: do not drive there!!
Park just below in the village and walk up to the restaurant.
The GPS will take you through the woods in narrow dirt roads.

Stayed here in March 2018 with my husband. We chose the hotel on a whim and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting, kinder staff or more delicious food. Caution with directions on maps as we had a bit of a difficult time getting there. The hotel dog was also an extra plus. Can’t wait to return again one day.

We were intrigued by the small medieval town setting and the slow-food, no menu, chef's choice method. Boy, we were not disappointed. My GPS got us lost, so just head over to Kastav city center, park the car - forget getting there any other way - and walk. Just look at the pictures to see how good the food was. Trust me, it was. Fabulous wine pairings too. Service was friendly and professional. 5 course menu with wine was about 500kn per person, which is decent for the quality and amount of food. The hotel looked nice, maybe next time! If you're a foodie in the Rijeka/Opatija area, you don't want to miss this place.

We loved our stay here! Really nice hotel and staff. The breakfast was delicious and we also had dinner at the hotel's restaurant one evening which was really tasty too. Awesome location in the center of Kastav. Highly recommended!!

Knowing about it for several years but always just passing by, I finally decided to stay at this hotel with my family for one hot summer weekend. It is hard to say what I was amazed by more; the location, the very center of the old medieval city of Kastav, near to the well where citizens grabbed their portions of water but also drowned one hated mayor; the architecture of the whole square and the hotel building itself; rooms decorated with such level of style and technology that you could easily mix with some Hawaiian resort; or, the most impressive, the breakfast served by the owner-manager himself! Not the common practice as it was explained, but a gesture to let employees have a free Sunday morning. The prices are a bit high, but the comfort, location and warm welcome can very well justify them.

One of the best hotel I ever was. I stood sevaral times in this hotel. Just small but modern and very high quality level. Also the quality restaurant with local food is very high. I like this hotel.
