Traditional market there since decades. Make sure you visit early morning and during the main fishing season. It has a lot to offer.

Amazing market with fresh seafood, local produce, cheeses, and meats. The largest vegetable market I've ever visited with some old world charm (balance scales abounding). A must visit if only to feel the deep jealously that your city's inhabitants don't value fresh produce enough to make magic like this happen. We plan to go back and make a meal entirely of food purchased here. Highly recommended.

This place has changed with the times, but you can still find plenty of old ladies selling veggies from their gardens, small producers of goat cheese and olive oil, as well as a cornucopia of cured meats, vines, and freshly caught sea dwellers. It's open daily, unlike many Western weekend-only fresh markets, and is a great thing to stay near by when visiting Rijeka. The quality of food will blow palate away, unless you're local and all of this is your everyday, regular life.

Point of intersection diferent foods, regions of Croatia and beyond.There is a hudge part od non-food market from small farms and fresh burek shops where you will enjoy. Fishmarket, flowershops, garderning, shop for small animals, coffe shops in beautiful historycal buildings full of mixture of private flats and officies. You can find keymaker, people selling their vaerty of handmades, liquers, crafties, toys, clothes, evan excelent second hand stuff. The very frequent bus stations are 3minuts on foot or 5minuts for many parking places. You can buy in old fashion looking supermarket (both indoors and outdoors) Brodokomerc. There are few Great restorans on Riva coast side, few vinaryes, coffe bar, pharmaceutical store. The more you go towards the Senjsko pristanište coast you can see half open storehouses.
